I love the community aspect of crafting! I love being able to work on a quilt and point to a fabric and think this fabric was handed down to me, this fabric is from someone's pants I've hemmed, this fabric I bought on that lovely day I spent with another friend, etc etc
Omg I finished mine in *3 weeks* because I was sick in bed for one of them - laughing at the “couldn’t be me, I’ve got too much going on” because true I do not have much going on honestly

I’m not a fan of barber cords. I find my stitches don’t slide very easily onto them, especially with thinner yarns. I just use a cable connector to attach an extra chiaogoo cable to try things on and that slides super easy.

Hi Bee, I am a new subscriber. Found you trough your FO's video. And now you asked why (the Stephen West shawls) and I am working on my 12th Westknits Shawel. This time it is the Glittering Snowscape Hiberknitalong shawl. I DO NOT KNOW WHY!?! But it sort of feels like coming home. I skipped the MKAL so the itch needed scratching. But I only succumb to it because I have a lot of knitting time. Otherwise I would rather make other things than yet another SW shawl. Early on in my knitting journey I started with his shawls and they just make me happy. That sounds like a very good reason, right?
