I was thinking the same thing. Actually up till now, generic things have always served me well. Until this time. I now understand people's obsessions with brand names.
Not necessarily. Not even the brand names charge that much. They're like from 1K upwards: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Pro-Camcorders-Cameras/ci/1881/BI/5164/KBID/5893/SID/DFF/DFF/d50

No but I have a computer that shows the properties and resolution of the clips. It's like 7 thousand and something by whatever resolution. It's somewhere in this video. But of course it could be that they just blow up 4K to 8k. I have no idea but I do know this camera really only works well up to 4K and then from there upwards the frame rate suffers. I'll do another video soon with some test footage; I realised only afterwards I showed almost no footage shot with it in this video :)
@@SCOTTALDRIDGE-m6lThat's what boggles my mind. Who goes to all this trouble to bring such a device to market, without working out the kinks??? WHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, I suppose I'll make some plan to use this camera yet.
4K. The 8K has a reduced frame rate. Personally I'd advise against buying this camera if you can help it. Just get something namebrand from www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Pro-Camcorders-Cameras/ci/1881/BI/5164/KBID/5893/SID/DFF/DFF/d50 and you won't have to worry about things that you can take for granted on a proper camera.

@@stuffchat I said "camera" , not things. Laters.
But, if they added those little extras you want Marius, then they would slap the word PROFESSIONAL on it and charge 5k.

@@SCOTTALDRIDGE-m6lThey're 4K. Good enough. Wish I had one of those right now.
Are you going to do a greenscreen test with this camera Marius?
