Well, I have sold 2 of these to a young (21) promising player with fairly good technique. His best shot is by far his backhand. Lo and behold: 1 year later this lad is kicking my ass with his Prestige. He's very consistent and can spin the ball like crazy with his forehand (which used to be his liability). This racquet, in the proper hands, can make wonder. All depends on the POTENTIAL of the driver...
I played with a 93 in² YouTek Prestige MID until the beginning of last year and I had no problem with generating spin. 16x19 is not for me. I break strings too easily and I don't wanna play with a thicker string than 1.25mm. I have played with so many different rackets and the Prestige was always the easiest to play with for me. It just instantly felt like a natural extension of my arm. I string mine with an Isospeed Blackfire S, which is very durable and adds a lot of spin. Topspins strings are mandatory with this racket for me, but that combination of the frame and the string gives me the perfect balance of everything. I can serve well, hit great forehands and backhands, flat, with spin or slice and it's the best racket for volleys I have ever used.
you should try youtek IG prestige mid - miles better than the "normal" youtek. my daily is i.prestige mid but going to restring the 2023 pro i have with my regular string and give it a shot. love the PJ of this 2023!

Love the feel breakdown and I also have the 2015 Blade and PT280 as top tier feel frames. I am finding the Yonex Percept H to feel pretty great and also be a lot more forgiving than a Prestige. It would be cool if you got one of those in.

May I suggest that you try out Prince Phantom 93p? It is another amazing control frame with true paper thin beam (16.5 min and 20.5 max). Even though being 93, it is pretty easy to hit with. And it just cuts through the air. I also have the POG 93 Mid Plus which is harder for me to play with. So I bet the newer 93 (released in 2021?) has got some new tech in it. Would like to see what you think about 93p when comparing with the other control frames like Prestige Classic 2.0
Beautiful racket, great review! Exactly why I love playing with the Prestige, but I'm moving onto the Pure Strike for some more modern spin an power. I'll always miss that classic control feel though. (The 2021 Prestige used in this video was actually MY racket, so it will live on forever on RUclips!)
I am recreational player and I love this Racket but it's true that you need to go for all the shots and be confident. If you don't attack, have a good slice and you don't have proper technique/footwork definitely don't buy it. However, if you are a good player (not necessarily incredible player) with long strokes and decent footwork this Racket may help you to learn and improve with that "prestige feeling". Definitely a good teacher if you are willing to learn rather than win matches
This is why recreational tennis is great. When you don't have the pressure to win every match, you can take the time to enjoy different equipment setups.

How do the new blades compare to the 2015 version? I'm looking to switch from that, but it's tough since every racket I've demoed so far is a noticable downgrade in feel
They feel very different. The stabilizing tech in the layup gives a slightly mushy feel whereas the 2015 is very pure. Spin is higher though and they're equally stable at a much lower swing weight but that may not interest you.

@@silverwolfgecko7064 i've been testing the gravity pro and vcore 98. The gravity feels like next best thing to blade feel wise. Really solid racket. I've also demoed the tecnifibre tf-40 18x20 wich is also similar in feel to the gravity but higher launch angle so you may like it.

I’ve just switched to it from my Extreme Tours which I thought I’d never do but the feel and playability of the Tour is just addictive…I strung it at 42 lbs with Lynx as per a lot of recommendations for arm conservation and also for some extra power to go with the control and I’ve found it to be an absolute controlled rocket ship…I also tried it at 46 lbs and was nice as well but 42 lbs just feels unreal..It’s actually quite manoeuvrable and even quite whippy for this type of frame…I haven’t tried the Pro but from all reviews and people I’ve spoken to, the Tour is far more user friendly

Used to use RF97 but it was too stiff Or is the Tour hardest one? I played briefly with VC95 too but it was too filmsy
Thank you! I would say this racket is easier to use. The Blade Pro has a massive swing weight and that makes it very difficult to manage. You need to swing full with the Prestige but I'm sure that won't be a problem if you use the BP.
I play with the 2021 Tour, and love it. You absolutely have to be aggressive and confident in your racket, and it rewards you! Already ordered a new Tour, hoping it's just as good

How do you feel about prestige tour? It’s a 16x19 with 22 mm beam just like the 2015 blade. Also not quite as heavy as the pro, although it’s a small difference.
I haven't played with it in a while but I remember feeling that it lacked a bit of identity. It was very powerful (kind of like a Pro Staff) but there was never a feeling of, "yes, I would pick this over the Pro Staff". Something was just a little off about it to me.
I have never played with the Whiteout, unfortunately, but the Speed Pro is fantastic. Great power/depth but a very solid, controlled and stable feel w/ the 18x20 pattern and heavy specs.

