- On this Air Raid Siren walk I visit 5 Sirens and walk over 10 miles, up and over a mountain.
Starting in Silver Lake I walk up Baxter Rd, one of the steepest streets in Los Angeles, before going through Elysian Park and then through Cypress Park and Glassell Park before ending in Atwater Village.
Thank you so much for all that you do! My three-year-old son has been watching your videos for almost two years now. He'll ask for "Douglas Johnson" videos regularly. You were definitely a big part of our lives when we were cooped up during repeated lockdowns here in Canada.

I love all your videos and I've been fascinated by air raid sirens since elementary school and I love how Los Angeles has so much history!!!! Also my father in law told me that the connected sirens are usually used for either fire warning or earthquakes
That is a very steep street ! Looks like you had a great time meeting all these people, very nice ! Also that Model 7 on the fire station looks good !
You can probably hear the effort it took to walk up in my voice. I was thinking of asking the firemen if I could go up on the roof for a closer look but they seemed like they just wanted to chill out in the station. Maybe I’ll bring some donuts & coffee and ask them one day.

How did it almost kill you?
It was admittadly an over exaggeration, but that mile plus walk up the extremely steep, 32 degree incline, street which ended with a long staircase in 90+ degree temps almost did me in. I stopped three times and almost quit the walk. Hope you can forgive me for the click bate title.
