Thx for all the tips, etc. I love doing this, I've been practicing 3 hours a day 5 days a week and looking back at my first piece from 3 months ago compared to my current piece, WOW such a difference. Thx again
I was a tattoo artist for 14 years and stopped and been wanting to get back into art an watching your videos gots me inspired, just bought a Dremel 4000 kit with flex shaft and some of that Anodized Aluminum Sheet and im gonna give it a go. ty bro, been looking for some thing my style with my tattoo background and this is it now to just learn the tool.
Lucky i found this video. I bought a rechargable rotory tool from lidl store for €20 to modify a car exhaust manifold but now i see there are other ways i can use this tool. Thankyou
I saw one of your videos, pulled the dremel out of the work truck, and put a stylized sig logo on my girlfriends airport-friendly locking pistol case. She lit up, I was proud of it, and now I'm working on putting dragons on lumber.
I am going to buy a fiber laser for sure both for the speed and profitability but I am a learn the base method (where it came from) kind of guy. Kind of like, yeah anyone can push a button and tell the laser to “go” but without it can you make that image? With that I say I appreciate the insight and tutelage you offer in these videos and thank you.
@@MachinaDesigns I agree with you that hand is definitely the superior method! I’m trying to undertake all aspects of the craft, rotary, laser, pneumatic graver, and all the way to hammer and graver becoming proficient at each along the way. I’ve currently hit the wall in my trade of TIG welding and man has it gotten repetitive and boring. I like to create and this along with my abilities I currently have definitely put some pep in my step and renewed my vigor. I’m still very new in the art but I love it!
That’s awesome! There is so much to learn across the art forms but you’ll open many doors being proficient at different forms however don’t spread yourself too thin. So the real question is do you want to be a Jack of all trades or a master of one?
@@MachinaDesigns Being that each style is truly its own animal in the sense of methodology I would say that none can truly be mastered bc there is always something to be learned for any endeavor in life. I however will be proficient in one before moving to the next so I would not spread thin and get exasperated or burned out.
i binged watched your engraving video yesterday and was astonished to not see the classical engraved writing! i just have 1 question and is: How thick are the alu-sheets you engrave on?
@@MachinaDesigns Would you know where you purchased your carbide burrs for outlining and shading? Currently doing a day of the dead girl portrait and I'm not getting the effect I was aiming for. Thinking it might be the size of my bur and or pressure.
I get all mine from Dremel. If you have a look at one of my videos that looks at engraving from an in depth point of view has all the info that you’ll need to get started
I wish you would have more talked about how to price your work, how to value it. Finding the niche market, i have, the only issues i have is how do you price the time it take, project, hours, etc. Thanks Cheers.
I know I ask a lot of questions but what would you estimate a price for a beginner or for let’s say the hours that you put in your work. Because you have inspired me to do this and I’m just starting to buy the equipment.
Pricing is very difficult to get into and has a lot of different variables. Ultimately comes down on what you feel comfortable in charging. What do you think it’s worth and how much you value your time. I charge per project not on an hourly basis.
Hey there! im start watching your videos because i brought a dremel and i want it to do some craft for hobbie and i like you work but, in wich material you are graving? Thanks a lot you have a new subcribtor ;)
Hey brotha wante to ask when doing pieces this large and for all your work, how do you base your pricing? I take it that you consider size of the image and amount of detail and whether it's a stipple job. But just curious since I'm getting into dremel work myself. please let me know when you get a chance. I'd greatly appreciate tips and insights
Pricing is a tough one as time is priceless. Find a comfortable rate that works well with time spent doing a particular size job. You’ll get to a point where your work speaks for itself through continuous practice and you will be in high demand. Never price yourself cheaply as people will always take advantage of this.

Awesome! It’s a great art form to get into
Hey man could you do a video where people can send you a pic of there work and you give tips and pointers on the piece.
That’s a great idea! Follow me on Instagram and we’ll start putting that together

Fantastic man! Glad to hear it buddy. Keep up the good work
this is absolutely gorgeous work.
Thank you sir
Hey great videos! W here can I get the black boards you used in this video?
Thank you. Try local metal suppliers or eBay. Try getting your hands on anodised aluminium sheets
Thank you bro 👍

You’ll be able to do many things with the laser engraver but you’ll never be able to gain the same textures or effects as doing it by hand.

I am not sure

Assistindo do brasil , tem algum vídeo seu usando a dremel engraver ? Comprei uma e quero suas dicas de como usar
yes i have plenty videos showing how to use the Dremel
i binged watched your engraving video yesterday and was astonished to not see the classical engraved writing! i just have 1 question and is: How thick are the alu-sheets you engrave on?
They are 1.2mm thick
Do you change your burr bits during the process of your engravings? Or are you using one burr through the whole process
Yeah from time to time I change it out. Just be sure to use the same ones 😂😂

Ok
Do you draw your own designs? Do you have to like to draw to do this?
Sometimes yes, and you don’t have to be able to draw to engrave. If you struggle then templates are the way to go
