recently found ur channel and ive been binging all ur vids hehe. all ur homespun is so inspiring! speakin of gettin food on ur knits, when i was knitting some fingerless gloves, i put my knitting in the same bag as some mexican leftovers and one glove and my yarn ball was soakin in oily fajita juices for hours before i noticed. i call them my fajita gloves now.
bee !! obsessed with seeing you fully in your spinning era :'-) excited to see how the fiber u picked up spins up and OMG angora!!!! i have never knit with it and would love to, i must know how u like it lol!
Love that angora yarn!! Also I totally feel you on a lot of lace being old lady-ish... I'm not into sooo many lace patterns I'm like yeah no not modern enough for me
bee! Love to see you friend :) and loved your chat about silence - when I had my really really hard job last year I started walking to work without music and it helped a lot
HI! sorry it's been a rough summer, pal! it's nice to see you back on the internets :) your pink outfit and lil sheep earrings are really brightening my day
adding to my comment as I finish watching the vid today. 1. that blue is STUNNING 2. no such thing as plagarism with adapting a pattern to suit your needs! you're not selling it. honestly, folks put whole additions to patterns in their Ravelry notes so I feel like you adapting that lace top to suit you is perfectly reasonable and honestly encouraged cause knitting is malleable and it's nice for folks to see you can make things work for yourself when/if you wanna!
Thank you for the book recommendations!! To make a long story short, I'm 1000% going to read Hijab Butch Blues now :) And you talking about constant stimulation made me realize that *I* do that without even realizing it. I always felt like I could be doing more with my time. If i'm knitting, I could be listening to a book. This was a callout for me as well!!
Three cheers to making it through three reshoots! Vlogging really do be a challenge sometimes lmao. I always enjoy knitting while listening to you talk :) Also, you've totally inspired me to try making lemonade with sparkling water, I can't believe I didn't think to do it myself! It's giving fun and refreshing
Can't speak for New York but in the Boston area, the culturally accepted response to "hi how are you" is "hey how's it going" 😅 It's about efficiency of time. I don't want to waste the time of the person I'm greeting, so let's just get to the part of the conversation that actually has a point. The salesperson/cashier doesn't want to be there, I don't want to be there longer than I need to be, so let's get on with our days, you know?
