Should have been an M&M hyper coaster
PharmB
i love that
PharmB
Thats funny XD
M&M’s are owned by Mars, Inc. not Hershey.
@@TylerPCoyne well one thing you could still say, is that it is still candy
Yeah. This is big brain time
Can we all agree that the name Candymonium is actually growing on us? Like it was so dumb at first but now it just works.
I’ve loved it since day 1
@@jaredwallen3052 Jup, me too!😅
This name has something delicious...🤤😊
"Charlie! We found a map to Candymonium, Charlie! It'll be an adventure!"
True

The ending to this ride makes this coaster. The start is pretty standard but the ending is really unique.
agreed
I loved this ride I’ve heard it two times now so smooth I went to Hersheypark last week to
Avery McHale It does look like an upper class B&M hyper.
Avery McHale i kinda liked skyrush more tho, more intense and more fun imp
Camila Mejia That’s quite a popular opinion, as it’s very unique, unlike Candymonium.
Think of it y’all. a raptor with red track themed to a twizzler. 🤷🏻♀️ all i’m sayin
Dueling raptor with red and dark red tracks themed to twizzler 🤫

Rmc Wildcat= Twisted Twizzler
@@christophersteppat7865 oh that would be amazing.

lol yeah you'd think it wouldn't be hard to build some kind of program that looks for a good spot in the waveform to place one of these ads...and yet.
I got a nespresso ad
Caleb Reese I want a tempasta sauce ad
I got a minute-long Entyvio ad.
Gotta pay the bills.
I feel like Hershey needs to add an RMC dueling coaster called twisted twizzlers or something. Either that or RMC wildcat
DJ COASTERS
think of it, a raptor with red track themed to a twizzler. 🤷🏻♀️
nitro.9 Six Flags Great Adventure is only a few hours away and they have Jersey Devil. Why compete with another park when you can have something unique for that area
DJ COASTERS cool
I feel like at some point Wildcat (and maybe wild mouse) will be gone and that can open up a good chunk of land for them to add an RMC. I have rarely seen Wildcat with a line over 5 min
Ryan Agge I’m not so sure since Wild Cat is the first ever GCI. Maybe if they’d relocate it to another park, but I don’t think they’d ever tear it down.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:
“You can never go wrong with a B&M Hyper” -Theme Park Crazy
TylerPCoyne should have gotten a B&M, oh wait, they did!

Sounded like a Game Theory reference to me
But hey, that's just me

I think Candymonium gets better after each ride. It’s definitely a great coaster to marathon. For those of us that do not enjoy Skyrush because of the restraints, I think it’s a great addition.
If Herseypark claims this is theming, can Six Flags start claiming their candy advertising as theming?
Sure...
lol thats facts
I mean, they themed it to something that made sense though
I love how it goes over the little chocolate looking stream..like something out of Willy Wonka...also i love the strong ending...the helix view is spectacular
You do realize that’s poop water right?
I feel spoiled and grateful to have Hersheypark’s coaster lineup in my home park. We definitely a fantastic top 6!
Also decently close to great adventure too
Ik I go like 2-3 times a week and I LOVE living 20 min away
Don’t forget Candymonium at 7…!
1. Skyrush
2. Stormrunner
3. Lightning Racer
4. Great Bear
5. Fahrenheit
6. Wildcat
7. Candy
@@marklehnowsky352 That is a very odd top 7. Candy is easily #2 at least. This is definitely one of my favourite Rollercoasters. So smooth and so fun. And it is the most re-rideable coaster at the park.
I literally just got off candymonium and got this post notification 😂
How’d you like it?
@@skstonesmith i went on it yesterday, it was really fun.
Rank the B&M Hypers like what you did for the Gigas
Yesss
That outward banked turn makes me think B&M took a page out of RMC's book and gave it a shot on Candymonium.
Hershey is really starting to become one of the worldwide recognized parks. I hope one of these days we see an RMC wildcat and another unique coaster here or there. They really are getting close to checking off all the boxes. I'm hoping to make it there next year sometime, hopefully when the world is just a little less crazy.
I’d love to see them RMC Lightning Racers most of all. An intense dueling rmc woodie with all the stops could become the best on the east coast
And hopefully they fix Skyrush's restraints. If they do that, it might become on par with El Toro.
