Enough respect Jamie with your ability to frame the subject using a ballhead. When I am at 4x magnífication I use a gearhead. So much easier to frame the composition. I have the 2x and 1.4x TC. The results are much better with the 1.4 TC. If I were to choose between them I would pick the 1.4. But for some subjects the 2x with a 1 sec refresh rate on the flash works great. The OM remote shutter trigger is worth the money for macro.
Thank you! That would make it a lot easier to do fine adjustments. But they are quite expensive, and using a regular tripod isn't too much of a problem for me
@@JamieSpensley they aren't too bad. I'm considering getting one. Most are around ~$150usd. The more expensive ones (~$600) appear to have a reputation for failure.
I didn't think I needed it. But I think it would have worked really nice, especially for those two black slime moulds. Next time I use this setup, I'll give it a go
Beautiful images Jamie.

Great shots as usual Jamie. Just a bit surprised you don't use an electronic shutter release with its inherent advantages for vibration control, etc.
My bad. Meant wireless, not electronic. (it's an age thing)
Thanks! I start my focus bracket with my subject out of focus. So any vibrations are gone by the time my focus bracket reaches my subject
Excellent captures Jamie, well done, fantastic stuff...
Much appreciated!
Awesome video like always brotha 🫡
Much appreciated!
Love these shots, great job! What about getting yourself a geared tripod head to make precise adjustments so your framing is easier?

what are you using to record your videos very nice quality and good audio… well done
Thanks! I'm using the Canon R6 and Rodelink filmmaker kit
Why don‘t use Flash and diffuser?

Hi Jamie, great work thanks for sharing. What focus differential are you using for your stacks? TIA
Thank you! In this video, I used a focus differential of 1 but it was overkill to be honest. I should have used 2
The depth of field makes it very hard going, to the point where I also bought a macro rail
Yeah it is quite a challenge and takes some time to set up a shot
Is it possible to see a full resolution photo with a teleconverter somewhere?
Bonjour,.Merci pour ces vidéos. Quelqu'un peut'il me dire si MC20+90mm; on peut faire du focus stacking automatique? Merci pour vos réponses-
Bonjour, oui c'est possible.
@ merci pour votre retour 😉
Does the image file EXIF data identify use of the teleconverter?
Yes, on the 90mm and other compatible lens, both the 1.4 and 2x convertors are shown
6 min ago, I'm super early 🎉
