But your "I like it and so what?" point of view is refreshing. Thanks for the lesson and that sweater is the most GORGEOUS constructed piece of knitting ever!

i helped a friend hand quilt one of her quilts and it was such a fun experience. I know for the backing she had thrifted a king size flat sheet and then dyed it to match the quit top and was able to get a queen size quilt backing out of it!
I want to like sewing but it’s a hardcore struggle for me. I have a bunch of fabric that I absolutely love and want to use for project bags and quilts and fun things but my sewing skills are so limited. I can pretty much do a simple straight line on my sewing machine and that’s it. I feel your pain in that process. Edit: And as far as your sweater goes, it’s not ugly! It’s freaking AWESOME and I love it. It looks so cozy. ❤
1) Cool tattoos!! 2) I kinda wanna do a wild Stripe Hype now, use variegated hand dyed held double for the stripes maybe! Def not about that clean girl aesthetic either 3) I feel you on the sewing. I HATE IT but I like having clothes that I make 😫😫 That Ganni style top is so cuuute tho
I’m with you on being a product motivated sewer 😅 Also! If you don’t have a backing material in mind already for your quilt, a cost-effective solution I’ve used is to buy a thrifted flat sheet and use that as the quilt backing, they’re usually sooo cheap, especially compared to the cost of the same amount of fabric new. Love your quilt top, the gingham is fantastic 🙏
yes! The batting seems to be the expensive part- my eyes are absolutely peeled for a king sheet at the thrift, I'm just picky and really dedicated to my budget which I've already gone over for April (good news is May is in a few days!!))

I am obsessed with the skein and drop spindle in particular!! seeing the tattoo next to the IRL spindle is extra cute hehehe Love love Noro but watch out for VM especially in those big balls of Noro! Not sure if the garden silk (or whatever that yarn is) has that problem as much but just something to keep in mind LOL. That yarn is super drapey though! i think kira made something with it recently too :D Dude washing fleece is so hard!! Between the lanolin, the brown gunk and other stuff in fleece i feel like i can never get it right (i say after only having scoured once) so i feel you thereeeee AHHHH YOUR SUNGAZERRRR it's so sunny and summery!! omg we gotta wear our sungazers together when we link up!

You know, it was really subtle so I hope this is not creepy, but your new tattoos look so nice! 😍 I loved this episode because you really BROUGHT the spring colours and vibes representation I so crave this time of year. On the burnout route, I dropped out of university by the end of 2020 because I was feeling like an empty miserable shell of a person. I feel like I still can’t articulate exactly how it got better, but time, intentionally getting out there and making new friends, getting a part time job that was pleasant, and a little validation from knitstagram helped me a lot on the path to getting back to myself. Sending you all the best mean time :) I’m still wishy washy about going to knit city, I’ve been blowing the budget out lately lol. Are you planning to go both days?