@@stereoface RMC Lighting Racer would be bonkers, but Wildcat needed some love. Hershey has a height limit, so it can't be Cedar Point, but it's definitely the best theme park within the Great Adventure, Dorney Park, and Hershey corridor. I even recommend Hershey in DC over Six Flags America.
please please please please BRING BACK SILVER TICKET AWARDS
And coaster fights!
And park battles!
I said the same thing like a month ago!
Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia is my favorite hyper coaster.
In case you're wandering, I've been on one hyper coaster.
I've ridden 5 and it's my number one too.
My 5 are Magnum XL, Mamba, Raging Bull, Titan (Over Texas) and Goliath. (In the order I rode them)
One B&M hyper or just one hyper in general?
@@Metalhead_Coaster_Fan hyper coasters in general.
After about 4 years of not getting to a park. Candymonium was my first coaster back. The break really made me appreciate just how incredible roller coasters are. How impressive they are works of engineering and art. I forgot just, how freakin big they are too. I have a new found appreciation for them.
I have riden this coaster about 4 times and it is my second favorite coaster at Hershey just behind Skyrush but I still love it! My favorite elements on the ride are the outer-bank and the helix around the fountain. On my one ride I actually felt the mist of water from the fountain going around. Great review!
Candymonium was my second B&M hyper coaster, the other being Intimidator, and I think it’s a lot better than Intimidator. An interesting thing about going around the fountain was that my hands caught a few drops of water from it.
Omg I was on King's Dominion website, and Taylor is in the second row of apple zapple in it's picture!
You really couldn’t come up with a word that rhymes with Apple?!
RMC wildcat or a möbius loop RMC called twisted twizzlers
DJ COASTERS
think of it........ a raptor with red track themed to a twizzler. 🤷🏻♀️ all i’m sayin
nitro.9 And the front of the car is a guy with his mouth open so it looks like he is eating the twizzler
DJ COASTERS omg yes and make it dual
i really like the name twisted twizzlers. i think it's pretty funny
Twisted twizlers lmao
Last Thursday afternoon 8/4/2022 I rode Candymonium with my 38 year old daughter(I’m 71. I felt like I was riding a Jet Fighter. I whooped and hollered throughout cause I was “skerd”. I never thought I’d ever experience such extreme forces in my body. The second hill made me feel as if we would go into orbit. Our visit was cut short due to a storm at about 4:15. But my day was hyper-exciting as Candymonium was my last ride. Looking forward to next year? PWG
I
I’ve been waiting for this since July 3rd.
I love all of the candymonium and chocolate town videos you have made 😂
Your review is definitely what I thought about the ride as well after riding it around 10 times. When I rode it, the fountain was not finished yet. I can't wait to see what it is like when I go again seeing the fountain on! It probably makes that turn 100 times better
Nice review! I rode candymonium 4 days after it opened and thought it was a great new addition! Keep up the good vids!
I grew up in the area, so this is my home park. It's wild to think that I've had such a world class lineup right up the road for my entire life. Like someone else said: Central PA is spoiled and most of us don't even realize it. Candymonium is a great addition to the park's lineup and is such a fun ride. The perfect counter to Skyrush's intensity. Can't wait to see what Hersheypark does next!
I’m on my way to Hersheypark right now, so excited for Candymonium!
I go to Hersheypark all the time. Saw you guys in line at Lightning Racer. I really like Candymonium. It was the last B&M hyper I needed in North America and I gotta say it's one of my favorites. I love the layout but also really like the completely different trains. Each train is themed to different candy which I think is really cool compared to over B&M hypers. The wrap around the kiss fountain is also my favorite part as I love to wave to the people below lol. Overall I think it's a great ride but I do prefer Mako, Apollo's Chariot, and Nitro.
Great review! I got to do 10 rides in late July, and totally agree that this is a front row ride! What an awesome coaster, especially for us enthusiasts who don't love Skyrush. It's an excellent addition to the park.
Ive ridden this 10 times on two different trips there this year and it is a great ride. And thank you taylor bc you put this video out before I went the second time and you were right this(and skyrush too bc I originally thought the restraints were just bad) it is better in the front.
Love that Hershey kiss fountain and how the coaster goes around it. Looks like Hershey Park and B&M did a great job with this.
