Looking foward to your guys review and picking this album up. I am seeing Crowbar, Sacred Reich, and Sepultura next Saturday. I bought the first couple Crowbar albums on cassette and cd in the early 90s but did not keep up with all of there releases, even after seeing them live several times over the years. I have been revisiting there whole catalog and really getting back into Crowbar. \m/
Necrotic Nick- That's a killer line but I'm not sure if I'll make it to that one. I got to see them last year with Municipal Waste and Skeletal Remains so I'm good for a bit. I pretty much love this band's entire discography and since we're ranking them at some point I'm going to be diving back into their massive riff vault. It's always a fun revisit.
@@thrallsofmetal I have not seen Skeletal Remains live yet but I just saw Municipal Waste on the Decibel tour 2 weeks ago. They put on a very entertaining show as usual. I have jammed the new Crowbar several times now and it is killer riff after killer riff. Very memorable hooks.
I missed this video somehow when you guys posted it. I am listening to this album all day today. We have these guys coming on the show soon. Much love...another amazing video from the Thralls gang!!!
Saw these guys last night in Iowa. Kirk was just walking around the whole time talking to anyone who wanted to. I got a signed copy of this album. I love Sepultura and Sacred Reich but I was there for Crowbar and was not disappointed at all.
Necrotic Nick- I'm unfortunately missing that tour but I did get to see them recently with Municipal Waste and Skeletal Remains and they killed it as usual. We've got meet Kirk before and he was such a solid dude. Super friendly and really seemed to enjoy just chatting with fans. His wife was really cool as well too.
This album is incredibly awesome. Such a solid release and it’s awesome to see a band as old as these guys still putting out quality music. I would absolutely love it if you guys could do a ranking of these dudes
Necrotic Nick- Still getting frequent spins here, bro. I can pretty much always count on Crowbar to deliver the goods. We are actually going to rank them after we do Carcass, Exodus, Mastodon, Pantera and Crowbar so stay tuned, bro!
I’m glad you guys reviewed this! Crowbar is a top 10 band for me! They do not have a single bad or mediocre album. Been going through the discography again and Equilibrium might be my favorite album overall by them!
Necrotic Nick- They've been a favorite of mine for years as well. They always deliver which will make this album ranking really difficult when we get to it.
No disc release for another fortnight in UK so downloaded it whilst I wait. Not disappointed at all this is a bruisingly magnificent slab of metal from Crowbar and despite it being only March, this has top ten AOTY written all over it!!
Necrotic Nick- Man, this year is already off to a great start when it comes down to releases. This album is one of Crowbar's best in years in my opinion. Pretty much them firing on all cylinders here.
So was the Mighty CROWBAR that won the coveted spot. Sweet. I am really digging this one. Can’t really remember the last time I’ve enjoyed a Crowbar this much. When did “Time Heals Nothing” come out? Haha Might have to have a COORS LIGHT, brunch with my review 🍺
Necrotic Nick- There was no way were were going to miss this one. We have some other stuff we reviewed but Crowbar was going to be our lead off hitting this weekend and it cranked one out of the park. I think this is better than the last few possibly. It really brings me back to stuff like Sonic Excess and Broken Glass. Time Heals Nothing was '95 and I snagged that one along with the self titled for my first Crowbar purchases.
I'm late to Crowbar and I'm gonna remedy that starting with this album. I don't know why I never really got into this band, especially since a lot of the riffs remind me of early Trouble. ..Getting this album today!
Necrotic Nick- Dude, this honestly isn't a bad place to start at all. It pretty much embodies everything they do and this album is solid. There's definitely a ton of nods to classic doom metal in the riffs but it's that added punch o Kirk's guitar tone that gives them even more weight. The discography is definitely one worth just diving headfirst into, bro.
I’m still waiting on my copy of the disc and apparently the vinyl and shirt combo I bought is delayed. I really like the Brunson era since Sever the Wicked Hand. I’m going to see them with Sepultura later this month and again in June with gwar.
Necrotic Nick- My CD was delivered today but I just got the CD with no additional stuff. I still gravitate to the earlier albums but I honestly dig all their stuff. I did get to see them with Municipal Waste and Skeletal Remains late last year so I can wait for another tour to come around.
Can't wait for my copy to arrive, I've loved Crowbar for years, ever since I picked up Time Heals Nothing in 95 I think it was...kirk is such a great Riff writer, he should be much better known than he is.. Great review again anyway guys, keep up the stellar work!
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I think Time Heals Nothing and the self titled were the first ones I ever got so those will always be special. Kirk is a flat out riff lord and that is something that always brings me back to Crowbar. This album delivers on everything I love about Crowbar once again.
Necrotic Nick- It's hard to say where this one will lad. They have so many killer albums but I definitely think this one might be up there in their discography.
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I actually have some of their stuff and I really thought they were a solid, old school death metal band. I was thinking about doing a retro review for them sometime in the future actually.
This album is amazing, yesterday I was in my feels and it hit the spot, today I wanted to break shit and this album hit the spot amazing! Also Nick do you think wearing a Bathory shirt would be a nice fit for a date?
Necrotic Nick- I think it's stronger than the last few and dig though previous ones too. I can always count on Crowbar for killer riffs and Kirks amazing tone. Personally, I think Bathory fits in every situation so wear that shit proudly, bro!
@@thrallsofmetal I need to put a good 100 bucks into Crowbar merch I love every album I hear and I don't have a shirt from them and I'm wearing this Bathory shirt loud and proud!
honestly im not a huge crowbar fan. The slowness of the riffs are kinda weird to me. But i am starting to get the appeal behind it. It is heavy as fuck, but ive been learning to sit with the music and crowbar really seems to take up the whole room when its on. Im getting in the swing of it
I’ve only listened to metal for about 4 years and I’ve never listen to Crowbar (I know shame on me) but after hearing your guys review on this album has me overly intrigued, I’m gonna have to jam some Crowbar today, do you guys have any suggestions on where to start?
Necrotic Nick- This is one of those bands that they have such a consistent sound that you could jump on at really any point in their career. I'm with Miller though that Sonic Excess in its Purest Form is a great one to start with. Odd Fellows Rest is right up there to.
Necrotic Nick- Killer riffs are pretty much a guarantee with Crowbar which always keeps me coming back. I think this one might be even better than the last couple.
Necrotic Nick- This band is pretty much the altar that a lot of riff loving metalheads worship at. If you loves giant riffs this band's discography is definitely worth diving into.
Another super solid release from these guys. Not even a mediocre album in their discography.
Would love to see a ranking someday!
You will. Its my personal pick! Probably a few months from shooting. Carcass, pantera, and exodus are on the board too
-Miller
Necrotic Nick- Agreed. They're so damn consistent. We're actually ranking them at some point in the future too.

