It has been a week since My brake light came on I couldn't understand but I watch your video. I just pressed the button and it went off. Thank you!.
That’s awesome! I’m glad it helped!
Am really greatful for this video. I was working but, felt very uncomfortable seeing the break light come up. So i had to close and my house is far. Then i came online watched your video and realized it was my hang break that was raised up
That’s awesome! I’m glad it helped!
The break fluid was low!! I can’t believe it, thanks for saving me a trip to the dealership!!
You got it! I’m glad it helped!
I tripped in a bit of fluid and problem solved. Thank you!
That’s awesome! Thanks for letting me know!
Worked perfect, don’t know why I didn’t think of this. 🤦♂️lol
It might just need to be filled a little more above the max line. I saw it was a common Toyota problem and definitely fixed my 2001 Solara!
That’s good to know! I appreciate that!
I got a corolla 2009 and this sign popped up today ?
I just checked mine and the float itself was stuck! I stuck a screw driver in there and jiggled it free and it fixed it after filling it up the the max. maybe try that.
Yeah that’s a good call. I’ll have to make sure it’s not stuck. Thanks
Brake fluid is low? You need to replace brakes or possible leak.
Yeah. It’s a leak. I’ve had the breaks checked.
Thanks that was my problem that was great information the break fluids was low
I’m glad it helped!
Hi Allan! Thanks for this video. I needed brake fluid in my Hyundai Elantra. Once I put it in the parking brake indicator light went off. Thanks again 🙏🏾
That’s awesome! I’m glad it helped!
Thanks for the video my wife s car fluid was low but main reason was the parking brake she had pushed w o realizing it!
You are welcome! Glad it could help.
I will check that fluid in the morning thanks
Nice. Yeah. Let me know how it goes.
No so my brake fluid was good. I guess the brake line has to be changed
@@annamariagonzalez6124 hmmm. Maybe so. It’s definitely something you want to check out.
My parking break was on.. thank u

The random dash brake light coming on is one my biggest pet peeves. Great idea for a video and great tip!
Thank you! And same here!
Mine stays on all the time now. I'll fix it by covering the dash brake light with black tape. 🤫
Nope and Nope
?
thank you so much for this!
You got it!
That explains why mine always comes on while climbing steep hills.
Nice. Yeah that’s probably right!
This video definitely helped thank you
Awesome! I’m glad it helped!
Also just for some more information, filling up brake fluid in the reservoir is not needed because It doesn't burn like oil so it will always be there... ... just like transmission fluid, power steering... Unless of course there's leaks in the system.... when the brake fluid gets low that's just an indicator that the calipers go in etc..when thr pads get low... and when new pads are put on the calipers.. the calipers are depressed from the Piston the brake fluid will go back up through the lines to the master cylinder.... so if there is extra fluid in there it will pour out of the master cylinder spilling in the engine bay.. if the tops off when doing a breal job.... and if it's not it will cause pressure and it could even crack a plastic master cylinder...etc.. because with the extra fluid it has to go out...... so that that would mean that low brake fluid is just your pads are getting low.. it can't be recommended to put fresh brake fluid in there once twice a year but really 4,5, 6 years cars have been running with the same brake fluid.... thanks for sharing your video.
That’s good to know. Thank you!
Yeah, tired of being buy oil fluids everytime when light appears, but just 1-2 days for bottle of brake fluid, then buy another 1..Any help please
Hmmm. You might have a leak in a break line somewhere.
Thanks this was really helpful. I just put new brakes and a master cylinder in a few months back. I’m like there’s no way the brakes are bad.😂😂😂 just accidentally bumped the parking brake
Haha. You got it! Yes that has happened a few times to some of my cars in the past. Feel free to subscribe for more helpful videos. Thanks.
😂
Thank you. I haven't checked yet but I did replace all the brake on my $300 suzuki myself so this is very possible
Hey that’s a good call as well though!
I have a Suzuki 2012 LE, this just became a recent problem. I’m still tryna finger out what’s wrong with it. It’ll pop on, then turn off. This all happens while I’m driving
@@official4ktrey77 did you check the brake fluid? There could also be something wrong in your container as well.
@@TryThisDIYFix the brake fluid reservoir, should be good. Unless there’s a possible leak. But I have been around my car looking under the hood a couple times, and didn’t see anything out of the unordinary. Talked to my stepdad. He said just put the parking break up, put the car and gear and shake it a couple of time and it’ll probably stop. But if that doesn’t happen it could be a possible low brake fluid
@@official4ktrey77 yeah that’s a good call! Let me know if that works!
Thank you 🙏
You are welcome! I’m glad it worked!
Fixed, thank you bro

