- Radio communications from the Las Vegas Police Dept. as the mass shooting unfolded Sunday night captures the frantic moments faced by law enforcement officers as they determined where the shooting was coming from and stormed the gunman's room.
When it says "breaching breaching breaching (gunshot?)" obviously whoever did the captions has no idea what the hell is going on. the "gunshot" was the sound of the breaching charge
Thank you. I was combing through the comments to see if anyone else has actually seen or heard a breaching charge before. Call me stingy but the caption "Gunshot" annoyed me.
That was defenitly a explosion lmao
Griffin Bailey ikr😂
Larry Johansen IV it’s most important to stay calm in a dangerous situation like this one
At least they admitted it with the "?"
Zebra 20 sounds like a badass.
Peter Piper it's the dark knight
No Go LOL😂
Peter Piper He is a badass.
Breach breach breach Booooom
Our swat team is badass, best in the country. Thank you guys for your very quick response that night.
Its amazing how calm they are at the end. Dealing with the situation without panic. Good job officers!
Its crazy that we live in an age where not even 24 hours after the incident we have access to so much information
I am a 16 year veteran Police Dispatcher. Outstanding job by the Dispatcher in this radio traffic. LVPD are heroes.
David Stynchcombe Outstanding job of the dispatcher, poor job on the part of many officers, remedial training is in dire need among the patrol officers.
Anyone that runs toward gunfire to save the lives of people they don't even know are heroes.
Rick Cordero A “16 year dispatcher” not a 16 year old dispatcher.
wrong. The cop kept asking for the ROOM number and she kept giving him TMI.
As a dispatcher, I'm going to mention you need at least a high school diploma to be eligible for the job.
guys wait what room is it in again?

Officers did great work
For the most part, yes it appears they did a great job here, unlike the Orlando shooting where they did nothing for three hours and then possibly shot several hostages.
Patrick Dukemajian police forces have their flaws just like any organization. It's good to recognize when they have it right, so the weaker ones can learn.
Officer hide behind of the police car, and keep yelling. Humm... guess too much Hollywood.
Dana LaMure fuck you, it took them 72 minutes to get to the room
Adam Danischewski you have to realize how far the shots were coming from, and everyone running away from the festival grounds, first thought is to check the grounds for an active shooter, not check a near by hotel. It takes a few minutes in the chaos to figure out what’s happening. Half the officers on scene at the festival ground didn’t even know the shots were coming from the hotel, People still thought it was a shooter in the concert. And then, trying to lock down and secure a hotel of that size, and go floor by floor room by room? Takes a while. There’s only so many cops available. A lot of them were busy stopping people from going near the hotel, a lot were busy tending wounded who got out. You can’t exactly shoot your side arm 200-300 yards at one single hotel window and hope for it to be effective and not kill any innocents in the process
THANK YOU to the police officers and others who responded to this, your courage and professionalism saved lives.
I'm not one to typically praise the police, but I think that they handled this situation very well
Agreed, I praised the cops in San Bernardino and Las Vegas. I criticized the cops in Orlando.
They just followed the script, it was all planned out. Lone gunman dead. Keep killing Americans until you get to take their 2nd amendment rights away.
Don Waters man fuck you.
"A timely response" The shooter was active for over an hour before he killed himself. There was nothing fast about it.
I am sure they handle many situation very well. We just don't get to lisent to many radio communications.
Las Vegas police did an outstanding job last night! My thoughts, and prayers are with the victims, and families.
They handled this very well
Yeah, taking over an hour to get in there, meanwhile the guy could have shot a few hundred more people if he wanted to, lol. Bravo!
Its not a "gunshot?" Its the exsplosives detonating blowing down the door.
They actually said that an officer accidentally fired his gun during the breach.
@@marcsorensen1184 That was during the second breach and it happened a few seconds afterwards.
@@megagames3605 Because you can hear them saying "breach breach breach" right before...
@@megagames3605 They did blow it up, what do you mean? They used an explosive breach charge...

Can we talk about Zebra 20 super calm and collected...to calm. wouldn't want to cross him in an alley. He's locked and ready " I need everybody in the hallway to be aware of it and get back"
DupreeDotCom yea its unusual for swat to not be kinda nervous, shaky and neurotic in this kind of situation. They nornally aren't trained for that. I call fake news
DupreeDotCom The people who are cold as ice are best suited for this kind of job.
Actually...this is exactly what swat is trained for. If they were nervous in this situation then they are either new or not trained properly.
They were probably near his door and didnt know if he was alive so were quiet.
ironman tooltime wtf?? Where did u get your info?? This is exactly what swat is trained for dumb ass
I just wanna know who zebra 20 is
Comboe is he thelegend27?
