@@OdedraPerformance Hi, my question is how did you clock the turbo?? I have a M57 top mount manifold and support bracket. I can't figure out how to clock the electric actuator turbo so the oil feed and drain are correct. Any help?? Cheers!
Thanks man! The clutch is very daily-able, in my opinion it is lighter than stock but that's because I'm not currently running the Sachs performance pressure plate. (It's reportedly OEM feel with one of those and OEM 6spd slave cylinder/clutch fork setup). SMF and twin disc is a little noisey even with increased idle speed. It sounds like a woodpecker nailing a tin can filled with nails.. but that is to be expected and a small compromise for the benefits. I daily mine, easily do 150-300 mile trips in one go without fatigue.
@@OdedraPerformance Thank you for your reply. You can also feel a lighter flywheel when accelerating or decelerating ? I will also just install a twin clutch discs with SMF kit into the BMW 330cd e46. And what is the feel about driving with the S360v turbo? Do you have a big lag? But it is nice big turbo.Anyway, I keep my fingers crossed and let him serve and make you happy :)
@@jozefparicka8606unfortunately there is more work to be done on edc16 to make use of lighter flywheel - there is some pedal "filter" that prevents engine from reving any faster with lighter SMF, presumably to retain comfort and driveability for typical use. My friend has solved this for edc15, but looking into it for 16. Regarding turbo, it drives very well for the size of it. The key lies in the vgt mapping and control. I am still tweaking settings to get it working as I like, it's a slow laborious process of logging and small changes. Currently can get peak torque at 2800rpm in 5th gear (internally calculated by ecu at approx 900nm). Peak boost 2.7bar by 2900rpm although this is with relaxed vgt settings (midrange 1:1 emp:boost), maybe closing a little bit sooner will generate peak boost sooner. This is the other side to making non OEM turbo fit; optimisation is a long term project!
Sounds like R2D2 trying to make romance explosions with a tin can filled with nails. That's all. But consequently can now handle brutal torque delivery over 1000nm.
It's a kit that uses a single mass flywheel and two OEM style clutch discs mounted to different centre sections to allow thickness of two discs with OEM style pressure plate, 240mm
I'm still learning the edc16 ECU on mine. Tweaking edc17 like in your n57 is even more complicated and involved, but not a big task for someone more experienced 👌
@@prostomaster6416 you mean like 100-200kph acceleration time? Not tested recently but car achieved 8.9s previously, full weight (around 1800kg). Now the car has about 250nm more torque, time should be low 8 or high 7s. Need to retest.
Cant wait for this to be done, I really want to hear it ripping so bad, been following since you were welding pie cuts. Well done dude.
That was a while back :D thanks dude! Appreciate it
Sounds sick man 👊
Cheers bro! 🤜🤛
I need you to map my 535d sounds crazy, congrats bud!
Cheers Ethan! The 35d turbos do sound nice with straight pipes
Esistono bronzine racing piu resistenti per questo motore m57?????...???????????
How did you manage to mount the turbo on the top ?
Some modification needed to the original exhaust manifold. Don't recommend it, make a proper manifold from scratch.

How does it sound so stable? My experience with m57 is a raw sounding engine
Slightly raised idle speed

Mate , do you have an idea of how to remove the electronic turbo actuator , or is it even possible .
Why do you want to do that?
@@OdedraPerformance So I can put any turbo that I want and not have to look for a VGT as there aren't so many aftermarket VGTs.

Hi can you explain how you made the double clutch

Loads of in-car videos on the channel :) (there's a one or two flybys too, will have to sift through to find it)
