This was sensational!!! Thank you so much for producing this, it was very helpful. But the question in my mind...what did YOU use to record this? 🙂While you showed some halfway decent video from the Vivitar at 30fps, your actual presentation was much cleaner. I can appreciate your advice to viewers to find a "name-brand" camcorder, but let me offer a warning. In some cases, the brand names have been sold to "cheapo" houses that produce inferior-quality units. I found this out the hard way with a Sony camcorder I bought last year at Best Buy for (as I recall) under $200. The video was shockingly muddy and motion shots were awful. That led me to start a search for a new unit. I also read that Minolta is "just a name" now, also, so I'm wary of anything by those folks. I used to have a Canon Vixia HD camcorder years ago but had to sell it because of hard times. I'm disappointed to see that Canon is largely out of the HD camcorder business; the unit I had before was decent. And as for Vivitar, it has always been a budget brand, going back to the 1970s, so anyone expecting blue-chip quality from them should save up a bit more and go for a better brand, or be prepared to live with the results. Again, thanks for a great presentation! I'm a subscriber now!
Thanks for doing this video. I have been searching online for a budget friendly camcorder that also takes pictures. I don’t think I need anything fancy or expensive but I’m not sure what to get.
Glad I could help! This is a good option, but I recommend doing some research on name brand camcorders as well. Sometimes you can find older Sony or Samsung camcorders on eBay for pretty cheap
Hi, excellent video. Could you please do a test of how it would work as a webcam using the HDMI output? I'm interested in using it for streaming with OBS. Thanks!
I have a question when I record a podcast a video podcast. Is it normal for the battery to last an hour long even if my SD card shows 220 minutes of recording?
I will be posting the comparison video of the 4K vs the 8K Wednesday at 11 am EST. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss it!
What you think of the ones on amazon?

Yeah, that sounds about right. I suggest charging your camera while recording
Nice.
sounds like a waste if you want to film action in 8k, frames sound too slow
so its better to stay with your 4k ...handycam
