    Nice video. The LSGs are the best. I don't have one but my friend has TWO.
    I hope you continue with "Flat Top King" - I don't know anyone who has a flat top that doesn't also use a charcoal / gas grill & / or a smoker, pellet grill.
    Those of us who love to cook, love to cook all ways.
    Each has it's advantages.
    Doing some of those country ribs real soon.
    Thanks.

    I love mixing my smokers output with the griddle. I have a gravity fed charcoal smoker similar to a Stumps, a steady supply of apple and peach wood. Pit beef cheesesteaks and breakfast wraps are the norm, now I'm thinking pork.... good video.

    That Fireboard thermometer/controller is the bomb..........not just on this rig but as a tool for any smoker.
    To add to Amy's observation about the salsa toning down when mixed with the other ingredients, some avocado.would have been an additional sweetening component.

    We like to use a good monetary cheese inside and some diced green chilis. We have also made a white queso with the salsa verde and pour that over the top. Last time we made the queso we added a couple of tablespoons of tequila and lime juice. I have also seen recipes where you marinade the pork in margarita mix and lime juice. Then smoke it. Thanks so much for all the great recipes.

      @TheFlatTopKing  11 месяцев назад

      Being that heavy....and dealing with a local co that custom makes bbq smokers as well, it seemed the same price...high yes...but I would think thats how much they are being charged....to crate, pick up, and ship...I honestly do not know...its way above my paygrade...

    • @TheFlatTopKing
      @TheFlatTopKing  11 месяцев назад +1

      I just asked what determines the shipping cost...i was told...depending on weight they need to adjust the truck with a heavy enough lift gate...and the cost is not necessarily weight as much as it is size of space it takes to ship...

    • @gosman949
      @gosman949 11 месяцев назад

      @@TheFlatTopKing they need to find some retail shops to sell their grills and smokers. But if they did, prices would go up. But may be offset by the economies of scales to ship multiple quantities to large retailers. But that is not their business plan, and they know best how they want to scale their business. I do know one thing, the more RUclipsrs that get their product, the larger they will need to scale up!

    • @TheFlatTopKing
      @TheFlatTopKing  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@gosman949 well I haven’t addressed this publicly yet. I have other videos already filmed etc. I have been around griddles and smokers for a while. I’ve been offered just about anything u can imagine. It’s taken some real life experience to say no…. Because i didn’t want just another unit. Dealing in the griddle side besides Blackstone most of these companies also have smokers way before griddles. So I am approached often about the smoker side of cooking. When I asked privately behind the scenes to a few other people about what I was looking for.. USA made, open flame, larger capacity, I was funneled into this brand. After looking at other options and dialing it down I reached out with 100% anticipation to pay. I still may send money. After all this was more for me than the channel.

    Hey great cook. But the best part of this cook was the news you hooked op with Criss at Lonstargrillz. I currently have just one piece from those great folks. The large Insulated Vertical Smoker with the competition cart. She is a beast and is so easy to use with huge cooking capacity. Next thing I want to get from them is their large Santa Maria grill for my catering. I don't have a pellet smoker and until Lonstargrillz built their pellet I never saw a need to get one. But after seeing it released and the reviews I knew this would be the ONLY pellet cooker I would ever get. It's made with thick steel, no sheet metal. And I have that fire controller with my Insulated Vertical Smoker and its fantastic. What I like about this pellet is you get a more smoky flavor profile then most pellets but can easily use for midweek night cooks. If I get a customer who asks for some brisket during a part of the week I hadn't been planning on smoking anything no problem. The large pellet cooker can easily do two briskets without losing sleep for the night. And midweek cooks like some London broil, Porchetta, chicken, Duck? Oh yea this is without a doubt the best pellet smoker out there and NO ONE comes close. So looking forward to seeing you do more with this cooker. And I need to consider getting my Santa Maria ordered soon. Would love to be using that this upcoming summer at the farmers market. Have a great day and congratulations on teaming up with Criss and Lonstargrillz. 🎉😊🔥
