The F/A-18 is so elegant for a straight wing fighter, its apex's really brighten up its appearance!

The F35 came out in 2006. Just think of the technology that is available and in development today.
That was the first flight the aircraft was not actually adopted until 2015 or 2016 I’m sure they’ve made a lot of changes to some of the systems since then…

Actually. That is not a wheely. That is called a high alpha. It is where the pilot get the jet slow enough to fly at a high AOA. Then they fly off thrust and adjust the throttle during the maneuver to main altitude. Sorry if it isn’t explained perfectly
I can do everything the F18 can do with my RC plane.
Another good example of the Super Hornet fly by wire and flight control authority. Contrails provided by the under duress fuel system!

Wow what a great flying display. The F18 is a big plane and I thought the F35 didn’t look any smaller. I had it in my mind it was a-bit smaller. That f18 solo was quite a change to the norm. A very wide envelope with lots of energy but still keeping it in tight. Nice. Looking forward to RIAT to get my fix in a few weeks time 🤩🏴
The F35C also has 25% bigger wings then the other ones beaches of his CATOBAR capabilities
never see f-35C variant really strut it's stuff at air shows. always the A models.
