Ben Lapps has a great skill. It isn't just his speed and rhythm, it's his ear for good. He's somebody I'd want to see go big. This is one of my favorite songs ever.
He's really good with those fingers! just amazing!
This guy is awesome, why is this video not in the millions.? good luck on his career, :)
Underrated. Suspenseful. Love the camera work.
phenomenal... just phenomenal... wow.wow.wow... I am so glad I found Ben Lapps tonight. I grew up with this kind of playing and miss it greatly... but the guitarists around at the time would have been wowed as well... Thank you.
More of Ben! He´s awesome
What an absolutely incredible guitarist.
Ben Lapps rocks!
OMG what a great vibe song!
Ur amazing, never stop, ur a natural
absolutely sick sound out of that lowden. keep progressing Ben!
Amazing!
amazing
Love it!
Amazing .
Now this is a really cool song!
he inspires me to learn the guitar. you sound great
this deserves more views
HOLY SHIT!! Awesome!
amazing! yeah
wow dude you should be famous. i love your style man
Yes!!!!!
Wow!!!
good!!!!!!!
I watch this everyday :D!
i like that's song, come in belgium! please :)
makes me want to try harder!!!!!
The song is "Spanish Gentleman" by Andrew White, and while the tonality between the two songs is similar, the structure and rhythm are definitely different. You might want to compare them side-by-side, and then compare them to probably a thousand other songs that sound similar.
everything isnt a competition ... just enjoy the music.
A little Chet Atkins style -- gotta love it. Oh, I forgot, Scotty Moore too.
He is totally authentic, there is no comparasion with Sungha Jung.. both are naturally tallented to playing guitar
anyone know of a tab that comes close to Ben's playing?
Also, anyone know where the name Jasper's Street came from?
gorgeous arrangement any tabs
Does anyone know if there's any sheet music or even a tab for this?
I know its common, but how is dadgad tuning even used in practical song. its such an off-tuning that unless you have an improvised freestyle like this, its not the appropriate tuning. hats off to this man, wow.
Did you write this? Love it.
This needs to be a detective movie or a show sound track. Sure sounded like it 's meant for that 😁
Im interested in what type of mic he uses to record this?
which brand this guitar is ?
Is there sheet music to this anywhere? I know how to play it, but i'd like to perform it and i need the sheet music for it to be valid
This guy is so good he makes me want to quit playing guitar
I think what you meant to say is sungha jung should totally do a duet with him
I must say this might be one of the easiest songs by Ben Lapps to learn.
What tuning is this? open C? and capo on 2nd fret.
Anyone got tabs?
Michael Lieberman This is definitely not the easiest of his, just the most "music" like and familiar to us, less show-offy and flamboyant like say phunkdified. The timing of the muted thumb alternate picking and everything else is harder than it looks actually.
Michael Lieberman Lol try telling Tommy Emmanuel or Chet Atkins that this shit is easy hahah!
@@MR-bp8od It is definitely easy. But a beginner who has no clue of travis picking will take more time. Took me a few SECONDS to figure out by ear after tuning, when you practice there is barely need to 'think' about the minor stuff and it requires less effort to do.
I think the tuning is DADGAD
Anyone know what tuning?
I'm pretty sure the tuning is
B
A
D
A
S
S
Its dadgad tuning i'm pretty sure.
I know how to play . Tunning is DAD GAD guarantee
Tabs ?
he should totally do a duet with sungha jung!!
A little Chet Atkins style -- gotta love it.
Tabs please... just jokin... OK. I wanna see how Ben Lapps ties his shoes, or how he brushes his teeth. That would be so kick ass !!!
Plz,TABS
...why isn't Ben on the 'Cover Of Rolling Stone'???
is that the same as phunkdified? the perc u lator? reverie? giraffe? no.
a calculated use of the d chord
they are both equally good. but their style is totally different
Dude seriously looks like Shia LaBeouf!
good ol' DADGAD.
maneli jamal
He should play with Tommy Emmanuel too!
This guy could never be a millionare, because he has to replace his broken strings XD
Just like I'm hearing Tommy Emmanuel!
he should duel sungha jung
u dont need me to say it... u know u have 1 in a million tallent... ive noticed u use the same style guitar in the majority of ur videos... what brand/model is it? and y is that the one you use? im guessing the action is loose enough to get the quick taps in but still stiff enough to produce the sound? lol get back to me
Not sungha jung, he should jam with Tommy Emmanuel!
or tommy emmanuel :)
Because people dont know what real music is.
I think he is even better than sunga jung and igor presnyakov!
my ears are being raped...
He takes all of his stuff from Justin King.
+Ziggy Zangl he's on that video 20 -,-
I never seen Justin King playing Travis picking
