- Hyperia is the UK's TALLEST and FASTEST rollercoaster opening in 2024, and oh my god it is massive. Thorpe Park's new ride is HUGE compared to the other rides at the park - even Stealth looks tiny! Saw: The Ride, Colossus and more positioned around the ride in Planet Coaster give a good idea as to the sense of scale this thing has.. and I genuinely cannot believe it. This recreation is purely made to give a look at what it could look like when it is complete in real life, so it won't be perfect!

Dan, wtf dude, this is insane! Also, thank you for including the whole lift hill in the POV. I know that’s a bit of a weird note but I’m actually petrified for going up that, so seeing how long it lasts and getting the rough feeling of it is v helpful for me! Beautiful precreation, congrats!!

Superb mate.
This ride so needs an upwards helix over the water before the break run. Think it's going to be a.superb coaster but they could easily have put in one more element near the end.
Agreed mate. I’ve always said this ride has got top 5 potential but is slightly let down by the length. It’s such a shame as it going to hit the brakes with some speed! Still looks unreal though!

This will be the best coaster in Europe. Pacing is insane. That's not just 81 mph for one moment. That's 81 mph and a good 60-70 averaged on the layout. This thing is going to pack a PUNCH

it would be cool if you did a planet coaster competition for theming the area around hyperia so like the rules would be that the coaster layout and trains have to be kept the same but the competition is who can create the best themed area around the ride

Hyperia is gonna be FIRE
I'm about to sound like a pessimist: I don't know how I feel about the trains being lap bar-only, especially considering the outerbank. Over-the-shoulder restraints sound a lot safer, but as Mack designed these trains with Lap Bars, I hope they did a fine enough job. Hyperia will be my nearest accessible Mack Hyper (Thorpe Park is the nearest theme park to where I live) when it opens, so I feel that's a good spot to try out those trains.
The lap bars will 1000% make the experience all that much better, safety wise it's no different from otsr's, they're also some of the comfiest trains in the industry.
You'll just feel more free is all but you'll still have something to hold onto, don't worry.
you serious? lap bars are just a safe as otsr (over the shoulder restraint). Anyway, other mack ride coasters such as icon and ride to happiness both utilise lap bars and both have inversions and are both incredibly safe coasters.This leads to my point that otsr are, in most cases, unnecessary as they can cause headbanging, can often block your view of the ride and the rest of the theme park, and can be very uncomfortable. This is why, i personally believe that lap bars are a much better as they give you a nice sense of freedom - that otsr lack -, they are often much more comfortable, and are just as safe as they use the exact same safety mechanisms. Thank you for you time.
Sik at Flamingo lane goes safely upside down 10 times with a lap bar, so I don’t think there will be any concern with Hyperia’s lap bars

The restraints are just as safe as otsr’s. They will 1000% improve the experience. If you need any more convincing, Sik in Yorkshire goes upside down safely 10 times with a lap bar, so modern lap bars are just as safe, if not safer, than over the shoulder restraints
Bruh are u having a mental block its safe as any restraint… its just if ur too short too fat or too skinny or too tall u cant ride the lap bars
