      Not only dagestan! The most russian who are doing sambo make this! That‘s why „If sambo would be easy it would be called jui jitsu“ That‘s the diffrence! Jui jitsu is only jui Jjtsu, but in combat sambo it‘s allowed to kick and punching too! Sambo is a combination of yudo, jui jitsu and free style wresling! It‘s made by the soviet army for war! It‘s almost like MMA! That‘s the resson why we are better than you in it!

    Last night I went to a drop in gym because im visiting my parents at home. Of course every guy wanted to try me out! The last roll of the day I remembered this from
    Khabibs fight. He is my favorite warrior. So I was going with the last guy he’s sitting in trying to pas and I start collecting his legs. But I used my arms the whole time and was starting to move up slow. It was working well and I think he was shocked but I can’t wait to try it this way, with all legs. My takedowns are improving and everyone asks me “did you wrestle before” so I think I might be able to add this to the arsenal. Definitely gonna do the mount drill next time in class

      Exactly. This has worked for me since white belt, (purple belt now) my coach did a video on the over-under with Bernardo and it's the one he taught me. Seen khabib fight and wanted to do his mount ... It was nice when the realization hit how fluid it goes together. That and the step over mount if your arm gets left in (step over your arm and use upper body to pull it out when in mount.

    How can you translate this from a Ground and Pound aproach to a Pure BJJ aproach?

    • @VillageTechnologies
      @VillageTechnologies Год назад

      Two stripe white belt here so everything I say might be 100% wrong and feel free to ignore what I am saying (b/c it might be wrong). However, I think the opponent on the ground would panic at the unfamiliar position of control and focus on freeing their legs, even momentarily. This would create openings to isolate either arm for an Americana armlock or it would enable openings for a choke. Basically, you're throwing an "unknown" stimulus at them and this forces them to process the unknown (reference to the OODA Loop model). While they are processing the new stimulus which they don't recognize, you're attacking.

    Khabib is amazing. But there is something to be said here about Jiu-Jitsu which was not mentioned in this video. The origin of Jiu-Jitsu is about getting to the mount and rear mount (back take) these are considered to be the best positions for a reason, and the reason is because when in mount or rear mount (back) you hold and control your opponent with your legs, making your arms free to hit or submit. That's why side / north south is considered less effective than mount / rear mount, because with side or north south you need your hands to control and can't hit as good, while you can hit much more effectively from the mount or rear mount, not to mention control / submit. This is why top competitors such as Gordon Ryan and Roger Gracie always go for mount or rear mount if they can.

  • @danielniklas1766
    @danielniklas1766 2 года назад +1

    Khabib's grappling is great for MMA especially when you implement strikes everyone knows that getting submissions is much easier, however from a pure grappling perspective Khabib gets tapped by Gary Tonon in less then 10 min, and Gordon Ryan taps him in less then 5. Btw Gary is becoming a very good MMA fighter, Khabib is retired but even if he wasn't Gary is not ready for that kind of caliber of opponent in MMA, I think Gary can beat a top 50 guy but if Gary ever gets signed we will find out if he's a real fighter, it's easy being the hammer but when you're the nail you find out what you're made of and if you're a real fighter. An outstanding fight that needs to happen is Ryan Hall vs Gary Tonon if Gary gets signed, I know during COVID19 its been tough but I'd like to see Gary go 10-0 before getting a nice contract at FW for the UFC.

      you saw Hall vs Topuria? get an idea now how Tonon vs Khabib or even Ryan vs Makhachev or Chimaev is going to end? no matter how long Tonon or Gordon train MMA they will get crushed by the likes of them..

      Garry got starched inside a minute by a semi unknown. Sport JJ put him in a bad position and he got dusted, same as would happen with Gordon and all the other guard pullers and butt scooters.

    In reality khabib uses Rickson Gracie's style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Johny Hendricks has used the leg lock by legs in 2014 too. Just watch his fight against Robby Lawyer.

    Khabib has never taken on anyone with good ground skills. This is why he won his matches. He never took on guys like Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson because they would have been a lot of trouble for him. And he knew it.

    Nurmagomedov IS NOT THE BEST MMA fighter of all times even in his weight because he didn't defend his title many times. Just respect other fighters who defend titles many times and don't give up a career because of fear to be defeated...

      Light weight division is the most bad ass division or toughest in the UFC. The light heavyweight and the heavy weight are not tough duvision.