Candymonium is my favorite coaster. I can’t get enough. I rode this last Saturday right before the park closed and it’s like they were trying to rush through the last few groups of people because we flew like nothing I’ve ever been on before and it was amazing in the back! I didn’t feel a single trim and it was kinda scary! I loved it! My friend was screaming like a little girl. I couldn’t stop laughing. We just rode skyrush too and I thought that Candymonium was going to feel like a kiddie coaster comparatively. Boy was I wrong! It was nearly as intense but it stacked up pretty darn good. 👍🏻
I couldn't stop laughing either. Definitely one of the most fun I've been on
It is my #2 with Velocicoaster #1
I loved it. I’m a season pass holder and I got to the park late on our opening day, just in time for the last ride of the day. Got on, got a sunset/night ride in the back left seat and LOVED it
That looks awesome! Comet was my first coaster in 2nd grade. Time for a little road trip!
Looks like one of the best B&M Hypers out there!
John Lorton my favorite is Goliath at sfog
I’ve been waiting for this video thank you
I rode it for the first time 2 days ago. It is a floater airtime machine! That first drop in the back row left me speechless!
I love how they added a intense coaster and added a nice family aesthetic with that fountain.
I wouldn't call a B&M Hyper intense. Skyrush and Wildcat's Revenge are intense.
Right after I got on yesterday, the ride was delayed for 15 minutes. Now that's one way to make the layout more fun!
I rode this on Sept 5 thinking that it wasn’t going to be all that. I’ve seen POV’s of Candymonium prior to riding and I always thought the ride looked very slow in the videos. Once we got down that 1st drop..my mind changed instantly. Videos Don’t do this ride justice! It’s much faster when you’re on it! I’ve been on front row seats in Superman Ride of Steel in Six Flags America and I don’t feel the drop that much but THIS coaster is a totally different coaster! Definitely can feel the drop even in the front seat and the it feels like it’s dropping FOREVER! Loved the ride!
The head chopper is one of the best parts of this coaster
Great Job on the review. I’ll try to ride it if I ever get the chance. Keep up the Great Work Taylor and Stay Safe
I was there the same day as you. The kid working the kisses tower was thrilled to have seen you! Every time I ride candy it gets better.
Very few people say the end is boring but he was the one who has a Vekoma Flying Dutchman for one of his favorite coasters. 90% of the coaster enthusiasts love Candymonium and think it’s a average length for a B&M. This has a great layout and it’s a hyper coaster so it’s packed with airtime. Btw a lot of B&M’s go out one hill. One other thing a like about Candymonium is it’s custom B&M layout
I swear no joke every coaster review. Taylor's voice gets deeper.
So far been on it 3 times. Once when it was opening day and I was at first meh ok not bad not bad. The second and third time my second trip out. Loved it! Definitely this ride is a great addition to the park. Hershey is my home park and the remodeling of the entrance is amazing!
Theming? Compared to the european(or Disney or universal) standard, there is no theming.
B&M did a fantastic job with this one. It is just so different and unique from other B&M Hypers, that wave turn looks awesome. This is a perfect fit. The park needed some big coaster that was not super intense like Skyrush and a B&M Hyper is the perfect way to go.
This coaster the Candymonium is much better then Skyrush, Skyrush is a nasty ride to be on Skyrush is a #3 Candymonium is a 10 because its a smooth ride enjoy.
I agree that the helix around the fountain is what makes this ride. One funny thing is that you can sometimes feel the water hit your face as you go around if there is a slight wind. I experienced that and it was pretty funny. Great Review!
i got a ride in almost all rows (except row 3 and 4) and in my opinion airtime is good but weaker in the front and moving back until rows 7-8 however front row is an incredible experience I loved the near miss element and zooming by the hershey fountain
Also, when the trims don’t trigger YOU GO FLYING OUT OF YOUR SEAT 10/10 airtime I got lucky and the trims didn’t trigger
I love that fountain!! I want to ride this coaster!! 😍
Ngl. This is my favorite hyper. The best seat for me was row 3. I got ejector airtime on the banked airtime hill and the smaller hill after the hammerhead turn but before the helix. It’s such a good ride
I agree! I've marathoned this many times. Front, back, inside, outside & middle. I prefer the middle...
