Wintersun controversy :
• THE BIGGEST JOKE IN ME...

The vocals are recorded the same time as Time 1, so around 2006-ish
So he was pretty good back then too.
Sick intro. Sick shirt. Sick banner. Sick review m8 🔥💥
@@leilahamaoui3564 thanks m8, your support means everything m8 , you da best m8
Second listen... this album has more emotional deep than Time 1
I shall be awaiting for the review for the upcoming new Opeth album 🙇🏻♀️👀
Keep your eyes peeled 😂
Great review sir, agree w/ 95% (which is v good)... was also missing that big gong sound at the end of the album :)
You are very kind, thank you
If you’d consider subscribing it would be massively appreciated ❤
I agree with a lot of this, it is all 'bombastic' and I definitely feel overhyping myself left me disappointed. All I was wishing for after storm was it to slow down and flow, but silver leaves left me again, disappointed.
I hope a few further listens will make it grow, but at this point, it is just a wall of sound.
I think that on subsequent listens it will grow on you.
I agree with the wall of sound comment . It’s why when listening with good quality headphones ( where I could pick out more things in the mix ) I enjoyed it more . It also lead to the album feeling souless as I said ….
It did grow on me though
Minimum five listens for the album to fully reveal itself. Especially songs like Storm / Silver Leaves
@@Denton1944 Jari said himself in a recent interview that a normal human ear focuses on 3(?) sounds at the same time. On repeated listening's you focus on other sounds etc. I felt the same with Time 1, but Time 1 grew on me a lot.
To me I thought It had a lot of filler, its ambitious but not for me.
thank you for this, hoping it comes out on apple music soon
Thank YOU for taking the time to listen to me talk about time 2 … after all this time

@@HornThrowers you earned a new sub my friend 😎 thank you
"After so much time, setbacks and controversy" What controversy was there?
As I said , I linked the video in the description
Storm, first seconds, start to sound like Be'Lakor :)
Strange song cuts is another thing I noticed.
On first listen is good but not as good as Time 1
My conclusion too
It's not even close...Time 2 is just not good...
His vocals improving over the last ten years doesn't really make sense, because everything on Time I and Time II was recorded at the same time in 2006.
My understanding was that time 2 has had many parts re-recorded and remastered over the last 10 years ?
@@HornThrowers I've heard about the re-amped guitars and the re-mixed orchestrations, but this is the first time I'm hearing about anything being re-recorded entirely. 🤔
@@HornThrowers I think so too. The bass, drums and rhythm guitars were all recorder at the same time, but everything else Jari was working on until much later. And mixing of course has been the main thing that took him so long, as he could not get it as perfect as he wanted.
@@HornThrowers This. Just gonna add that e.g. "One With The Shadows" was originally written in 1998 and clean singing part and melody parts were added later on to fit Time 2 album theme, everything were definitely not complete in 2006
About the interludes, Jari mentioned that if you listen to Time I & Time II back to back (the way it is supposed to be listened), blast beats only can be quite tiring to your ears
If I remember correctly, the vocals are mostly recorded between 2008-2011. The drums are still the same ones they recorded in 2006, but they guitars were all re-recorded years later since they had too much white noise.
Sounds like you say
The way of fire and Wall of the shadows haha
