LOL the dialogue in this was wild! AI could never handle a slow burn. It would simply glitch out and implode.

I know the AI stuff stands to be a threat to writers across the board, but experiments like this prove that AI just has not reached the level to add humanity and life to the characters and story

I share far too much about my stories too 😂 it seems to bother *other people* more than me. But I don’t know how to, nor do I want to do it any other way.
I love the idea of using AI like this. I think that it’s major fault (but also a benefit) is that it’s very generic. Like the first scene you did, it’s like the very obvious version of what things are. It has no nuance to events or conversation. I think that’s a benefit too though because you can take what you have here and layer in the nuance and actually make it good by putting your own style into it.
Same!! I also love being able to give more specific examples when sharing writing struggles since I’m willing to divulge small details.
Agree- the first scene is the perfect example of the fact that it doesn’t know what nuance or subtly is lmao. I could see it being useful if somebody just had no idea where a scene could go and needed thought starters, but there’s nothing quite like the writers touch ✨✨

Fun video! This is the first video by you I've seen so I'm not familiar with your book, but I'm also a writer. This honestly makes me feel better about AI existing LMAO because these results are terrible. Your face when you read the really incorrect parts is hilarious.
They all seem so...vague? They lack a sense of plot driving things, themes, characterization etc. Like you said, there are no layers to anything being written here so (from these examples) every character appears very flat, with little unique personality. It just seems to be producing boring writing. It's like the AI is simply observing parts of the work and creating generic-sounding scenes (like that out of character love confession) without any sense of how those scenes fit into the story's structure. The AI also seems to enjoy "determination" which I think it mentioned like...5 times??? lol
Now I'm curious to see what trainwreck it would do if I tried to have it do this on my story haha
Vague is such a great word for it!! Yeah it did not feel like it had a sense for the overall plot arc at all, there were many times (which I cut out) where it attempted to completely end the book within the chapter by just summarizing the rest of the plot lmao it was nuts. But I agree, it’s a much blander interpretation with no nuance or flavor that gets produced by AI, and it had no sense of character personality whatsoever. I noticed it loved the word determination too hahaha.
