new yorker with yarn recs! Annie and Co is hands-down my favorite yarn store, they're in the Upper East Side, great range of yarn with several more affordable options. Knitty City in the Upper West Side is also good, the store little cramped but the staff is super nice. Both carry local NYC dyers, Knitty City has my favorite NYC dyer Hu Made. have lots of fun!

Argyle Yarn Shop and Knitty City are amazing dependent on where you are. I am also biased and will recommend my local yarn shop and former place of work, the Observatory (about a 30-minute train ride outside the city)
