Finally an amazon driver that doesn’t complain about the job. I start next Saturday and I’ve been watching videos and people complain that the job is hard. My shift is 7:20-5:20 so it’s good I won’t be out all night.
Yeah, I was able to become dispatch after like 9 months. I just did my job correctly and got along with everyone. And it was a dollar raise. 😁😁😁 well from 15 to 16.50
We will see how the interview goes tomorrow, but this video gave me a general idea of what to expect and I appreciate you taking the time to do this video bro! I hope all is well and you and your family are safe and healthy 🙏🏼💯
Thanks for your videos ...today is my first day driving by myself , I'm super nervous but you def calmed me down and helped me with my anxiety. I'm getting ready now! Excited but nervously counting down the minutes haha! Ty again for your help and encouragement!! Let's go get this day done so I feel better haha!! Let's go make some money and some people 😁 smile!!
The last story you had mentioned something similar happened to me. I was laying on my bed in my trailer and the door was locked I hear someone walking towards me and I felt that they leaned forward and exhale smoke into my face.
So life update after getting all frustrated with the DSP disorganization in the beginning. No training was provided except only for the video training still doesn’t take away the fact from learning hands on is different. So I completed my first two shifts in a week, my first day they assigned me a Hertz van and I had no more than 90 stops they gave be a easy route which was my hometown that was very familiar with so it wasn’t too bad but I was able to under stand the routes on my rabbit followed each step with identifying the labels and scanning and figuring out the number of packages per house. The second day was a breeze, I feel like as time goes by I’ll get better.. good thing I’m text savvy or else I would of been lost. I also looked at different videos on YT and coming across yours helped me a lot to understand learning hands on as well. So Thankyou Juan for creating this video 👍🏽🙂

They should give you an online one. For example my dsps uses this app called “Blink” and from there you could see the schedule, pick sheet, chat with your managers, and many more things. Haha but they should provide you with everything in an app on your phone.
Hey bro, love your videos, very helpful. Tomorrow they got me doing a virtual training for like 10 hours and then I take an exam and have to pass with 80% or better, is the exam hard or any helpful advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the video Bro, i'm having my interview tomorrow, and they recomended your video for delivery PD: those footsteps you heard, somethin similar happened to me and my friend when we were at the pool almost midnight but it wasnt high heels It was more like a giant foot frkn scared 😩

That way the last tote I put in the van it’s the first one I’m going to start delivering :)
I’d it’s on your itinerary you can just go to the maps and deliver one package and then go to the maps again and deliver the next package on the same street. If I’m reading your comment correctly.
IAmTheJuanAndOnly thanks Juan! I’m not to far from you. I’m in Austin Texas. I think you’re in Dallas? Been watching your videos become im afraid of messing up my first delivery 😅

Usually, to deliver faster I just walk a bit faster and I don't take my lunch. (well I do but I don't if you know what I mean). But I'll try to explain it next time if I can.
The beginning was spot on 😂 love your energy man! Just had my interview as a driver today. When you get to the address do you look for the package by the address on package or type of code on package?

