I mentioned in the video that it was a charging column manufactured by Thermal Engineering. You can look them up online. You can also look up a company called Artic Chill. measured in ozs.

Just to Clarify. Venting refrigerant is illegal under EPA regulation and if so, you can be charged 44,000 (or more I don't know the exact amount).

I ran a sweep charge before I closed off the system thereby eliminating any air.

i have this exact model--and it stopped running. The display quickly flashes "0" then plugged in. Buttons are non-responsive, and the compressor isn't running. Is the repeated quick-flash of zero a trouble code?

It’s hard to say without being there but I would focus on the control board.

Wasn't there air in the lines when you evacuated it?

you always have to assume there is air in the lines whenever you open up a sealed system.

I just replaced my compressor in a Sub Zero 430 Wine refrigerator and it didn't appear to solve the problem it was having (not cooling at all). I went from EMI30HER to EMIS30HHR, would it matter if I swapped the process and suction ports? This has been a real head-scratcher for me, I had two technicians look at the fridge and both told me I needed a new compressor but after replacing it my low side is still at -10 in/Hg and my high side stays at 0 psi. The compressor is drawing ~4A on startup and 1.0A while running.

Sounds like you have a restriction or a bad switching valve, but you should also have pressure on the high-side. Open up the high-side and check for flow. If nothing comes out your line may be plugged with solder.

@@SubZeroSpecialists Good call. I found that one of my solder joints had caused the line to become sealed. I fixed the solder joint and now I have 110 psi on the high side. Still no cooling though. I'm going to redo the solder joints on the dryer and try to determine if the high/low compartment valves are functioning correctly. Thanks for the help!

My solder joints were terrible, after some practice I replaced the filter dryer and all is working now. I've charged with the unit spec of 5oz r134a but the compressor seems to be running pretty hot. Any idea what the usual superheat and subcooling should be on a Sub Zero wine fridge?