Today on the highway a vehicle abruptly cut in front of me, I hit my brakes hard to prevent contact and the red light momentarily came on, shortly afterward another hard braking event was necessary- again the light came on for an instant. Fluid reservoir is full. Perplexed, help if you can.
@@chuckcawthon3370 hmm. You could be triggering a sensor, or the parking break.
Good info!
Thank you!
I have a 2001 tacoma and mine comes on when i brake hard or theres bumps or dips. Fluid is full.
Hmmm. That could be the sensor just tripping since it’s getting old.
@TryThisDIYFix thank you!! Now it just stays on! Lol. I appreciate you responding. I'll subscribe to demonstrate my gratitude.
@@er7586 thank you. And sorry about that. Hmm. You can check the fuse as well.
Could it be the brake pads need replacing because my light is on and I don’t know why
Might be. I know for mine, there is a slight leak in the break line somewhere but it’s not bad enough for me to fix it just yet.
My polo vivo doesn't want to brake brake fluid is OK but the ABS light is on
Hmmm. You might want to get it tested. The brakes could be messed up. Find a trusted mechanic and ask. Brakes are very important.
Thamks for the vid

Could also simply be a low level brake fluid sensor.
Yeah that’s a good point as well.
Thanks.. I was about to remove centre console to check switch . I didn't realise there was a low level warning sensor. Topped it up and fixed it
That’s awesome! I’m glad it helped! Feel free to subscribe for more helpful videos.
Our light comes on put on Brake no Brakes hit a pole to get it to stop
You hit a pole?
Got oil change they said they changed the break fluid yet the light still on
Have you driven on it? Mine took a few miles to go off.
Great
Awesome. Glad it helped!
Thank you ❤

Thank you! I appreciate that.
Thanks. My question is why my rear brake lights are on .when I start the vehicle. Not in the dash board.. just the back of the van 2008 dodge grand caravan. Thanks.
Hmmmm. I’m not sure. You could have a leak in the line. You might want to get that checked.
Brake light switch under dash by ur brake pedal
@@JoseMendoza-hf2sx good to know. Thanks!
My e brake isnt on and my brake fluid is full lights still on what now?
Hmm. I’d probably take it to a mechanic just in case. It could just be a fuse but I’m not sure.
my truck, i filled brake oil but still shown on dashboard why?

Thank you.
Hmm. You checked the parking break? Did you drive on it a little?
@@TryThisDIYFix yes checked parking brake. And yes
@@Chonchonilolhi I’d take it in and see if someone can fix it. You don’t want to ride on bad brakes.
Mine come in with the abs and the steering gets stiff n the rev drops ... do u have any idea of that
Hmm. No I don’t that stinks. Might want to get that checked out. Sounds a little like a short somewhere or spark plug.
@@TryThisDIYFix yes seem like a shorts
Didn't help, mine has been on for months now, but my brakes and the parking brake works!
Hmmm. Have you gotten it checked by a mechanic? It could be a different issue.
@@TryThisDIYFix I've had multiple people look into it, I was thinking it could've been my parking brake switch or something because it's doesn't register on the dash that the parking brake is down and my parking brake is in the center console
@@Turbo.g hmm. Yeah that is weird. Sometimes they get stuck so I’m not sure. I’m glad it’s nothing major though!
@@TryThisDIYFix I know right
Same thing with my 4th gen. There is a procedure to test the brake fluid sensor. If it's at its full capacity, the sensor should give you from 1.8k ohms to 2.18k ohms
Thanks need to know info!
You got it!
Zero Marks
?
👌
👍
Thanks for watching.
It's irresponsible to tell people to add brake fluid, without telling them to have someone find the leak. You should almost never have to add fluid, unless there is a dangerous problem. The system is designed to have the level stay between the marks, even after the brakes are worn, lowering the reservoir level. You fix the brakes, not add fluid, imho.
@@steverichdrummr yes you are right. I thought I recommended checking the brakes if it continues.
HOW DO YOU FIX A BRAKE LIGHT ON? Why is My BRAKE Light stay on dashboard
ruclips.net/video/0T38YaE191Y/видео.html
Hmmmm.
Test br
Yeah. Good call.
This video is a long drawn-out way to suggest that we should check our brake fluid after releasing our parking break.
Check and check.
You are correct. I hope it helped.
That didn't fix it for me. I might need to get new brake pads or replace the fluid level sensor.
That stinks. Yeah maybe so. Or you could have a leak. Did you ride on it for a few miles? Sometimes it takes a few minutes to register.
