    How strong are these and can they be moulded into the body to fit M3 bumper?

      They are fairly strong but pretty flexible. I would prefer to mold something that was made out of fiberglass or metal.

    Seems like you would want some sort of welt in between the flare and the body, to help keep water out as well as giving it a finished look.

      The quarter is welded and painted so no water can not get in. If you added things in there you essentially defeated the purpose of the flare as it extends where the original is to allow for more tire room.
