I live in the mountains with no cell service on my street. I recently bought an iPhone 12. Still don’t get service on my street, but I do halfway down the hill, which is a huge improvement. Especially when the power and internet go out.
I also have an iPhone 7 and this last month starting getting No Service too. I'm wondering if I should just upgrade to a SE 2022 to resolve this issue, plus get a newer chip etc. I don't need more than that.

I love you guys. But the phone your using has service on it, so it's not an accurate way to show how to troubleshoot the problem. I'm having a No Service Probelm that goes as far as not allowing me to open the Celluar page. When I go to setting>cellular it goes to a white page. This means a software crash.

AT&T says problem is due to their 3G antennas being removed. I have only 6GB left of storage on device, so can't store many photos or more apps. Battery capacity is 98% but still drains fast. Ok so I have an iPhone 11 and my service hasn’t been paid for a long time. I bought me a service card a couple weeks ago from Walmart the family mobile one. I put the card info onto the site and it matched up to my iPhone but I’ve now found out that someone else has my number? Do I need to call to get a new phone number? Thanks for posting. I have an older iphone SE (2016), and have used it with verizon wireless for years, without issue. Recently, in some frequented areas my cell coverage went from a couple bars to 'no service'. Consistently. I did a network update through a verizon rep and that did not help. So, I decided to go into the local verizon store. They looked at my iphone and said the recent upgrade to 4G is the problem and my older iphone will only work with 3G. I'm skeptical that they just wanted to sell me a newer phone. Are they being honest in that the turnover to 4G is causing problems with my older iphone in areas that previously provided decent coverage?
Still currently experiencing this issue on my iPhone 13. Have done all of the recommendations on this videos besides the DFU. Sent it to various iStore's (South Africa variant) and the problem is still pretty much there. It has had two different carries' SIM cards in and recently an esim and still the issue still happens. Yet, the technicians have all come back to say that they were unable to recreate the fault and that is all they do. Any recommendations.

@@kayjay9383 ok, both iPads and phone are at 15.5. Not a strong start. I normally restart everything after an update after opening a few apps to loosen things up. Couldn’t get a video to play. Restarted and it played but will this continue? If everything still works after a week or two I’ll believe the problem might be cured.

I can’t believe you missed the simplest fix of all which is turn your phone off and then back on. I happen to be traveling abroad and my cell data drops out periodically for some unknown reason. turning the phone off and then back on forces it to “reboot” and “find” the cell service again. just turning the cell data switch off and on in the settings as you suggested did not seem to be enough for my phone for some reason.

It theoretically could depend on your prepaid plan - but it probably doesn’t make a difference. I have a Verizon prepaid plan and that’s part of the reason why I love it - they can’t hit me with a surprise bill. I leave data roaming turned on.

Are you only into IPhones? I have a 22 ultra I'm going through hidden apps with all of these crazy permission like Google Partner Setup? SKMS AGENT SERVICE? Why doesn't anyone tell you that when it says you haven't given any permission yet if you look at those 3 dots at the top right it has all permissions. It's not suppose to have any yet.. THEY CAN READ EVERYTHING, RECORD EVERYTHING, delete my Sims Card?..Work Profile is terrible too. Who knows until you look
If none works, then connect to finder or itunes with the new SIM inside. Click to restore device . Make sure this is done with a computer. When the restore is done , the phone will set up as new and it will activate the SIM over the computer connecting to the server . When you restore , make sure you have it backed up with icloud or itunes before.
My iPhone 7 is from air talk service from free government phone it was working fine and all of sudden it says no service and the data bars is showing searching and my data says error issue when I go to settings and I can’t click on and off on my data because it says data error issue and when I try to download update sos it downloads the update and when I press to install the update it won’t install because it says there’s no network connection and I’m on wifi but doesn’t want to update using wifi it says needs network connection only and I been leaving messages to the air talk wireless since I got the government iPhone 7 from them and no response I don’t know what to do
If the region you’re travelling to allows Google maps to download maps offline then you can do it beforehand and turn roaming off. Some countries (eg Japan) make this impossible. Best solution for travel is to buy a cheap, local prepaid sim.
What I did was - put another SIM card in my phone and turnt it off, turnt back on and switched the date/time from automatic….then put my original sim back in and it should work 😁

If the phone is locked any sim card won’t work.

They did say that.
You can also turn airplane mode on for a minute and off.
He did Recommend off and on. Right after the cellular switch.
That was their first tip as the simplest fix.

My XS Max can't hold service. Do you think it's just the age of the phone. Most of these ideas worked but for a short period of time.

When we travel we typically leave the phone in airplane mode and only connect to the local wifi at the hotel/resort if out of the country.
At AT&T I do all that before sending them to the apple store. The sim swap is last cuz most of the first steps does the trick

One technique that helped me was to restart my iPhone. A simple power off and power on helped me get my connectivity back.

It should be mentioned that one of the problems is that you have been a victim of SIM Swaping or SIM Porting. Call your provider immediately
