This is hands down the best video on dremel engraving detailed transfers. I am new to dremel and was searching for honestly quite some time until finding this. Subscribed.
Looking to start getting into this form of art. I’ve done glass engraving and art pieces on wood. Your videos are an excellent tutorials and encouragement. I appreciate it all
Awesome do it as soon as you can. Super rewarding when you can stand back and look at some awesome creations you can make when you put a tool and your mind to it
Just found your RUclips channel...got yourself a new subscriber!!!,your skill engraving is out of this world 👍. I've got a dremel engraver and a normal dremel ....right only thing to do now is give it a try ! Peace out ✌️
Thank you for sharing such detailed work.. :) Question : Why not use a white paint on the Aluminium when transferring from the Tattoo transfer paper, ? would that not be easier to see ?
Awesome video man! And beautiful work. Since these are aluminum, and I can’t tell if it’s chrome or polished…do you clear coat these after engraving so they don’t oxidize? I have some Harley stuff I want to attempt eventually. Thank you in advance!
I appreciate the tips and advice. If you have time, could you upload a video for transferring an image to a surface with radius such as a gas tank, and how you would approach a project like that. Thanks!
Does the cutlube always flake when coating the burr? And is it advisable to maybe a bit of water or oil to moisten it so it actually clings to the burr?
@@MachinaDesigns Thanks mate. I've been looking over your work on FB and it's really giving me ideas. I am crap at art but I like tinkering with tools. I'm thinking of getting my arty daughter to draw some designs for me to practice soon. You may end up with a dozen questions from us soon :)
Badass bro I like drawing graffiti and dragon ball stuff but mostly graffiti. I’ve been doing that for over 20 years and have actually taught a lot of people. Anyways my question was and maybe you covered this already but where do you get that specific plate your using ? Secondly I’ve noticed there’s 2 types of engraving I’m sure your aware of this, what’s the big difference you think. I feel the dremal gives you more freedom compared to the other way they engraved.. I appreciate the whereabouts I can get that type of black sheet to start drawing on other then like canisters I’ve been trying to do and also why they do it a different way.. thanks boss much respect homie..
Awesome bro that’s a pretty sweet skill to have and to add to the engraving side. It’s aluminium sheet that’s either anodised or you can just spray your own colour. Yeah so there’s pneumatic engraving which is old school and mainly for fine arts and jewellery but can be used in bigger applications. Rotary engraving using a Dremel is very different in application but is super versatile. You can get the sheets from local metal suppliers or even eBay and they get cut to size too. No problem buddy and thank you for stopping by
@@MachinaDesigns Thanks alot bro, maybe Homedepot will have that . I appreciate the compliment as well bcuz of you showing you skills I’m thinking if I do bombs on metal sheets how will it look you know bcuz your not working with paper or walls and I’ve seen how you apply paint to those pieces you do and man that pops.. You’ll prob be hearing alot from me asking questions hope you koo with that . I don’t like to bug people but just FYI and nothing but the respect going your way homie.. I asked another vato he seemed very arrogant and secretive about a couple questions I had asked him. So after that I just didn’t mess with him .. but again much respect bro
All Derby covers are made from aluminium so they don’t rust. Chrome however peels and chips when engraved so be careful. A generous layer of clear coat will do the job.
I'm from Brazil and I find your videos wonderful and very inspiring. Congratulations !
Thank you buddy appreciate it

I'm really enjoying all these beginner tutorials! If I want to try painting regular aluminum, what king of spray paint would I use?
Make sure you etch the surface so the paint can sufficiently bond to the metal then you’ll be fine using most paints that you may like
Thank You!
You’re welcome
Bad ass!!! Wanting to do similar stuff to my rocker covers like you did in prior videos. Thanks for sharing!!
What are you waiting for do it!
Machina Designs .... definitely going to, moving across the country at the moment.

Hey that turned out cool what kind of paint did you use and after you engrave do you put any thing else on to protect it from getting scratched
Thanks man I just use pinstriping paint and no I just leave it but you can clear coat it. It makes it really pop
Right on thanks
Excellent job by the way
Thank you
Absolutely Awesome Idea!!!
Just the beginning 😉
@@MachinaDesigns im going to invest in a Worx MakerX and get back into Pinstriping. Cant wait to try my hand at this.

timspa1967 thank you for taking the time to reach out! That’s a great idea! I’ll definitely do that ASAP
Impressive ! Quick question how do you transfer an image on a Derby cover (sportster) with it being a dome shape ? Any help welcome. ta
I use tattoo transfer paper but mostly improvise with difficult shapes
can you add the listed materials that was in your video in the description box please if you dont have it listed.
Yeah sure
Put a link on the page to some where they can be bought, or auctioned.
Will do
Does the cutlube always flake when coating the burr? And is it advisable to maybe a bit of water or oil to moisten it so it actually clings to the burr?
Yes, dip the burr into it while it’s spinning and it will coat it pretty good. Never had issues with it not clinging to the burrs
Thanks bokkie. 🙌
Haha you’re welcome
Awesome video. Keep them coming
Thanks! Will do!
That’s some talent right there!! 👌🏼
Thank you buddy
Thank you for such a great and detailed explanation of your techniques. Just ordered a new rotary tool and fancy trying something new :)

You’re welcome buddy anytime
Nice
Thanks
Where do you get the cutting lube from?
Readily available online from Amazon, eBay etc
Which tattoo transfer paper are you using? Brand?
I’ll be honest I just get anything from eBay
And where can we get the sheet pre made I tried to find them on eBay
Anthony Agliano so just search for anodised aluminium sheet. Readily available here in the U.K. and I’m sure they will ship to where you are.
Thanks for the info helps
Anthony Agliano you’re very welcome
How do you do color on glass
I belive you can get paint specifically designed for glass and ceramics
How do you stop your metal finished project from rusting where it has been engraved especially on things like chromed metal derby covers thx
All Derby covers are made from aluminium so they don’t rust. Chrome however peels and chips when engraved so be careful. A generous layer of clear coat will do the job.
Where do I get the foam on your hand piece? I have bought some for pencils and markers but it is too small.
I custom made mine buddy
Ah okay, then I will as well! Thanks for the reply, love your channel!
Where can i get those sheets of steel
EBay, metal suppliers etc
Where do you find ur images to transfer.
Images come from my clients that I use for engraving
Im sorry bro but are you saying aluminum?
Yes sir!
THAT'S BADASSSS
Thank you buddy
An idea is to put these UP for sale if they are not sold, lots of people doing that.
I tend to give them away instead, but selling them is always a decent option
What is he saying? Black aluminium????
Yes black aluminium
You killed brother
Thank you buddy
I see ... Puppy Feetz ... sticking out from under the table ❤
Indeed the old boy never leaves my side
It's not tattoo transfer paper, it's mimograph paper.
Ok
Thanks for your videos
