If you've got nasty hardwood floors that you want to "rejuvenate", then this product might be for you. This stuff does not fix deep scratches or fill holes or anything, so if you've got some serious hardwood floor problems, you may still have to go the route of sanding down your floors, restaining, and re-polishing.
The process here with the Rejuvenate Wood Restorer is easy:
1) Vacuum or sweep the floors. Sand down or scrape off any old carpet glue if you have something like that on the hardwood.
2) Clean the wood with the Rejuvenate Wood CLEANER
3) After that's done drying, apply the Rejuvenate Wood Restorer. You do this by squirting an "S" like pattern in 5ft by 5ft sections are so and then wiping the mop across it.

This is a 1950s house, how surprised are you that this stuff restored this??
I'm extremely excited! I saved thousands by not having to sand down my floors and re-stain/polish.
Eventually I may have to still do that, but this saved me YEARS.

Can you tell us what problems you faced after a week as I hear lots of complaints about this product ...
How often do you apply polish per year?
Rejuvenate is a poly/acrylic liquid that cures to a hard surface, but not hard enough to resist dirt and oils which will be trapped in the finish. Removal of the Rejuvenate is the only way to solve the problem, but requires an emulsifier, renting a buffer, mops, wet/dry vacuum, neutralizer solution, and a buffer. Not to mention a complete light sanding and two applications of polyurethane to make your floors look good. As a professional cleaner/refinisher I see this all the time.
@@stlyg777 So this is a quick fix for someone wanting to sell a house, not do heavy restoration to the floors, and let the next owner take care of the "quick fix".
Rejuvenate can make your floors look like a million dollars and is super easy to maintain! This product helped me to sell my old home to the first person that looked at it! It made my new home's 23-year-old floors look brand new and totally flawless! So simple to maintain!
We just discovered by accident that we have beautiful hardwood floors under our nasty old carpet. It looks just like yours! Thank you for this video
Best thing to really do with floors that old, is thoroughly clean, then wipe them down with Odorless Mineral Spirits. It softens the Urethane finish, which allows you to then give the floor a fresh coat of quality Urethane, which will last for decades more. All you'll ever need to do then, is clean it with a quality cleaner like Bona floor cleaner, and that's it.
Thanks for the tip. I'd rather your method, since the results last much longer.
How did I miss this video!?!? I have been needing to "rejuvenate" some of my hardwood floors! Thanks for the vid! I will never understand why some choose to cover such beautiful floors! Glad you gave them new life!
Yea I cant believe people would cover this, especially with ugly carpet! Definitely give it a shot, worked for mine.
Very good video! I experienced mixed results. Overall, I’m extremely pleased. I rejuvenated hardwood floors in two rooms. The finish in the first room had been worn in spots (no scratching) and looks fantastic with two finish coats. Although the second room has scratching, the end result is still far better than before I started. Rejuvenate isn’t an end-all solution, but it’s very good for getting a home ready to sell without having to invest thousands.
I had this stuff on my todo list for a while, after buying my house. I just went today and bought everything (bc of your video). I did 2 test spots and so far so good. My floors are really rough (house built in 1943)... desperately hoping I get even 1/2 the results you did!
How did your floors hold up after using it?
This works! I just finished, it was quick, easy and my wood floors in my apartment are shiny, clean look like new!
Does it cover scratches well? How did it hold up after using it the first time?
@@j.richardson817 Yes it does and it holds up very well. I do it every six months
can you believe people lay carpet over such a nice floor!!??!! great work both of you restoring it 💪👌
Yea it's crazy. It was cheaper to repolish than lay carpet too, so I just dont understand what the old owners were doing.
Old people feel cold and afraid of falling.
I live by rejuvenate, always leaves my floors so beautiful
Hard to believe people would've wanted to cover those up with carpet...looks really good now, Shawn...nice job.
Thanks man, yea I couldnt believe it either. Lol
You guys did an absolutely wonderful job on those floors. They look beautiful. Good job guys.
