Hi! Thanks for that. I have a roller shade similar that all the strings have broken and I need to know how to restring. Eye hooks and a few possibilities of how to do this so I am confused. Thank you!
Sorry your roller shade is broken! Regarding broken strings I’m not sure I know how to fix that! However when/if that happens to my shade I’ll be sure to make a tutorial if I ever have to do or figure out how to do that type of repair. Hope you find some instructions on how to replace your strings!
good info! however, our patio chain-operated screens are mounted so high, I'm not able to reach the top even w/a tall ladder....any suggestions as to who to call for the repair? I know I need a new clutch
You might need to see if a window covering company can do your repair! It’s tough when things that need repair are out of reach. Replacing the clutch is easy. Now you need a longer ladder or someone who will do it. You’d probably have to take the shade down to make the repair easier. But I’m not a professional so sorry I’m not more help!
@digitalcamproducer I have the same problem and the exact same roller clutches as shown your video. Could you post the exact model/part number or link as the existing Amazon links are generic searches that only show models without the ‘base’ (with the screw holes).
Sorry I didn’t have a link the roller clutch with the screw base. I think I got mine on eBay. Here’s a link to the standard size clutch: www.ebay.com/itm/253212583124?hash=item3af4a564d4:g:zXgAAOSw-jFZ5dLV
Yes I understand what you’re saying. This video is specifically for Rollease brand clutch repair. Hopefully you find a tutorial for the type of shade you have!
Thank you for walking through a replacement! All the other videos only replaced the chain 😂
You’re welcome! Glad my video helped with the info you needed!
Mine broke on the little plastic that holds the roller to the side of the window. Where do you get that part?

Ive seemed to break not only the clutch but also the cylinder that it attaches to, do you know where I could order a new cylinder/clutch?
