@@1k-pax991 He's part of a popular band called "PUBLIC," and there is a really good chance that you have already heard his song "Make You Mine" through TikTok, since you will probably see TikTok everywhere you turn nowadays.
@@colinchan2013 very thanks for this✌🏻

@@bluxpretion 2022? xD
after that song he walked across the water into the sunset and was never heard from again
like in the video of him playing basketball :-)
coffee, eggs, bacon, toast......staring out at the first snowfall of the year in my yard listening to Ben Lapps. twas a good start to my day
He values every nitch, fret, string, and sound of his guitar. It's an addiction and he's addicted to playing with the guitar. When you and i play guitar, the strings look small and the chords are complicated. When ben lapps plays guitar, the strings on his guitar are bigger than the world he's living in. And that's why i believe he plays it so much. It's just a fiddle, that soon grew into the motions that matured over time until his hands and wrists were perfected by music.
That is a really thoughtful comment my friend, I am just a random person who really appreciates your comment! Even after so many years, Hope you're doing well in life wherever you are ^^
WOW i just brought a guitar on ebay you make me want to play even more good job.
It's not the guitar that gives this beautiful sound, are the fingers of Ben that are magic!
guitar has a large contribution to the sound
@@WatashiNoGitah Yeah, just an ordinary Lowden

Best wishes for your future Ben Lapps.
Sheesh, been a fan of Mr. Lapps for like, a decade, and have never heard this bop. Better late than never, i guess.
I am humbled to be able to share your journey to that magical place with no name....thank your Sir.... Karl 2021 (covid-19 2nd year of lockdown).
I started on Japer's Street, then listened to Giraffe and before I finished listening to this one I opened up my itunes and bought The New Color. This music is music that inspires.
that was one of the most beautiful things i have ever heard in my life, it made me well up just a tiny bit. The amount of emotion you portrayed through this song is just amazing and the fact you did it with one instrument is even more amazing. this is now dam well one of my favorite songs if not my most favorited. I am very excited to listen to whatever your future holds.

Just found you out today young man. Thanks for loving music, and sharing your gift and talent :-)
You can tell the Recording industry is in trouble. 20 years ago this kid would have been signed and on tour selling albums like MAD! WAKE up and here the new color folks!

Man, that feels really good Ben. Thanks dude.
beautiful
Let's just get right to it. Ben Lapps is a great guitar player. The one thing that jumps out at me is hooking up Ben with Leo Kottke, with those two under the same roof Wow!!!
As a passionate drummer, this makes me want to spend my free time learning guitar
Really well done man. You definitely have a new fan.
Each of us has a talent in something but not everyone can open this talent and show it to others
Im probably 1000 viets of this video… Ben YOU’RE awesome
Nem se fala no violão perfect.
Man toca Demais.
Um dos melhores que já vi.
Awesome song, great camera work too!
As a generally new guitarist (7 months) Finding your music a few months ago has given me the push I needed to aspire to become a great fingerstyle player, I'm so far from it but maybe one day. Definitely keep playing; I hope you get the big time cause music keeps getting crappier but yours shines though.
P.S- Please make some instructional videos :D
Superb, music of the spheres.... and I'll bet you can feel that all through your rib cage as you play. Well done Ben!
Ben did!!!
By Gawd You are talented son !!!
3:00 TURN UP

I am looking for you on spotify!
Brilliant, the sound he is able to record in this setting is incredible. What model Lowden does he play? incredible talent
your musics boss as hell man it gets me through studying all day.....keep at it brotha or I'm gonna fail out of med school
Thanks !
Malcolm Gladwell wrote that it takes 10,000 hrs to become an expert at a given task/skill/pursuit. From the book 'Outliers'; definitely worth a read.
this is just beautiful!
Yep! Pre-amp in his back right pocket (or in this video, just sitting behind him) and a Zoom H4n in his back left pocket. And then some magic in the EQ-ing...
Spettacolare!!!
great style.
I love the sound you have created and am interested in the guitar and electronics. I know it's not just about the equipment ... just wondering how it all comes together to create such a rich, deep sound.
Fukin love this bad man
Bello!!!
In the other video, it says it's plugged into a preamp in his back pocket and that goes through a HD recorder in the right. That's how they get the great sound mix!
fantatic
Many good thoughts going to you.
GODLIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could play a session like this. You guys get such an amazing sound but I don't live in Cincinatti! DAMNIT
bravo
i heard you do a very over the top 'slap a lot' m. hedges thing ,while technically very imoressive ,left me cold. this work is open, breaths and leaves room for the listener to well... breath! its very musical with great touch and nuance. thanks!
This is just what guitar means to me from now on
Lovely playing! Can't stop listening ;) how's the guitar tuned?
AWESOME! I saw his guitar was plugged into something? what was it plugged into? his guitar had an amazing tone and reverb. Thanks
It's a Lowden,...killer guitars hand made by George Lowden in Ireland,....they're sooooo gooood!
Really awesome, would actually have liked to hear the water in the background a bit more, very relaxing.
I have. He's a really awesome guy :)
YOU dude R fkn AWsoMe !!!
I want to bring back Ben's music. I better study his lovely songs. I've only uploaded one song of his. A way lot to go. I'm gonna miss him 😢😢
❤️
Ben, wow! Your talent is impressive. Is this your own composition? I want more
How does he get that sound :O love it.. I have Boss ME-70 and I can't find the right sound :(
WOW!!! Which guitare are you using? It sounds so freaking damn good :) Keep on playing man - it's obvious that this is your passion :)

It's quite unbelievable that he learned to play guitar from watching RUclips videos
Why?
i'm doing it for over a year and its damn helpful if you're dedicated to it
I have learned so much through RUclips videos
Angela Mohr Me to
Ben....BEN. YOU FORGOT THE PART WHERE YOU STRUM HELLA HARD ON THE REALLY HIGH FRETS, STRUMMING YOUR HEART OUT. The climax of the song. The best part. If someone doesn't like this song, That part is what gets the crowd going. You had it in your video when you were way younger at this festival thing where you had that song like, not as developed as you do now. You know...the one where you played phunkdified that was filmed by the audience? Reverie in THAT one. THAT ONE.
Incredible. You have invested many hours and it will pay off.
Anyone know where someone can learn this song? I've been watching this for hours and I can't make out what is being done at 3:00. The finger positions are obvious for most of it, but what is the actual fingerpicking pattern thats being used? lol this is becoming frustrating I can't seem to get it right.
Michael Lieberman do you Know the tuning?
Valdemar Rokne i believe it's DADGAD
Its similar to the picking style of Dust In the Wind
Where did he go? :'( We miss you...
+That Guy You Know Hes got his money. Now he fucked off with it XD
He's a drummer for the band Public right now. That's how I found this amazing video and hopefully he's still working on individual stuff because this is beautiful :)
yeah