I am looking for a racket that allows me to send the ball exactly where I want it. Since I have strong power, I am focusing solely on control. I aim to hit the ball hard and accurately, like Marat Safin or Sinner. Is the Prestige Pro the most suitable racket for me among the models currently on the market? Or prestige tour? I am currently using the TF40 18x20
The Ultra Pro is even less forgiving. The Ultra Pro is an H19 which (if I'm not mistaken) is molded to the shape of older Prestiges/Pro Tour 280/630 so it's actually a 95 and the string bed is tighter as well.
I have never played with the Prestige FP MP but I found FP rackets to be very hollow, so I would assume this one feels a bit more buttery if that makes sense.
They make a Head Prestige Pro 2023 16x19 but it's sold exclusively through only a select few online shops in Europe. Damn... I would totally jump on that if it was available in North America.
I've been playing with the 2021 18*19 Prestige MP and it's absolutely the best racket I've used! The specs and balance should make it a nightmare to serve or swing this thing, but actually it clicked for my right away. I know that if I hit the ball early and clean the result will be the same every time. Nothing, unpredictable will happen. Yes, if hit late, the ball will not make it over the net. I think the 18*19 is the new 16*20 and on 100 sq inch, I don't think the levels of control can get any better than the 18*19 Prestige. Some power and some spin is there, but what I enjoy the most is the great stability it has and the fact that during the 2nd set of a match I'm actually less tired with the Prestige MP, because I can swing it more loosely and get great control, while with lighter rackets I have to keep trying harder every time to minimize the twisting motion of a slight misshit. 2-handed backhand and flat forehand feel great.
I am a stringer and CAP grommet rackets are always a little annoying because crossovers are much more difficult to see, but they have gotten much easier to deal with over time.
I have no idea why people keep saying that head prestige pro is only made for good pro player. I am 3.0 player, I play better using my 80s head prestige pro mid than light flimsy modern racket. I serve way better, ground stroke better, everything better. I love old heavy prestige mid racket 😅
I dunno. I found that Pro Staffs have much better feel than the Prestige. I got a mushy feel off the stringbed when playing with the Prestige Mid and I couldn't tell when I was hitting it in the sweet spot. It was much better with my Pro Staff 85, 90 and even 97. I also found I could generate power easier with the smaller PS85.
There is a more crisp feel off of the Pro Staff, but I disagree that the Prestige is "mushy". You may just like that crisper response (I think I do too).

Sometimes modern tech is modern marketing. The new prestige doesn't need excuses. It's a proven stick and nobody is getting paid to use it. It's a good racquet that appeals to an accomplished player.
The modern game is dictated by corporations and tours for non athletic players and higher profit margins . The golden age of tennis was just that for reasons that are not existing today .
The new Prestige Classic 2.0 may have the Prestige Pro beat in terms of feel. The caveat being dealing with 93 sq in. But a buttery 61RA and a slim 19.5mm beam.
The Prestige MP 99 inch2 (former Tour 360+ 2019) with 18 x 19 pattern and 22 mm beam all through, seems to be Heading (Punt) towards a more contemporate modern play take on a Prestige. To me swingweight is more important than the overall weight of the racket. you can have a 285 gram rackets with impossible manouvrebility because being so head heavy. I think the MP L will just move the balance towards the tip as all They do is remove some weight in the handle. Also the MP L has a different drilling and string pattern 16 x 19 in a 99 inch2.... that can be too open for a control racket. So the MP L is really not so much a Prestige racket.
Yes, I'm very excited to try both MPs because they do seem like modern prestiges and I think that 99 16x19 can still be good enough for control if they get it right.
Dont string the Prestige Pro too tight with the polyester strings. The Pro will perform much better with a hybrid, with multi in cross and edged co-poly in the mains...., strung in the 48-52 lbs range.
I've demoed the 2021 Prestige Pro over the summer and I wasn't impressed. The sweetspot is as small as a pea and the racquet is extremely underpowered. A GPro in comparison feels like a powerhouse. U have to work twice as hard on every shot to create a powerful ball. If u play against strong opponents the racquet will make you suffer in any defense situation...
It's definitely tough to use but some people will love that about it. Agreed for most people (including myself) the Gravtiy Pro makes much more sense in today's game.

Through juniors I played with the older 95", 18x20, Prestiges. Believe my first Prestige was the Flex-Point. Idk how I still have an arm playing with this thing my whole life.
They gotta ditch Cilic as the pro that endorses this racquet, need a younger player that'll get more attraction to the lineup, because it definitely deserves more love than it gets
I actually think Cerundulo could be great. He's an exciting player to watch and I think he's got a bright future ahead. That, or paint someone else's racket to look like a Prestige and revive the line.