@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly thanks for replying bro. I have an interview this Tuesday, so I just wanted to make sure lol Also, do they lay people off from this job?
Just depends my man. Haha make sure you do your job correctly and you’ll be fine. :) usually the laziest people get laid off. They try to take too many short cuts and get caught
Question: So after I applied the DSP ( guessing he was the owner) called for a Phone Screening and after that said that ill need to create a new email so he can submit it to Amazon to go forward with the next step, and that Amazon with send a email for further steps. Do you know how long that will be? He didn't mention it.
Once you create the email you’ll start making your Amazon profile because Amazon has to put you into their system. This portion usually can take a while. Maybe 1-4 days depending on the app.
It’s fast, I started mine this week and it was done within 48hr. Monday I start the virtual training and I’ll go in Tuesday to fit for uniforms and whatever else. He said we’ll work my schedule for next week also so I ASSUME I start next week. Would make a very weird pay period though as it’s not the first of the month. The flex app won’t do anything once you finish your portion until you’re trainings complete it does whatever it does. Questions to the OP “ the video creator “ that’s not your personal phone is it?? He hasn’t told me about that yet. I’ll google after I send this. Ain’t no way I’m using my $1200 phone to do this 😅🙃. Also, you’re vehicles there don’t have camera watching every move? This guy makes it seem as if touching you’re phone for one second is a HUGEEEEE red flag 🚩. Seatbelts, speeding over 3mph, this this this this and you’re 1000 point system.
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly cool thanks for the helpful vids bro. Had my first day yesterday! it was all apartments but only 50 packages. i STRUGGLED lol id deliver 1 package in the neighborhood and the hit start route for the next one so id be going back and forth trying to find those damn number on flex. any tips to make that a smoother process?
Lol so for apartments what you can do is go to your itinerary and go to the maps section. Once you get there you can zoom in to the location that you’re at and check how many stops you have in that one location. You can click on the number and preview the route and it will tell you the address. Once you find out what address it is you can locate all the packages to deliver and place them in one tote and carry those with you. Lol that’s how I would do it. Did that make sense? That way I don’t have to keep going back and forth in and out of an apartment complex. Let me know if I need to explain it better lol
IAmTheJuanAndOnly no no made total sense yea working with maps has been essential lol thanks for the advice I’ll keep watching ur stuff stay safe out there✌🏼
So My question for you is when I’m scanning my packages and totes, i scroll up and it says a couple packages weren’t scanned and they tell me that they’re in the totes someplace when I’ve already loaded up the van. It feels overwhelming whenever I load up a lot. Can you give me tips so I can be more efficient.
Basically When that happens to me... Either I can look for it or I go to the help desk and ask them to remove it. If I find it along the way I go to itinerary then I click "pick up" and scan it back into my itinerary and deliver it. :)
They did the same for me, sometimes I’ll get done with my totes and have a couple boxes overflow I still have. I’d scan but won’t show up cuz I already scanned it loading them and it doesn’t show in the itinerary which to me is a bit odd. But hey, it’s my third day training with the company that delivers packages for amazon and they’re paying me so it’s a good start.
@@trainman701 It could be a problem with how they entered it into the system or sometimes I get packages that are not even mine on my route and I have to return them. If I get a package that isn't mine then I either A) If its 10 mins or less away I'll pick it up and deliver it or B) if its more than 10 mins away I take it back to the station so they can put it back into the proper route. :)
Awesome, thanks ma dude. Even though my hobby is just trains in general and people feel like I should work for a railroad. But I feel like my true calling is just working on vans and delivering stuff. God works in mysterious ways.
My feet do get a bit tired, but if you’re flat footed try maybe getting some foot pads for your shoes , or some really comfortable shoes that can help you with that. I don’t want you to get discouraged because of your feet hurting :(
MY BOY U DOING GREAT BROTHER. HERES MY QUESTION THE SORT ZONE NUMBER FOR EXAMBLE YELLOW STICKER IS E-4.2B BUT ON THAT SAME TOTES THERES 20 PACKAGES IS THAT 20 PACKAGES CONTAIN THE SAME E-4.2B OR HAS DIFFERENT YELLOW STICKER NUMBER PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND THANKS
You’re exactly right my friend! Everything within that tote will have the same sort zone number! And that’s also how you can tell what overflow belongs to what tote :)
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly THANKS MY BROTHER YOU BEEN VERY HELPFUL WITH ME AND OTHERS GOD BLESS YOU MY MAN. LAST QUESTION I ALREADY APPLIED TO ONE OF THE DSP OFFICE AND MY QUESTION IS HOW IS THE INTERVIEW PROCCESSS OR HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE TO RESPOND BACK WITH AN INTERVIEW
It all depends on the dsp, but they are usually quick to respond to applications. Things might be a little slow because of peak season and amazon stopped training. So it just might not be till the New Years., but I could be wrong. I’d just wait to see what your dsp says
Hey, can you make a video about the benefits that come with the job; such as 401k, medical coverage, paid time off, etc. What benefits have you recieved for working with your DSP?
Hey there, I was wandering how many packages a hour are you required to deliver. In class I was told 20 now it’s 25 and also would amazon fire someone if couldn’t meet the criteria. I deliver out of Orlando, Fl. Love your videos.
Depending on the DSP you work with They should work with you on helping you get to the right amount of deliveries per hour. usually its 25 which isn't hard you just have to get used to the walking :)
IAmTheJuanAndOnly do you actually run because I’m power walking and trying my best to hit the 20. I know some of the guys are literally running to get off early but I want my full time and I don’t actually want to run. It’s about safety
Karen Price sorry for late reply Karen! I didn’t mean to ignore you or anything I just didn’t get the notification. :( but I power walk and just move in a fast efficient manner. How are things for you? Delivering 50 an hour yet? Once again sorry for such a late reply.
IAmTheJuanAndOnly NP I just don’t get it. I average 15-18 stops per hour. No one wanted to help me get better and I know I was scanning and organizing and power walking but my routes sucked. It’s ok I quit and looking to go to another DSP.
The fun fact about stars and their light actually depends on how many lightyears away they are/were from your current position. But yeah, basically right! ^^'
Sorry for commenting on a 9month-old video, lol Also, wow, do you like comments automatically, or are you some kinda youtube wizard? Anyway, my first day is Sunday, so I'm checking back here for tips. Thank you so much for these videos!
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly Wow! Thanks so much for reaching back. I’m really curious and it seems like a fun job. Would you recommend it to someone whose an aspiring actor/in college at art school?
Hmm 🤔 to do it part time yeah. But full time you might start off early like 9 or 10 but getting out of depends on how fast YOU are. So if you get really good, you could possibly finish a route pretty quickly. Some dsps allow you to leave after you finish, but some require you to do a rescue meaning your have to help other drivers before you can go home. Unless the dsp can work with you, I’d bring that subject up with them :)
Hey love the videos, I do have a question; my dsp is new and my boss is basically running the show by himself, that being said I've been working my ass off and my boss said he would show me how much he appreciated my work. So is it likely I might get moved to dispatcher as well? And how many dispatchers are there per dsp?
If Your boss really needs the help ask him if you could dispatch for him, It could take a lot of weight off his shoulders. Depending on the size of the company there could be from 2-4 dispatchers. The more you have the more people you'll need of course.
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly thank you, it's a very new dsp, I've only been doing this for a month and never got a ride along, your videos really helped and put my mind at ease. Good luck to you, I will definitely ask him
Thanks bro this was way better than their video on the rabbit app. I start tomorrow first day . But one question where do you park if the place you delivering is on a street house or businesses? And what if there is a lot of apartments as in a elevators type of way do you just leave it Infront their door step?
If it’s a business you can park at the lot. If it’s a house you can park on the street in front of the house. Not recommended but the drive says big enough I’d go into the drive way if it’s a long walk to the front door. If it’s a U driveway meaning there’s an in and an out then I’ll go in and leave after I drop off the package l. Make sure there’s not a locker. If there is a locker you can leave it in there l. If there is not ask they leasing office if they take package. If not then you drop the packages at the front door. 😁😁
Hey Maine great video fa sho I need some info if you can I got to do a driver training class on Monday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. how would that go if you know I received a text from the guy that hire me forgot to ask him were do I go online or to log into or do I wait for an e-mail or text from him or should I just hit him back up it also said computer can I just use my tablet instead like all the other videos with Amazon I did I got on with a dsp here in So.cal
I think most training videos were done through like a zoom call, but call the guy just to make sure. Lol but you’ll spend most of your day watching videos.
Hey bro I just finished my training. I did mine on my phone. I had to download google chrome because it wouldn’t work on safari. But I had spent my first day of training at home and on my phone. From 8 am to 3-3:30 pm

