    invest in a proper set of studio monitors and never look back .you will up your hearing game in no time . visuals are the worst thing you can do for your artistry . my 2c

    • @dilbydj
      @dilbydj  2 года назад +4

      The point of the video is to help people who are trying to get better and those who may not have an ideal set up. Personally I have learned loads of things using visual aids. Personally I'm pretty content with my artistry and don't feel like it has suffered as a result. And people seem to like my mixes on my music and my clients music in sales charts, on dancefloors, and on streaming platforms, so that's validation enough for me. I do agree that sounding good should be the final litmus test for anything, but saying "up your hearing game" isn't helpful if people don't know what they are listening for in the first place.
      Regarding the advice to buy good monitors. I would suggest spending money on acoustic treatment before buying expensive studio monitors. You could drop $10k on a high end PMC set up and throw it in an untreated room and have it sound terrible.
