The AMG CLS63s was taken out for a drive to do some launch/RaceStart and record to get Dragy times. It's a different video compared to the other videos I have here on the youtube channel. It's more of a (Vlog) style video, so feel free to let me know if you guys enjoyed it. The day started out rough, but we finally made it to our destination and began our mission that was short-lived. The goal was to record times on the Dragy and have something verified. The amount of effort that went into recording this video was tremendous, and somehow we still failed in the end. Due to the number of cars being out, it made things very difficult. Watch the journey documented this time around!

If you have upgraded turbos u might not be able to launch because the TCU will cut power because it sense to much torque. Would have to brake boost till u get TCU tune raise variable to around 20%. Regardless you won’t get power to the ground with out a TCU tune even with ecu tune the first 3 gears will be cutting power by lowering the boost.
He should just buy a 2014+ 4matic awd model. No traction issues there until turbo upgrade. The downside is the newer 2014+ cars are 4600-4700 lbs and despite a "S" designation done for the awd model, there no difference in power from 2012 to 2017. None. The P30 performance pack became standard on all CLS63S/E63S models, 550 hp/531 tq, not 577 hp/590 tq. Hundreds of dynos prove that as do poor performance numbers. I mean these AMG's are 200 lbs heavier than a bmw M5 Comp but the M5 Comp can put down 2.8 sec 0-60 and high 10's at 130 mph. The AMG's need over 730 hp/800 tq to do that. The bme M5 Comp has only 617 hp/553 tq. But bmw under rated them while AMG over rated theirs. Dynos of the base M5 even, show over 670 hp/650 tq crank. And the M5's all hook'n'cook. No issues with grip.

I think he got rid of this car. No new videos in over a yr. And in the end he says its a lot "faster". Well I didn't see any top speed runs or 1/4 runs to verify speeds to say its "faster". How much time it takes to accelerate is how "quick" or "quicker" it is, not how fast. Obviously these are fast, capable of 195 mph tuned but they are not that quick as compared to their BMW M5 Counterparts. And there's been 2-3 flavors of M5 now since 2018 or 19. Only 1 flavor of E/CLS in the 63 line. Wish there was a 625 hp and 660 hp version of the AMG 63 models. His acceleration times were 3.7 to 4.1 sec. Pretty much stock numbers it'd be nice to see 2.9 sec with under 700 hp/750 tq. The best times seem to come with brake boosting upto about 2500-3000 and releasing brake and rolling into full throttle at same time.

This car is almost my twin. Identical but I have white inside instead of the red. Do not use launch control, brake boost up to 1700-2000rpm and as you press the gas gradually release the brake pedal. And as mentioned before Black Boost intake an Tcu time an that thing will be so much more of a monster.

Brake boost because it’s to much torque the TCU will basically cut all power. No TCU tune brake boost if you have a TCU tune you should be able to launch it.
I know that I'm late but you do know that , that CLS comes with a pump machine in the back ... FYI
What state are you in? Can’t be. CA or WA with their insane noise laws of max 95 decibels or exhaust and intake upgrades.
Skip race start. It will slower using it. Quicker with a good old fashioned brake boost.
Do you still have the oem turbos and are you selling them?

@Motorized nation531 I bought the cars with the red amg tips but the paint was coming off so I painted them black. Nothing special just a little DIY because they always turn black when dirty
Is the bang and olufsen system better than the stock harman?
that's what I wonder as well. I know the B&O has a sub in the trunk, where the spare tire is I think.
It’s very crisp but I’m not sure if it’s better. I never had the harman but I have heard that it’s very good
It’s much better and 5k more than the standard Harman system.

@s In my case hip hop and new jack swing. Believe my, there is no comparison between them. B&O ist way better in every sense. But you need to find the right car with it. It was very expensive to spec. Most people sent with the cheap solution.

How do u get the tcu tune and from where ? When I look up tcu tune for weistec, renntech, and eurocharged it’s only talking about an ecu tune. I’m so confused where do I go to buy the tune ?