Nice review. Crowbar is a fave of mine. Seen em in New Orleans a few times. Very first concert I saw them with was the mighty Entombed. 🤘
What a killer show that must have been!
-Miller
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I've seen the a few times and every time I've seen them they kill it.
….And Suffer as One will ALWAYS be one of my favorite songs of all time ever.
Necrotic Nick- Man, they have so many killer songs. To Build a Mountain and Planets Collide are way up there for me personally.
@@thrallsofmetal Indeed! I paused your video until I listen to the new album fully. Sounds good so far, hope you dudes enjoyed it! I shall return

New Crowbar rules! Listen to it twice yesterday. Great album!🤘
Necrotic Nick- I had a feeling this would be a monster of an album. Kirk rarely disappoints.
You got to get massive cabs to fill out that massive tone. Just a randle head and metal zone .

Miller, I've had to resort to replacing some sleeves on my vinyls with ricepaper sleeves.

Crowbar is not my favorite band but they got their own style. Pure quality.

I ordered my copy as soon as it was released. I've heard zero tracks and read zero reviews.
Are you Crowbar fan? Big-small-middle? They have a ton of albums so feels like as far as bands go they don’t fall in the love or hate em categories.
@@jamesgwarrior1981 Big. I'm actually wearing a Crowbar shirt right now.
Necrotic Nick- I jammed the singles but I didn't watch any reviews until we reviewed it. Crowbar rules so I had a feeling this would be killer again.

Damn Thier 12th album aye this album has such sludge mud riffs nice indeed 🤘👊💯

Love the New Record. I find it goes quick. I wish it have atleast 2 more tracks on it.
Me too

Necrotic Nick- It kinda felt short but man was it loaded with killer songs.
@@thrallsofmetal yea i dunno. I dunno why it feels short to me lol. It clocks in at 42 mins. I think thats average for a Crowbar record.

Best album of the Year imo
Need get some crowbar in collection

CROWBAR RANKED !!!
Necrotic Nick- That will be coming up after we do Carcass, Exodus, Mastodon and Pantera. I'm looking forward to that one.
Peter Steele from Carnivore beat everyone to it….”every hole in my body drips blood…”

not very familiar with crowbar but some songs really stick with me after the first listen.

Good video
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man!
He doesn't use the metal zone like a 17 year old though. He uses it as a volume boost/mid boost. No gain on the pedal at all.
Necrotic Nick- I think it's more of the teenage spirit with his old school know how. His tone is immaculate either way.
Waitin on this one. 🔥🤘🏼
Necrotic Nick- So many riffs... I'm reminded how much I love this band any time I hear them. Killer album