He is a single SWAT officer with LVMPD. His radio call sign is Z-20 (Zebra 20). He was with ONE other SWAT officer and a few regular patrol officers were the first in place up there and formed a "Strike Team", which is a team formed by officers to quickly attack/apprehend in these types of situations. The other SWAT guy with Z-20 arrived with his tactical bag which contained the explosive breaching devices(among other badass gear and tools).
Excellent example of why ALL police need to do active shooter training with their SWAT teams, because there will never be enough time to assemble the entire SWAT team in time to act. Violent, fast, and coordinated Strike Teams are what works to stop an active shooter(s).
+Jasper Cha Zebra 20 was not the one who killed the gunman, the gunman committed suicide.
Jasper Cha are u stupid the police didn’t kill him he shot himself inside if his room

These people run towards the danger like true heroes while your NFL players kneel to disrespect them. Respect to these brave men and women who ran towards incredible danger
Okay just quoting the kid on CNN STFU
YES!! Not to mention they are kneeling for the injustices against them and their peeps (while they live in multi million dollar homes and get to play with a football for a living)

law enforcement handled situation very well, couldnt of had been handled any better. true heroes
And we claim to be fighting terroism overseas
bigsmilie07 this wasnt terrorism
you kill 50+ people for no good reason. That's terrorism. Just because it isn't politically motivated (which is still unclear), it's still terrorism..... you fucking clown.
bigsmilie07 from a guy that can’t even spell terrorism. Terrorism has been going on for centuries, along with idiots, massacres, and homicide. There’s no way to stop murderers. You can stop a terrorist cell, but three more pop up. Fighting terrorism overseas, and fighting rich people who had a bad day and want to kill everyone are two different things. It’s impossible to know if someone is going to randomly shoot someone, whereas terrorist attacks can occasionally be thwarted. What’s your idea, take away guns? Ask the U.K. how that’s working for them. Amazingly they’re being murdered with blades and blunt weapons. I’d rather be in the US and take one in the head than be in the UK and bleed to death by a knife, or get hit in the head repeatedly with a hammer.

Do people truly believe a few more gun laws would have prevented this guy from doing this? I highly doubt it.
In The Beginning Yeah more gun laws for the citizens as criminals go to the black market. They can gun law us to death, it want stop evil people from doing evil things.
Itd have made it harder
My Angel Dva I highly doubt that. How hard is it to make a bomb, or rent a penske truck. You take one thing away evil will resort to another that's just the way it is. Take care of you and your family and keep yourself safe that's all
that still doesnt make the solution putting a gun in the hands of every man woman and child. When that shit happens people will become paranoid since everyone has a gun and everyone can start at mass shooting at any time, and theyll think they need to act first and the country will turn into a warzone. Of course this is an extreme scenario, but hopefully you get my point.
yeah no gun, we can use knife, car, airplane. We have a lot of options to kill people.
How did they know it was just one guy... Police at the breech... say it's one guy BEFORE they breech... Why would you assume it's just one guy??????
NEKO FOREVER Well the amount of time in between the clips probably gave the cops a huge amount of information since if it was more than one person shooting it wouldn't take that long to reload a clip and shoot between both of them.
He was using a full auto belt feed machine gun. Listen to the audio clips from the end of the concert. That is belt feed fire. Sounds like he had a jam or two, and it took a few moments to clear. Then after the fire belt was used, it took slightly longer for the next belt to be loaded... fire continues...
I'm not saying this didn't happen. I'm saying that I would not assume it was just one person. Seems foolish to do so. It may be highly probable that the alleged shooter was alone. It just doesn't seem smart to assume he was alone.
"One suspect down." It was never assumed it was just one person.
"One suspect down" is AFTER the breech, I'm talking about BEFORE the breech.
Tyler's Silver OMG! It’s not a clip, it’s a magazine!
This is journalism. Rare from this publication.
*It may be a little too early to make jokes but* 44-45 seconds wtf was that BatMan 😂😂
Its way way too early to make jokes...dont be a dick.
Why did the report of *shooter inside fairgrounds* at 0:28sec - get ignored, I`ve watch several videos of the Mandalay Bay hotel and see no muzzle flash? How did they know so precisely it was suite 135 on 32nd floor?
This video took the most important chunks of the whole radio conversation between officers and dispatch. There are full videos of the radio back and forth. It was a long video so they summed it up.
There had been reports coming in from Mandalay security and people above or below the shooter.
Dispatcher did a great job. They received all the information from every officers and they were able to coordinate everyone.
1:12 It says: We are clearing this room. We have one suspect down.
Wait, what room was it again?
32135
There are no amount of gun laws that could have prevented something like this. We have laws against murder but did that stop this person .? Nope
false logic.
@@cBodhi assigned authority is dead.
Yes, the left are not known for their brains though!
So why have any laws? 🤷♂️
what room is it?