I appreciate it! 😁
Thank you 🥺👏🏽. You just saved me 2k 🤣❤️
It was nice to watch the video. I will be waiting for the next one soon. "hiring a professional to do". 2 problems
1. color is uneven so is the floors.
2. Once you apply this product, you will always have to be re coating. Which it means very soon the areas will start to get very thick making the floors scratches easier just by looking at it.
That's why it's marketed as "rejuvenating" and not "refinishing".
Well I appreciate such a straight forward simple and informative video so I’m definitely giving a thumbs up. Thanks for the content.
Beautiful wood floor my mom did same thing with the old bedroom carpet under it it’s beautiful wood floor we just cleaned it and polish
Such a transformation! Looks so much better now!
Thank you!
I just did the exact thing you did.. Honestly didn't notice much difference from before.
Please don't use this stuff on your floors, it makes the look good for a little while then it gets dull, then you have to ad more and more and soon you will have a thick layers flaking and you will have to sand your floors to remove it.
So what do you recommend?
Es is right. For every video of a person using this type of product, there are 1 or 2 videos showing how to remove it. Spoiler alert, it is much harder and more expensive to remove. So basically this stuff puts a layer of a soft wax in the floor. It is shiny when applied, but soft. Not like soft that you touch the ground and feel it after it has dried. It is just not hard like some other finishes. What this means is that it can trap some dust on its surface and it can add scratches that are not actually in the wood. So what do people do when they notice this? They think it’s time to reapply. After several layers of this are on the ground the floors become cloudy and can actually have an odor. The thicker it gets, the deeper the scratches are as well.
I have used it twice in the past 10 years and never had an issue with flaking or buildup.
Absolutely agree with this feedback ! I ruined my beautiful floor and I am now investing a great amount of time to remove the dull layer rejuvenate left on my floor
@@Cristiano_ronaldoSR you should have them Screened and recoated every 5 years or so, the reason it won't bond to the floor, and depending on how much you use it it will be very hard and expensive to remove.
Thanks for sharing this video! Just bought the items from your link for both the bundle and polish. Will get it this Thursday. So excited to get our hardwood clean and shining again. :) God bless!
How is it does it really works?
I actually put my stuff in a cleaning water bottle from the Dollar tree and I can do the long part or the one with like that little hairspray one part of the spray bottle like you can adjust it and it also works as well if you're not familiar with how much to really use in one spot so for me for beginners of using this product which I've been using for a couple years now but that's what people recommend not just putting all over your floor because once you do that you can't get it off like once you put too much on you can't get all of it off so that's what I recommend as well if you're not I'm used to using this kind of product or any type of product that is wax or oil or restoring your floors so you know how much area you could and you can always go and do another layer if you feel that you want more shine to your floor
and on top of that he's using that thing I use electric mop to evenly wash and spread that around so it's all even with a Polish mats on that came with my electric mop just because that little spray thing is not as much you doing more work with that little spray then you would actually doing a spray bottle seconds I used a spray bottle anyways because you're not really supposed to be using a lot of cleaning supplies or water products on any type of floor if you wanted to last as long as possible third he's using that because he has no wax on that floor so if you have waxed floors do not use that scrub brush use a soft mild to soft to the touch scrub brush..
if you know how to re-wax your floor then you can use that scrub brush that he's using but I don't recommend using that little brush that he is using just because you can see how long he's been doing it just if you're in a time limit as well because you do have to let it dry and sit there so I recommend if you have kids at school to do this in the morning so by the time I get home from school your floors were already be done but if you do wax I recommend waxing at night so it dose give time to dry if you do have kids.