Okay so first of all I love your videos super funny! And second I just got done with my training class today and I believe I’m heading out tmr! I’m nervous 😬 I understood basically everything EXCEPT for 1 thing and it has to do with the pick sheet that we get in the beginning of the day, I understand what these things mean in the pick sheet ➡️ bag, bag packages, individual packages and zone packages 📦 the only one I don’t understand is the SORT ZONE! Like porfavor agudame lol 😂 😬 our instructor glazed over this, from what I understood from him is that we have to find out u boats whatever those crates that carry the totes and take them out to load. Like whaaaat! 😭 I hope my boss doesn’t call me in tmr.
Pretty simple...SO once you park where ever they need you to park They have people with papers that can tell you where your Cart of tots Are. You can ask them and they can tell you the location of your cart and you just pull it to your van and start loading! If you want to watch my very first video It kinda shows how I do it. :D If this isn't the question you mean let me know and I'll try to explain better.
Hey juan! How many days and how many hours a week you usually work? The company i had an interview with they told me they cant ensure me 40hr a week in 4 days couse they said Some days i might finish earlier i wonna leave my full time job couse i hate it so much but i dont want a big cut on my paycheck! 😖!! Nice video bro! 👍
Hours all depend on how fast you finish your route :) Some people start at 6 or 7 am and don't finish until 5 pm or so and others start at around 12 pm and finish around 7-9 pm or so. It all depends on how you work it and how fast you move :) I usually work around 30-40 hours a week. Depending on my route. I like to move fast and get home ASAP LOL but that's just me. You can go at your own pace as long as you finish.

