Great tips. I also missed the sidechain feature in ableton till seeing this vid. Just downloaded SPAN, thanks!
Wow, I didn't know you could sidechain with span, that's really useful. And also the referencing at the beginning is also really helpful thankyou 🙂
Welcome mate ✌️
@@dilbydj I tried, it ables me to sidechain, but can't see the reference in the dropdown to see the second waveform. Not sure ill keep trying. :)
@@Ninjjadog it's a bit tricky. Make sure to follow the instructions exactly
@@dilbydj I've just noticed you explain on another tutorial. Thanks for replying 😸

Awesome tips, thank you! Been using the same track as a reference for awhile now, haha!
top tier video!
I think everybody has that lamp in the corner from ikea)
I know right. Now you know what to say when someone asks, "what's the most important piece of gear for producing house and techno?"
@@dilbydj the secret thing to level up your production))
Is the sample pack in the description the one I got when I bought your track?
No, it' one I released last year on House Of Loop / Loopmasters.
@@dilbydj so I won't make the mistake of buying what I already have, right? I want to buy other things on houseofloops
@@ELLIOT8209 Yeah, it's a different one bro :)
Hello. Reference tracks are in Wave format or 320 MP3 ??
Whatever you like. I would say 320 is fine
invest in a proper set of studio monitors and never look back .you will up your hearing game in no time . visuals are the worst thing you can do for your artistry . my 2c
The point of the video is to help people who are trying to get better and those who may not have an ideal set up. Personally I have learned loads of things using visual aids. Personally I'm pretty content with my artistry and don't feel like it has suffered as a result. And people seem to like my mixes on my music and my clients music in sales charts, on dancefloors, and on streaming platforms, so that's validation enough for me. I do agree that sounding good should be the final litmus test for anything, but saying "up your hearing game" isn't helpful if people don't know what they are listening for in the first place.
Regarding the advice to buy good monitors. I would suggest spending money on acoustic treatment before buying expensive studio monitors. You could drop $10k on a high end PMC set up and throw it in an untreated room and have it sound terrible.
@@dilbydj i really like your videos , don't get me wrong. i am not judging just trying to help too cause i ve struggled like everybody else and came to that conclusion . keep up the good work :)