@@jessajessa5747 the middle was a hit or miss considering it's an odd numbered row coaster (cus the middle typically would be 3 rows on this type of ride) But row 3-4 for me was best of both worlds. Being a heavy person (around 205) at the time (I'd say a month ago) I got ejector on that speed hill post turn around. Tbh I didn't like that final helix. The fountain was good visual but it felt very slow for me idk why. But that sideways airtime hill. Omg. I never felt sideways airtime until then (yes never been on an rmc yet was supposed to go to cp in June but. Rona) so it was fun
I just rode this ride today as I’m writing this it was a blast. You want to ride it 4pm or later it’s like a 10 minute wait. I loved the floater airtime and it was thrilling I gave it a 9.5 because that trim one the hill you mentioned sucked but that’s the only bad thing.
Agree with you on that Mako comparison. When I went I wasn't too enticed to reride Candymonium after I got my front/back rides, wheras Mako was almost soley what I rerode when I was done with everything else. That said, the second half of Candymonium from the first helix to the end is AMAZING. Skyrush still gets my favorite coaster in the park by a longshot, but Candy was pretty fun....
great vid! thanks for doing this.
Really thought this was a solid review! I’ve never been to Hershey park, but this was a great top quality review!!!
Update: I just got surprised that I am going to Hershey Park 🎉
“Now we need a coaster themed to the wrappers”
About to get 50 more rides on this next week! Great review!
I hate that trim too 😂
Now we need a Behemoth review, I’m thinking if it’s the only B&M hyper Taylor hasn’t made a review of.
Goliath La Ronde
TheStar 07 not a hyper
Joshua Pritchard if you’re talking about Goliath at La Ronde, it’s not a hyper.
@@donovanw2150 Over Georgia
Got to ride it this week. Made the decision to ride in the back seat. That first hill whip over the top was worth the ride alone.
Now at 76 rides and it’s gotta be my favorite b&m hyper
the brown water really completes the aesthetic of this ride
Going there to ride it in two weeks I’m pretty excited
this was my first coaster and it was great
I love the ride so much and I haven't even gotten the Chance to Ride it yet, I need to go back to Hershey I haven't been there since 2017 and that was for Christmas at Hershey, so the last new Coaster I got was Laff Trakk
I got about 5-7 rides on it a week and a half ago and basically agree with every single thing you said. I haven't been on Shambalah but I will say this is my 2nd favorite behind Mako... only because of that wave turn over the water. (the high up first one not the end turn)
This is definitely a top 5 B&M hyper.
a few days ago that was my first ever coster it was great
Great breakdown thanks.
I was let down, and I didnt really have high expectations. I knew it'd be floater air and not super intense but the air was still lacking. It was the strongest floater...Goliath at SFoG kicks its ass, and those trims....esp the 2nd one kills the hill and cool turny part. I only rode near back perhaps front is better but yeah was underwhelmed even w not terribly high expectations
Skyrush is the most painful coaster I’ve ever been on but it’s worth the ride for the airtime and I think I’ll like this one more since it’s more comfortable and has a lot of airtime like skyrush so I’m looking forward to riding this next year
yes it hurts the legs (Skyrush)
I rode this for the first time yesterday. The sirtime was so intense that my back hurt afterwards becuase it was being stretched out so much. Also, I didn't notice the trims at all. I don't know if they were diactivated or not, but honestly I think that the first hill after the turn-around had the best airtime of any moment on the ride. This was my first ever hyper coaster, and as of now, pre-Wildcats Revenge, this is my favorite ride at Hersheypark. I haven't done Skyrush yet, but I also hope to get on that soon.
This ride is underrated and people are saying it’s short but it’s a average length for a B&M Hyper this ride made me satisfied I loved it after my first ride. This ride is somewhat intense because the high G’s and airtime. This ride is definitely one of the most intense B&M’s.
Which first drop do you like better? Orion’s or Candymoniums?
Hersheypark is my favorite park in the US.
...and I live 1 hour from Cedar Point lol
Normal People: this tide has no theming
Hershey park: DeCaLs
Such a great roller coaster. I just rode it and I got a lot of airtime. Hersheypark has a great lineup.
Just rode it twice today. Super smooth and on equal on Nitro with my B&Ms so far. Maybe I'm just easy to please.
Pretty good layout. It's missing an air hill or two though, seems just a tad short
Its Much better than it looks
Ik you didn’t do a behemoth review but what would you rank the coaster
Super glad to have this in my home park ! Can’t wait to check it out, as I’ve never ridden a B&M Hyper before, only Sky Rush, which is obviously Intamin.
