    This demo was awesome. What's funny is they must have sat in the hold during the rain storm for over an hour before they got to fly. Thanks for posting!

    It's about time someone flew an Aggressive Super Hornet Demo!!! Best demo of the super hornet!

      Well said. I like how they keep the energy state/speed up. Almost looks like an f-16 demo a bit. The older, slower speed demos didn't hit the same as this new one. : )

      Well said. Back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. The big dog at airshows was the f-14 and its high speed, aggressive demo. That was the headliner. Feels like today, the big dog at airshows is the F-22. Navy wants to up their air demo game to catch up. : )

    Know what is amazing besides the way these planes fly is the way landing gear gets tucked up in there!

      The F18 was originally designed for USAF and had lighter duty gear, which had to be beefed up for Navy use but still hada fit, hence the arrangement. But yeah, it sure is cool! 👍😊

      They only appear to do use flares over water or over desert where there’s little to no chance of setting something on fire

    Next to the F-35, the Super Hornet is my favorite fighter jet. I don’t think most people realize just how good the Super Hornet is. It is an absolute killer. What it’s capable of at low speeds would make it a nightmare for any opposing fighter jet in WVR.

    For those of you at home watching, I know that this sounds cool but you absolutely have to see this in person before you die.
    There really is nothing like the sound of the engine reverberating in your chest as the plane passes by. Remarkable.

    Can the super version be considered too fat? To me it feels like it's finally as big as the wings can take (the flap is still huge), and I would want the YF-17 with stubbied wings.

    • @chgr7025
      @chgr7025 9 месяцев назад +1

      Nothing had the presence of the Tomcat at an airshow. Nothing can match that bass of the engines on takeoff...in my opinion.

      The Tomcat has Been retired for years and it isn't coming back. Frankly I'm getting More than a Little Pissed Off at these comments about the F14 as compared to the Super Hornet! This is what the USN has and will have and use for years to come so Deal with it and move on or just go watch F14's from Air shows 20-30 years ago! Geeez people😤🤬

    • @chgr7025
      @chgr7025 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@malcolmcossar6447 honestly, I was just replying to OP’s post. I totally understand the Tomcat is retired. I’m just going off of experience of seeing/feeling the sound, the rumble, the growl of what I have seen in person compared to the SuperBug. The Super Hornet is a sexy airplane, but it’ll never replace what my memories are of the Tomcat doing what it did and the airshows I’ve seen it at for what it did and the power that it projected. I apologize if that offended you. I meant no disrespect at all. Just my personal opinion.

      @@malcolmcossar6447 i was basically stating a fact as other people on here have & obv the hornet is an amazing fighter i first saw one display at Raf Mildenhall in 1989 & a Tomcat in 92 but seriously if i really wanted to watch aTomcat display that much i wouldnt watch a 30 year old video id go to Iran & watch one

    • @malcolmcossar6447
      @malcolmcossar6447 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@stevecurd3944 I understand that. I Neglected to mention that I too like or liked the Tomcat. I got a little too upset and I apologize for that but I sometimes feel the Men/Women who fly the Super Hornets don't get the recognition they deserve because their aircraft is always being compared to the Tomcat. Different aircraft for different times. One day the Super Hornet will be Completely retired and then people will probably say they preferred seeing Super Hornets at airshow instead of probably F35C's or possibly the New Sixth Gen fighter the USN will eventually have in a decade or beyond. It's the way people are. We don't appreciate something in this case F14's until they're retired. Once again No Hard feelings. My fault for flying off the handle and over reacting to your comment.👍
