I go through some of these neighborhoods everyday to get to school. They're not that bad, we get a lot of yellow alerts in school tho because there does seem to be a lot of crime near the area.
Honestly other than the crime rates in these areas its nothing in comparison to Detroit, Chicago or Flint's depressed areas. North Charleston has its run down buildings here and there, but its basically still clean in comparison and the people in North Charleston are legit at heart. It's caused by being held back by weak low paying jobs, and being a minority in a ever growing more expensive urban city area. These people are mostly hard working individuals trying to get their piece of heaven like everyone else. Being deprived of opportunities to advance causes areas like this to progress in all big cities.

My sister used to work as a nurse in North Charleston and used to have to go to work at 3 in the morning one time this lady was crying waving her hands in the street to flag her car down and she got out and when she did she got shot at she’s very luck they missed and she got in her car and ran away

One grocery unless you drive 5 miles to Walmart. We are going to make Newport grow. Three tiny house communities. About 150 lots. New house on each lot. Most paid for. Going to make our money flow in the town, and Cocke County. Right near Dollywood, an hour from North Carolina's major cities, Asheville, and 40 minutes from Knoxville. my sister lives in charleston and her boyfriend lived in this area for a few years. it dont look too bad but its one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country statistically. charleston is a beautiful city but north charleston is a whole nother place entirely

What is causing all that noise in your vehicle? North Charleston isn't that bad. I am moving to Newport TN. It looks worse than North Charleston, and they do not have trash pick up, or recycling. One grocery unless you drive 5 miles to Walmart. We are going to make Newport grow. Three tiny house communities. About 150 lots. New house on each lot. Most paid for. Going to make our money flow in the town, and Cocke County. Right near Dollywood, an hour from North Carolina's major cities, Asheville, and 40 minutes from Knoxville. it is pretty disgusting to see the kids roaming around in the streets and the one shot showed the kids shooting hoops where the basket stand was on the side of the street. They need a youth center with those facilities where kids can play in safety. Also the powers that be do not want to put in sidewalks. No sidewalks make the places we looked at very depressing which can set a negative tone to the total environment. SC appears to not care much about their black communities.

Theses are not bad neighborhoods. One of thr streets he driving has my church in the corner. (Joshua bapt church.) Of course if you dont stay there ppl going to stop and look but its not bad. Alot of the neighbour hoods have big familys (big mama house, auntie house, etc. so if anything they dont want any drama on they block.
