Why are so many people complaining on these videos that he's immodest and egotistical. All I see is a guy who has put a lot of time and effort into something very difficult and is proud of it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of an achievement and wanting to show people what you can do.
Thanks for the video! As with everything Ben has done, I'm impressed and I really like it. I'm also glad to see he is still having fun! As long as he keeps having fun with his music, we will too! @_@
Wow lol he's so in his mind, in his own world...really im inspired, truly... aha id love to jam with this guy, You definitely have a gift and an old soul, and a very wise soul at that. Wish I could meet him.
Ben, lots of congrats from Munich Germany. Boy, I play guitar for 40 years......so its OK to get a tear in my eye when I listen to your playing. I just LOVE this! If I where there, you would get a HUG. Go on playing guitar!
Careful with the thumb! There is a very sensitive nerve just on the outside edge in the middle of the finger and a lot of drummers who (accidentally) hit it often experience pain..
No problem, if you wish to get one, they retail for about $2800 new on major guitar websites. If you want this model, it's the Cedar top, not Engleman Spruce, so keep that in mind because of the tonal characteristics (I personally want the Cedar because it sounds perfect to my ears)
Those are called guitar harmonics, there are certain places on the guitar neck where if you press very lightly you get a cool ringing tone to simplify it.
It's actually a 714ce. You can tell because it uses a Western Cedar top and Eastern Indian Rosewood back and sides. Spruce is much brighter grained and ovangkol is way too light colored, also if it was a 414ce, then it would use white binding and purfling for the top and sides and this is not present. My verdict is that it's definitely NOT a 414ce by any chance, and I would likely say its a 7 series, 714ce most likely.
I live about 20 minutes away from Taylor guitars and frequently go to check out new stuff. So that's how I know the differences from a GA to DA, etc. Also, I like to read about acoustics and the tonal differences, so that's where my preference for a cedar top and east indian rosewood acoustic comes in. I also am a huge fan of Taylor, which I guess is an assumption that I know most of their acoustic line. I do not own one, but I very soon will. My favorite acoustic guitar by far.
I have seen Tommy live in the UK and god is an Aussie. I agree music can be made by any sound i play guitar, i also sample and dj it's all expression why put limits on it.
Just because you don't have the mental capacity to appreciate good music does not mean you need to offend a group of people who have no physical or mental difference from yourself.
You must have missed my point. That I emphasized how the eggs turned out is ironic. I intentionally neglected how incredible his guitar playing is to exacerbate how exceptional it is. The mere fact that he was even able to do this at any level of competence while masterfully pulling off virtuoso guitar playing is incredible. I love this video. Sarcastic backhanded shit talking used to be considered playful and complimentary. I guess kids who experience no inflection don't get it.
Don't take this the wrong way.. He does so much more than slaps his guitar.. If you are a guitarist you should know how hard this is to do.. I've been playing for many many years and I can assure you that this is hard as fuck! haha
Incidentally, my girlfriend filmed this

I have seen Tommy live in the UK and god is an Aussie. I agree music can be made by any sound i play guitar, i also sample and dj it's all expression why put limits on it.
Absolutely. He's making the sound a little more tangible with the drumming effect.
In laymans terms, fucking awesome.
Way to start the day!

I learned how to make an omelet

I wish I could make eggs like that did you shred the cheese before and the onions to make the timing right for the taste
Man you are brilliant
Credits for the back-up percussion go to my gas stove's pilot light.