Seatbelts, speeding over 3mph, this this this this and you’re 1000 point system.
if you deliver to a business thats open do you hand it to someone on duty?
Yeah. Most likely the front desk 👍🏼
IAmTheJuanAndOnly no no made total sense yea working with maps has been essential lol thanks for the advice I’ll keep watching ur stuff stay safe out there✌🏼
Watch my live stream I did a couple days ago. I explain what to do there too lol not sure exactly the time I explain it, but I do talk about it!
13:21 preach it bro!!!!
lmao! AMEN!
Yo, i think i know why you heard the footsteps.. Btw thanks for all the videos you post, such a huge help. Starting next week here in St.Pete FL. 🙏
Tell me why! I’m haunted aren’t I!? Haha thank you so much for the support!

@@trainman701 haha do what makes YOU happy!!! :)
How do you get a Amazon vest when you are new start?
Your company (dsp) should provide you with one.
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly thanks 😊
Damn bro you got a nice route. I deliver in Hollywood (apartments, offices, business etc.) One stop can have like 15 packages 😂
Hey so I basically have severe flat feet and I'm wondering does this job strain your feet or your feet doesn't hurt at the end of your shift ?
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly THANKS BROTHER I'LL KEEP AN EYE ON IT
Hey, can you make a video about the benefits that come with the job; such as 401k, medical coverage, paid time off, etc. What benefits have you recieved for working with your DSP?
I WLL SEE WHAT I CAN DO!
So I've been looking 4 years into the past every day since I look at the sun every morning? 🤔
Haha nah, the little farther ones it does take that time. The sun takes about 8.3 mints 😂😂
IAmTheJuanAndOnly NP
I just don’t get it. I average 15-18 stops per hour. No one wanted to help me get better and I know I was scanning and organizing and power walking but my routes sucked. It’s ok I quit and looking to go to another DSP.
What's a amazon?
Lol amazon is a company where you can order almost anything and delivery drivers bring it to your door step.
How long does background check take
I’m also a delivery driver for amazon, i have a hate & love relationship with this job 😭
lmao I FEEL YOU MAN!!!!
The fun fact about stars and their light actually depends on how many lightyears away they are/were from your current position. But yeah, basically right! ^^'
Sorry for commenting on a 9month-old video, lol
Also, wow, do you like comments automatically, or are you some kinda youtube wizard? Anyway, my first day is Sunday, so I'm checking back here for tips. Thank you so much for these videos!
I always try to reply if possible. ☺️ thanks so much taking the time to watch my content! I appreciate it!!
Awesome video! How do you like being an Amazon Driver?
It’s alright. lol not the best job ever but not the worst job ever. Every job has its ups and downs
Man!! How can you finish almost 200 packages a day???
haha its not bad. people do it all the time! just gotta get used to it . If you know how to pace yourself it can be done!
Good luck to you, I will definitely ask him
@@toadcat15 You're very welcome! GL ON YOUR JOB!!! YOU GOT THIS!!!
They gave me an interview but I’m only 20
Thanks bro this was way better than their video on the rabbit app.
AWESOME VIDEO!!!!!! LOL
Appreciate it! 😁😁😁
Thank you maty!
@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly o.k. I appreciate it Maine keep up the good work.
@@matyg8466 Did they send you a link to enter the classroom or its just like a one on one type video training or like Juan said a zoom type call I'm a text my boss on more info on that just trying to seek some advice Thank's for the reply it helps a lot

@@IAmTheJuanAndOnly aka the sun, what gives us life.
Lmao facts 😂
I just wanna do a good job
IAmTheJuanAndOnly I’m trying to find your very first video. What’s it called?
Where are u located bro???
Dallas tx 😁

Haha 😂 appreciate that. Trying to give alll my subs a good laugh.
Do they have cameras or audio monitoring in the vehicle? I kinda like to sing and don't wanna look foolish if they're watching me 😂
Lol they should have a dash cam. That way if anything happens they can see what happen and see who’s at fault. Trust me. I sing all the time! Lol
nice edit,lol

TOTES!!
So, how old are u tho😎
27! old i know. :( lmao but I feel young! BBY!!!
AND THANK YOU!!!!
I got my stimulus check the same day I got paid from my job so first I paid my bills and then I bought a guitar 😂😂

IAmTheJuanAndOnly I appreciate the confidence that’s what my higher ups told me. The next day was better but I also had 100 packages instead of like 220. I’m determined to figure this out Primero Diossss 😬😂