I will also be putting a video of what I use for my house floors because I have tile floors and I have wood floors and I also babysit dogs as well have kids so you're seeing me do my video as well with different products that I use but I will not be waxing because with my apartment I'm not allowed to be waxing my floors.😁
thank you to this guy for hopefully let me share this comment he's been doing a really good job but he's used to doing it so that's why I figured I'd put a couple things on this video that are for people that are not used to doing
Do I have to move all my furniture when I'm using Rejuvenate? Some of it is too heavy to move on my own. I appreciate any recommendations that you might have. ♡
@@vaynovak if you want to easy and evenly cold then yes but if you don't want an evenly cold on the floor then you don't have to just know where your floor and how back it is and go from there that's what I do I go underneath my couch
I took my rug this weekend my floors are in pretty good condition, they squeak when I walk on them and there are some gaps.. if you can advise me on what to do
I don't have a lot of money I can't call someone in to do it.
I will try to do myself.
thank you. I like your channel.
Very handy ,the good makes it shiny we can see the big difference
Great job! Why would anyone cover such nice flooring. Very nice restore!
Thank you! Some people are crazy. Especially to cover it with carpet.
Maybe a medical condition?
Back in the day (the 1970s), carpet was a status symbol and was considered more comfortable than bare wood floors. Now that wood is expensive and tastes have changed, wood floors are back in style.
This is an ok product for very very low traffic areas only. Anyone that chooses to use this type of product should know before hand exactly what to expect; and this is what to expect. It generally takes multiple coats the first application. This is where things go horribly wrong. The multiple coats get gummy and sticky and will also dissolve with just water. Over time you will need to apply more and more and more and it will only get much worse. You will then start getting flaking and gummy floors that will by this time habe mixed with every tiny bit of dirt and etc mixing and being absorbed into the product. By this time you will consider scrubbing the floors to death and this will damage the floors. This will cause you to finally consider sending the floor down. This type of product will gum up your sending pads and cause you to buy more pads to.
So do yourself a favor. Rent a sander, get some stain, some finish, and do it right the first time. It's not near as difficult as you may think. The most labor intensive part is moving furniture and clearing the floor. If dome right it will take only 2 or 3 hours to completely redo floors. My advice go to a hardware store that rents the equipment get everything you need after moving all furniture etc from the area then picking up the equipment including stain etc. Then simply come it hot with the sander (it takes literal minutes) take the rented equipment back,. Then stain the floors. Follow manufacture instructions on dry time. Then apply the finish. Trust me this is by far the easy route.
Or you can all this type of crap product in the video watch it get dull in a few days and let the regrets start.
Don't be intimidated by sanding etc it does not take near as much as you think and just about anyone can do it easy. If you can walk you can do it. It doesn't matter how big small weak or strong you are.
Leaving a side note above all do not apply this product on top of old finish. It will dull it even more and get inside the original finish leavi mg you with a foggy sticky floor that can't even get dust mopped because the dust mop will stick to the floor. Do not use this product in humid areas period. Do not use this product if you have kids. Unless you like your floor wearing and absorbing everything they drop. Do not use more than one coat of this type of product because it will only make it more sticky and nasty. You willnonly get a few days on shine from it in high traffic areas. You will Be disappointed
@@skylark5789 a mask works great. Plus check out hardware stores and tool rental shops. A lot of the sanders will have filters etc one them.
Check out videos on here by professionals. They go into great detail on using the shipment, safety precautions and concerns, grit, and how to use the equipment correctly. If will also give you a great mental picture of the whole process start to finish. A lot of really great professionals on here to.
How can people put carpet on top of such nice wood flooring!? Crime! Good job bringing it back to life!
It doesnt make sense! We were lucky to find them.
Hardwood or heart pine was typically used to strengthen the subfloor pine boards--started simply as utility. As shellac and then varnish and polyurethane became popular, polished wood came into its own...however, carpet was a luxury at one point, and hardwood was fairly pedestrian as it was difficult to keep clean and undamaged. Times and trends change.
Always wondered if that stuff was any good, never wanted to experiment on my floors. The question, how long do you think it will last?
I'll probably have to use it every year as tenants move in and out, but I'm not sure. But for $10 a bottle, it's worth the annoyance for now.
I loved you demonstration do I removed old build up quick shine off the floor
Nice job, thank you.
Your floor looks beautiful!
