I agree, that is terrible. I could not even finish watching.
For "dividing" your screen. Try holding down the window key and use the arrow keys. Very useful for wide monitors! The attraction of wide monitors is as an alternative to two monitor setup or a 3 monitor setup combining a wide and a normal display with the normal display the secondary one. Of course ultra wide is also great for gaming and movies. Sure on youtube most videos are 16:9 these days but 21:9 starts to appear and so full screen will be without black bars.

Heres a tip for opening boxes like that. I learned this from working in a computer shop. Nine times out of ten just cut the tape on both ends on up and down the way instead of across the lenght of the tape. Then hold both ends and pull up. The tape usually just breaks across the seem.

the joke is that the shitty fisheyed lens of a gopro (~16mm focal length lens) makes it look like it curves away from u. makes it hard to see the monitor how you’d normally see it (~35mm focal length lens)
his thinking was “if i use a gopro i can get the whole monitor in frame from 6 inches away” which is like.... why lmfao? why not give us a real look at it, even if u have to move around to film it properly. just do it
I appreciate the effort you made to do this video about this product as no one else really has done anything of the sort. But please, get a better camera that is not doing fisheye.
Clear some room in your garage and put a desk specifically to review items and talk about them.

So, you'd need a 35" 16:9 monitor to give you 17" vertical height. I am coming from a 23" home and 28" work monitor, 11.3" and 13.7" tall, so this monitor gives about the same vertical space as the 28", but I am getting 9" more vertical area compared to the 28" and nearly 12" more than my 23" monitor. That means I can run a word doc alongside ArcGIS Pro and not lose mapping area or tools. Currently I have to shrink down the tools menu, lose some horizontal real estate, and shrink down my word doc text and program to fit everything there.
the monitor also runs at a higher resolution 3400x or whatever instead of 2400x(ish) on your average monitor which = plenty of room! looking forward to receiving mine in the mail tomorrow!
I have the Samsung 32" Class Curved Monitor and i love it, you get used to the curve and doesn't even seem like it is there, but it is a really great monitor

Thanks for sharing. Just to clarify for others - lack of VGA is normal due to high resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. DP and HDMI are the most common interfaces and they are on - even HDMI 1.1. This allows better compatibility albeit at lower refresh rate (due to bandwidth limitation on older standard, no fault on manufacturer's side).
p.s. refresh rate is 60Hz or 50Hz - I could not find any mention of 75Hz, I believe it was a different metric of 75KHz

In what world would you ever think using a wide angle lens is a good idea to review anything? You're portraying such a bad image for the companies product and potential buyers looking for such a monitor. People get the wrong impression when you aren't using a true angle lens. Please, never use it again.

Kathdath I'm happy with the monitor but powering on and off is a bit finicky. I'm going to get a wall mount monitor as this (and any other) uktra wide monitors tend to wobble easily
