Your swing is getting better, but your body is out of alignment at release, your feet are facing right of your target. Try to square up a little more with your feet and shoulders at release, and your swing will likely align as well.
. @TXP9 Agree - it is so much harder to get a high back swing when shoulders are more square to the target. Might actually be physically impossible to do so with completely square posture. Body has to rotate to the right to allow the humerus to elevate that high (given a straight back arc and not taking it outside). Love the vids, 220!

Virtually every player on the PBA tour does that these days, whether they are a one or two handed bowler. They also close their shoulders at the release point to generate maximum leverage, and to prevent developing a “chicken wing” release.
@@TXP9I decided to keep my shoulders square for right now so that my consistency is better. Once I feel very confident I’m planning on starting to open up my shoulders bit by bit.
I battled a high backswing for years when I was 1 handed. 220 is right it feels like you aren’t even taking the ball back but in reality it’s over your head. My dad has the same problem even being in his mid 50s. Lowering it does make speed more consistent and swing more controllable but like Forrest said habits are hard to break and you can’t fix it overnight. Keep practicing 220 and good luck sir.
I’m sure your sick of suggestions, but I have an idea to help your mentally. Try tying an athletic stretch band (very weak obviously or something similar) just below your elbow (between the bicep and elbow) and tie the other end to your right belt and give if enough slack so it starts getting tight right at your ideal swing height. Feeling the pull should help your brain recognize your body position to achieve that spot. You’ve been bowling for so long I’m sure that swing is chiseled in stone in your brain and it’s just as much as a natural reflex as you breathing. Clearly you’re a beast and way better bowler than I’ll ever be! Love your stuff, by far best bowling channel on RUclips, and keep on being you!
Oof....that 10-Pin counter....It reminded me of that night I went 0-13 in one night shooting it. I also had another league where a large majority of the 1st frame for me was a 10 pin every game almost. It became a running joke on the team lol

I’m no expert but from what I can tell it seems to me like the reason this is happening is that your shoulders are WAAAY too open. If you look at your left arm it’s going across your body. Try keeping that arm more in front of you instead. There’s a great video on brad and kyles channel that explains this.
Personally Mike.... I don't think u should DRASTICALLY change your shot. I feel like u should just MASTER it. It's so maaannyyy different forms out here and people shoot crazy score with it.