Wow, this is the clearest scanner I’ve ever heard. Real convincing
I respect our police officers. They work very hard especially in the toughest and most dangerous events.
Yeah, but some police officers can be real jerks when you've done nothing wrong.
Tayler Marie at least someone with common sense :)
Alan Fox..most police officers are jerks and get away with all kinds of petty to serious crimes just because they are police. Some of the people praising the police are sheeple who are terrified by this horrific event and the police make them feel protected. Lets not forget all the f%$@ up things the police have been doing in the news as of late.
Charles De Rosas..that's some weak ass shit using tragedy to spit game!
Tayler Marie Yesss they do a wonderful with killing, and with help covering up murders that happen threwout the world.
R.I.p people who died may god be with them.
How are they getting these police recordings on the internet?
Why is the videos taken by the shooter not out yet
LoL..its been three days and the investigation has just started. It would be shocking it they had been released already.
This makes me want to be a cop
Vince trust me you don't want to be one
Man shit scary af now and days like people can buy some crazy weapons from the gun stores ......like when. You see a train go pass with those cargo containers on them you don't know what's in those that's why I stay in the house 😂
If you have a passion for saving people and helping them, work hard and apply.
Not now...only cuz you have the evil individuals who criminalize cops for good shoots...
when someone breaks into your house dont call the cops then see what happens to your idiotic ass
Its a good that this got posted on youtube. Police has had a horrible rep recently. This may help a little. But of course there still needs to be a serious effort at police departments to educate officers on the subtleties of racism and to train them in de-escalation techniques.
wtf does racism have to do with this shooting...
Beyond criticism except for that cop that insisted on confirming room. Room is insignificant, threat was taken out. Nice work.
When I heard BOOM & that "we have one suspect down" . I just said out loud "Thank You Jesus" ! ! !
You what’s suspicious thing out of everything in this attack. 2 people during the concert had been kicked out for yelling such words as “you all are going to die?” Hopefully the witnesses who have survived or the security guards who escorted them out, catch them. This wasn’t some lone wolf situation, I have a feeling of that
Agreed, and it's turning out the wirtnesses are claiming there was a shooter on the ground, and at least two from the hotel
I was in college once that had a false active shooter alarm. People were freaking out claiming multiple people had been shot, that they heard gunshots, and etc. None of that actually happened. So witness reports are worthless when it comes to this.
@ 0:25 nobody notice the police said an active shooter inside the fair grounds ( means theres someone shooting inside the fair grounds right?) so multiple shooters
optical strike all he knows is people were getting shot inside the fair, assumed the shooter was there too
I was surprised by how calm the 3rd Officer sounds.
What room? How far up? Damn they got there fast...
You can hear in the man's voice at 0:24 he was shocked at what he was seeing
Multiple 415 is dead bodies
Amazing job Las Vegas Police and SWAT. Tragic event.
They handled that so well
1:09 blew into mic they're in a studio trying there hardest
Jack Stapleton I agree. So fucking fake. If they breached this man's door and they would be scared or even a little bit of their adrenaline pumping. Calm. Fake af. Zebra 20 is a ghost
You guys are idiots. I've been shot at before and near an explosions on several occasions. The truth is, when you are being shot at or its a life and death situation adrenaline kicks in, you're right, but adrenaline works in different ways for people. Those who are automatically able to remain calm will often survive, as they can think their moves lightning fast like a reflex and there thinking will be more clear. However, those who panic right away, start breaking down, they will often be the ones who are among the dead or wounded, as they cannot think as clear and will just be like sitting ducks. IN other words, it is ESSENTIAL, that you remain calm in these types of situations if you want to survive. If you don't, there is a larger probability that you will most likely end up getting hurt, or even killed.
OF course, I can't blame them, for many it is not easy.
No, they were at school learning homophones.
jack what kind of logic is that?? are you suggesting that not everything used to pick up audio....is a microphone? lol fucking dumbass. ever heard someone breathe during a phone call??
Sounds fake. . .
Sound stupid....
Wtf Will you even shout when your in a danger Zone?!.
Say again??? Is that suite 32, 132 floor? At the Luxor?
Great job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This Gun law need hurry up. I don't want nomore people dien from a random ass shooter that only had 1 traffic ticket on his criminal record smh
dude sounds like he got his guns illegally what do we do about that? prohibition dont work if people want it bad enough they will get it one way or another prime example the global illegal arms and drug trade prohibition doesn't work and tradeing our freedoms for a little PRECIEVED safety is a slippery slope i believe it was franklin who said "those who give up essential liberty for temporary safety will receive neither"
Its already illegal to kill people genius.. Laws obviously aren't working out very well. You are an idiot of you think a criminal is going to obey the law. Lol
Fully automatic weapons are not illegal. I really wish people would know what they're talking about before they post something, thus misinforming others.
prophet muhammad was a child rapist dang you killed him
One of the more obvious False Flags (sigh)
Thanks for bringing the chat IQ down 50 points
Just one ounce of critical thinking is all you need. Keep searching you may find it one day.
goldenhawk952 those people would probably give a fuck about bastards who think that attack was fake (it’s clearly a false flag but people were STILL AFFECTED)
Hats off to all the officers in this clip (and all involved but not heard here).