If I could plan the next few years for Hershey, I’d retrack the rough moments on Wildcat and turn some of the banked turns into wave turns, as it seems that every manufacturer is taking inspiration from RMC, and since Wildcat has so many banked turns, I could see GCI reworking the layout a bit. I wouldn’t RMC Wildcat, as it is GCI’s first coaster, but a retrack seems like a very solid option! After that, I honestly would be okay if they RMC’d Lightning Racer, as with the new Wildcat, you’d have two solid woodies along with Comet. I know Lightning Racer is amazing, but imagine if they made a Twisted Colossus for the East Coast, and improves upon it by figuring out how to duel every single time.
Wildcat has been retracked...it still didn't make it bearable to ride. It's an awful ride, no matter how many times they try to fix it. I can't think of a ride more deserving of the RMC treatment.
Jessa Jessa Yeah, but it’s the first ever GCI, so that’s the only reason I’m hesitant that they’ll RMC it! I’d absolutely love if they did, don’t get me wrong
it is awesome, also the airtime is great, probably because i didint staple myself this time
Sounds great! Out of all B&M Hypers I've done, I especially love Shambhala so I know what you're getting at.
I don't want to be a smartass, but about you greying out on the bottom of the first drop: A different temperature results in a change in friction of the wheels and their bearing which in turn makes the train lose speed slower or faster. That means that the effect gets more noticeable over time. So the difference in speed at any given point of a ride when comparing a cold with a hot day will be biggest towards the end (trims and other speed control mechanims aside), but basically not noticeable at the beginning. So I am pretty sure you greying out there must have been related to other circumstances like i.e. if your stomach was maybe too full or too empty or your hydration was worse than for other rides or anything else that has any influence on your circulation like the weather or whatever.
The Helix however is of course far enough into the ride for the effect to become noticeable and I'm quite surprised B&M seems to have made it that intense. Nice!
Thanks for the detailed review!
If you get it figured out would you make a video of which b&m hypers you ranked kinda like you did with the gigas?
Looks Great
i think i was there the same day you were on Friday and Sat august 7 & 8. I agreewith you 100 percent that trim brake was horrible. i rode in last row and i felt that whip of airtime at top of lift hill hurt a little. but just if you rode in last row. the air time on this was great actually it hurt a lot less that skyrush lol
really liked it super smooth super nice it was my first b & m hyper too kinda still preferred skyrush tho just cos it was more intense but this ride is great
Man you have a dream job wish I was able to travel and ride rides for work 😭 I wanna ride this so bad but hell even go to the park I’ve never been
I’m glad Hershey got this ride and I hope it stays for least 20+ years
It sounds crazy but I think the front right (as seated) seat is the best seat on the train. That little whip out of the upward helix is a really neat side floater-ish air time.
If you sit on the left side of the train you might get sprayed with water during the helix
Hey Taylor, or anybody that could help, I am planning on heading to Florida with a group of friends post-COVID (I live in Canada) and we have the chance to EITHER go to Busch Gardens Tampa or Seaworld Orlando. I'd love to go to both but it doesn't work with our plans. Which one would be more worth it? We are big coaster freaks and are in it for the thrills. Busch Gardens seems like it has more to offer in that aspect (and Iron Gwazi is making my mouth water), but at the same time Mako, Kraken and Manta are fantastic coasters too and I'm torn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Change your plans and hit both.
its amazing! 🤩 It had so much airtime! I even have a hoodie of it, 30 dollars spent well... its that good.
I have the same opinion for nitro, but I prefer candymonuim
How's the efficiency on this thing? In almost every shot it was double stacking.
I now own bragging rights for this
Hey Taylor When Are Your Six Flags And Cedar Fair Predictions coming out
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't do them this year with a lot of 2020 attractions being delayed
The Quacken I agree but I think maybe some time next week if he does them
@@thequackenscoasterchannel2927 Either way, this year is going to be nothing really major. I could see SFMM's Jersey Devil clone be the only coaster announcement For Six Flags.
I highly doubt any new rides will be coming next year besides the rides that were supposed to open this year, with the exception of Velocicoaster
I’m not planning on releasing them because there isn’t much to talk about. I wouldn’t expect a lot at all. I doubt some parks will be receiving anything.
Would this be a good hyper coaster to ride if you have never ridden one before