Yes the Prestige suits a one handed quite a bit better but it also has a much smaller sweet spot and is generally more demanding, yes.

I haven't tried the 97D but I would assume it's more forgiving and powerful than the Prestige.

So was there really no difference between the 2021 and 2023 pro ? Does that 2 less RA make it even less powerful ( by a noticeable amount? )
I wouldn't say it makes it any less powerful but the feel has noticeably improved.

Yes, it's great but unfortunately we don't carry it this year.
They make a Head Prestige Pro 2023 16x19 but it's sold exclusively through only a select few online shops in Europe. Damn... I would totally jump on that if it was available in North America.

I've been playing with the 2021 18*19 Prestige MP and it's absolutely the best racket I've used! The specs and balance should make it a nightmare to serve or swing this thing, but actually it clicked for my right away. I know that if I hit the ball early and clean the result will be the same every time. Nothing, unpredictable will happen. Yes, if hit late, the ball will not make it over the net. I think the 18*19 is the new 16*20 and on 100 sq inch, I don't think the levels of control can get any better than the 18*19 Prestige. Some power and some spin is there, but what I enjoy the most is the great stability it has and the fact that during the 2nd set of a match I'm actually less tired with the Prestige MP, because I can swing it more loosely and get great control, while with lighter rackets I have to keep trying harder every time to minimize the twisting motion of a slight misshit. 2-handed backhand and flat forehand feel great.
It's a fantastic racket and I can't wait to test out this version of the MP!
Not sure if you are a stringer. But are these more difficult to string than average racquet because of grommets?
I am a stringer and CAP grommet rackets are always a little annoying because crossovers are much more difficult to see, but they have gotten much easier to deal with over time.

I have no idea why people keep saying that head prestige pro is only made for good pro player. I am 3.0 player, I play better using my 80s head prestige pro mid than light flimsy modern racket. I serve way better, ground stroke better, everything better. I love old heavy prestige mid racket 😅

I dunno. I found that Pro Staffs have much better feel than the Prestige. I got a mushy feel off the stringbed when playing with the Prestige Mid and I couldn't tell when I was hitting it in the sweet spot. It was much better with my Pro Staff 85, 90 and even 97. I also found I could generate power easier with the smaller PS85.
There is a more crisp feel off of the Pro Staff, but I disagree that the Prestige is "mushy". You may just like that crisper response (I think I do too).
ihave both speed legend and prestige which i feel more lively with prestige even i think it could be heavier around 340 350 make it better like prestige classic 2.0
Sometimes modern tech is modern marketing. The new prestige doesn't need excuses. It's a proven stick and nobody is getting paid to use it. It's a good racquet that appeals to an accomplished player.
The modern game is dictated by corporations and tours for non athletic players and higher profit margins . The golden age of tennis was just that for reasons that are not existing today .

The new Prestige Classic 2.0 may have the Prestige Pro beat in terms of feel. The caveat being dealing with 93 sq in. But a buttery 61RA and a slim 19.5mm beam.

The Prestige MP 99 inch2 (former Tour 360+ 2019) with 18 x 19 pattern and 22 mm beam all through, seems to be Heading (Punt) towards a more contemporate modern play take on a Prestige.
To me swingweight is more important than the overall weight of the racket. you can have a 285 gram rackets with impossible manouvrebility because being so head heavy.
I think the MP L will just move the balance towards the tip as all They do is remove some weight in the handle. Also the MP L has a different drilling and string pattern 16 x 19 in a 99 inch2.... that can be too open for a control racket. So the MP L is really not so much a Prestige racket.
Yes, I'm very excited to try both MPs because they do seem like modern prestiges and I think that 99 16x19 can still be good enough for control if they get it right.

Dont string the Prestige Pro too tight with the polyester strings. The Pro will perform much better with a hybrid, with multi in cross and edged co-poly in the mains...., strung in the 48-52 lbs range.
I've demoed the 2021 Prestige Pro over the summer and I wasn't impressed. The sweetspot is as small as a pea and the racquet is extremely underpowered. A GPro in comparison feels like a powerhouse. U have to work twice as hard on every shot to create a powerful ball. If u play against strong opponents the racquet will make you suffer in any defense situation...
It's definitely tough to use but some people will love that about it. Agreed for most people (including myself) the Gravtiy Pro makes much more sense in today's game.

Why wouldn't you have an arm? These rackets are soft and comfortable. Your arm muscles grow to adapt to the extra grams of weight.
They gotta ditch Cilic as the pro that endorses this racquet, need a younger player that'll get more attraction to the lineup, because it definitely deserves more love than it gets
I actually think Cerundulo could be great. He's an exciting player to watch and I think he's got a bright future ahead. That, or paint someone else's racket to look like a Prestige and revive the line.