Music to my ears
Fake
I know this is true. Cause I'm in Lax Vegas. I'm getting chills now......😖
The dispatcher was clear as a bell as to the description of floor and room number and and I can see how information gets misconstrued as to what's the true description and information.
Zebra 20 sounds like Dwight from the office lol
How is it possible that this audio of the
police is even released?
HALFWAY UP - NOT THE 32nd FLOOR WTH

lol a nazi cowboy who had a upper hand with a gun yeah...real courage
@1:10 "Breach, breach, breach" is called before SWAT fired that bomb to open the door. And that explosion was heard on the radio, not a gunshot. ;-)
I'm really scared here in Las Vegas after hearing and seeing what happened at the Strip.
Zebra 20 should be on the next "expendables" movie
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 32nd floor is far above half way up, it's nearly at the top. The officer clearly reports that he sees shots coming from halfway up.
How did she know the room number?
"We have shots coming from inside the fairgrounds,"
Huge respect for these men and women. They were ordinary officers, not SWAT.
please repeat room number and floor. didn't catch it the first 50 times.
The SWAT audio is intense.
A friend of mine has an aunt that got injured in this shooting
The shooting was 10 minutes long and it took them a few minutes to get there.. the police handled this so great..
The only way to find out what really happened is to release all the CCTV footage inside the hotel.
Can you confirm that room number?
And I wanna give a huge shout out to all the cops in that situation. They did a hell of a job in a impossible situation. Bad ass's!!
Good job, SWAT team.
What floor was that again?? I DIDN'T QUITE FUCKING GET THAT LMAO
Zebra 20 got a smooth ass radio voice lol
Zebra 20 is a hero!
So how come it was so fast between the breaching at 1:10 and the 5th officer confirming a kill? Even if they came in and saw a body there would be like 3 seconds between the breach shot and the visibility of a dead body inside the room. I don't know, kinda strange. But maybe my face is what is strange.
Why are you even questioning that...who cares.
Good work, these officers did a great thing there.
Dah Magpie What did the cops do? 58 people dead 500 wounded. When they get to the room, he's dead. He kills himself.
So the police should've used telepathy to find out the shooter's plan and teleport into the room? They're human. Takes balls to rush an armed and clearly dangerous killer with and automatic gun.
Dah Magpie He killed himself before they got to him. They broke down the door to a dead man's room.
Oh, I forgot the part where the police knew that before hand. Man, hindsight sure is handy, silly cops not knowing about something they didn't know about. You sir, are a genius; your impenetrable logic could save the police force billions!
I didn't see any shot come out of hotel!
How did they know for sure was one guy in room
Because the script said so.
Mike Vandue there was also helicopters by him room that for some reason it hasn’t been spoken about ...
They identified him before storming the room
Can you confirm that floor?
Ponder this. I've seen only one still photograph of the Paddocks' hotel room door and despite 200 rounds going through it and it being explosively breached it looks like nothing happened to it. It isn't warped and there's only a couple of bullet holes in it. No scorch or burn marks and it closes right back the way it should.
BREACH, BREACH, BREACH!
i thought the Dispatcher, did a very good job of handling the radio traffic,
How many times does she have to repeat the room number??geez....
I heard this live in a radio app
Good job police officers
That breach sound effect tho
I have a feeling these casinos are going to be treated like airports now
The operator sounds pissed she keeps having to repeat the room number.
So terrifying that this would happen. So horrible
so did i hear that they also said there was a shooter in the fairground? And one half way up in the hotel, and they had police at the shooters door at the same time they were reporting...? huh? Hows that happen and what happened to the shooter in the fairground?
uhh thats alot of bullets must had been hella clips i just wish there was a short vid on what went down
Active shooter but you cant hear any rounds going off in the background noise?
He had stacks of clips and five automatic weapons in his room (Best Gore has the videos and pictures of dude dead as well as the ammo in his room).
Sorry to be this guy but
*magazines
Some context: They say "one suspect" Because they thought there was a total of three. In reality, there was only one shooter that shot out of three windows.
They were oddly calm. If I was doing what they were doing, I'd be shouting my head off
officers need augmented reality glasses so they can see info displayed rather than bad quality audio.
0:23 We have multiple 415 A break
415A is Assault/Battery with firearm
The one cop said he saw gunfire "halfway up"?? The 32nd floor is at the top. Multiple shooters?
The audio is just snippets of the whole audio, right.
What's with the guy with Batman voice?
