    When it says "breaching breaching breaching (gunshot?)" obviously whoever did the captions has no idea what the hell is going on. the "gunshot" was the sound of the breaching charge

      Adam Danischewski you have to realize how far the shots were coming from, and everyone running away from the festival grounds, first thought is to check the grounds for an active shooter, not check a near by hotel. It takes a few minutes in the chaos to figure out what’s happening. Half the officers on scene at the festival ground didn’t even know the shots were coming from the hotel, People still thought it was a shooter in the concert. And then, trying to lock down and secure a hotel of that size, and go floor by floor room by room? Takes a while. There’s only so many cops available. A lot of them were busy stopping people from going near the hotel, a lot were busy tending wounded who got out. You can’t exactly shoot your side arm 200-300 yards at one single hotel window and hope for it to be effective and not kill any innocents in the process

    • @rico76
      @rico76 6 лет назад +17

      He is a single SWAT officer with LVMPD. His radio call sign is Z-20 (Zebra 20). He was with ONE other SWAT officer and a few regular patrol officers were the first in place up there and formed a "Strike Team", which is a team formed by officers to quickly attack/apprehend in these types of situations. The other SWAT guy with Z-20 arrived with his tactical bag which contained the explosive breaching devices(among other badass gear and tools).
      Excellent example of why ALL police need to do active shooter training with their SWAT teams, because there will never be enough time to assemble the entire SWAT team in time to act. Violent, fast, and coordinated Strike Teams are what works to stop an active shooter(s).

      bigsmilie07 from a guy that can’t even spell terrorism. Terrorism has been going on for centuries, along with idiots, massacres, and homicide. There’s no way to stop murderers. You can stop a terrorist cell, but three more pop up. Fighting terrorism overseas, and fighting rich people who had a bad day and want to kill everyone are two different things. It’s impossible to know if someone is going to randomly shoot someone, whereas terrorist attacks can occasionally be thwarted. What’s your idea, take away guns? Ask the U.K. how that’s working for them. Amazingly they’re being murdered with blades and blunt weapons. I’d rather be in the US and take one in the head than be in the UK and bleed to death by a knife, or get hit in the head repeatedly with a hammer.

      He was using a full auto belt feed machine gun. Listen to the audio clips from the end of the concert. That is belt feed fire. Sounds like he had a jam or two, and it took a few moments to clear. Then after the fire belt was used, it took slightly longer for the next belt to be loaded... fire continues...
      I'm not saying this didn't happen. I'm saying that I would not assume it was just one person. Seems foolish to do so. It may be highly probable that the alleged shooter was alone. It just doesn't seem smart to assume he was alone.

      You guys are idiots. I've been shot at before and near an explosions on several occasions. The truth is, when you are being shot at or its a life and death situation adrenaline kicks in, you're right, but adrenaline works in different ways for people. Those who are automatically able to remain calm will often survive, as they can think their moves lightning fast like a reflex and there thinking will be more clear. However, those who panic right away, start breaking down, they will often be the ones who are among the dead or wounded, as they cannot think as clear and will just be like sitting ducks. IN other words, it is ESSENTIAL, that you remain calm in these types of situations if you want to survive. If you don't, there is a larger probability that you will most likely end up getting hurt, or even killed.

    So how come it was so fast between the breaching at 1:10 and the 5th officer confirming a kill? Even if they came in and saw a body there would be like 3 seconds between the breach shot and the visibility of a dead body inside the room. I don't know, kinda strange. But maybe my face is what is strange.

    Ponder this. I've seen only one still photograph of the Paddocks' hotel room door and despite 200 rounds going through it and it being explosively breached it looks like nothing happened to it. It isn't warped and there's only a couple of bullet holes in it. No scorch or burn marks and it closes right back the way it should.
