thanks! most importantly, find a a few reference tracks and run them through the voxengo span. Then compare your track. Find frequencies where your track might have too much or be lacking, and decide if that matters. Like, maybe your track is darker than a reference, but it's supposed to be darker...or, it's darker, but it's not supposed to be darker, then make adjustments. A smiley face is just a way to say that your track is probably lacking mid-range, which is a common issue, where you may have too much bass and too much high-end, but not enough warmth throughout the track.