Thank you! Definitely not bad for a little hard work and $50
Dang that's some nice wood under there. Have you seen the channel Wabi Sab E? He does home reno and his old house has the most beautiful wood under old flooring.
Thank you! I just checked their channel out, that's an old farmhouse they're working on. Really neat.
You're awesome. Thanks for making this video for all of us.
I use Old English furniture oil. Last for several years.
How often should we do this for the hardwood floors? Is it just as needed or is there a right frequency to avoid buildup or damaging the floors?
My Way of Cleaning the Hardwood Floors
2 Steps of using the Shark VacMop
Vacuum Dry Debris, Mop Wet Messes, Use the Restorer
Turned out really nice!
Thank you, pretty shocked by how it came out.
My living room has a huge rug stain from the previous people. Would that take care of it?
When cleaning the floor, don’t you need to RINSE the brush? Otherwise, the brush just pushes around the dirt. Please explain.
nice sharing and useful.
Wait, after you scrub it, dont you have to wipe it down before you restore?
How often do you have to redo it? Every month, half a year or a every year?
Every 47 days
Thanks for this.. im looking for a good tutorial how to clean and improve my wood floor..
Thank you!
Great video!! What number of sandpaper would you use, if needed, on floors as you mentioned? Thank you!
So you scrubbed the floor with a brush and didn't mop it up, then applied the restorer?
after you scrubed the floor with brush, you never rinsed and cleaned before final product used????
Hugo Jimenez In other videos I have seen with this stuff you just have to let it dry and then put the stuff on.
Looks great Shaun!
Thanks bud!
How did the finish hold up over time?
Is that the grout brush you used?
Does it have a smell to it?
Does this work on floors that already have varnish on them to "restore"? The varnish on my floors is always sticky after I clean. Used to be a rental, and have no clue as to what the tenants did to the floors.
How long does it last just looks like my floors look after waxing them.
Came out nice
Right?! Thank you.
Can this be applied to laminate flooring?
Is this like bona? I heard some type of hardwood floor can not use this. Can you let me know if the product you posted can be used on all kinds of hardwood floor regardless of its finishing. I have house built in 2000. So I am not sure what kind of hardwood finishing used. Is that safe to use this product? Thanks a lot.
Great job boss
Awesome video
Thank you!
Is rejuvenate a wax
Wow. that stuff did a great job, and came out fantastic
Thanks bud, couldnt pass up on revitalizing some good wood.
your supposed to buff the floors, your just putting a coating that doesn't last i know i did it, if you mechanically buff with a big machine you shine the laquer and that last for years
Mop and Glo... Looks great for a bit but then fades.
you don't mind having cupped up floors ?
Hey sir! Rejenuvate restorer does it last in time after 2 years? I'm interested by the product.
Absolutely not
Does this leave a sticky residue on the floors?
No, it dries up very quickly actually
Don’t waste your money, just poured in the water and mop as usual and find something else or throw it away
Can you buy in AUS
Will this get rid of white stains on my floor? My dog peed and the stains turned white!
Get rid of the sepsis machine.
How to rejuvenate pretty new floor 😒 Floor was already looking great so I still don't see a big difference.
Recoat with a polyurethane. Dont use an acrylic polish.
How’s this compare vs bona?
Hi so do you think bona is better
Don't think that will work with sun faded wood floors where a covered section by area rug still looks new with the surrounding area dull and faded and color faded.
I have the same issue.
I liked this at first use but it doesn't hold up, floors are ashy again 😅
Dude I think that part was for tiles, it may scratch the wood
How much of the second bottle did you use?
For the 3 rooms, I used about 3/4 of the refinishing bottle
Does this have a strong toxic odor?
No not really. Not that I can remember anyway and I didn't wear a mask.
I tried it didn’t work
Assume this only works if you use polyurethane on your floors. I use no VOC finishes...so...?
It'll list what it's safe on, but typically any water based "polish" or rejuvenating liquid will be for water based poly.
thank you! it's useful information. however, you music is too loud to hear. it would have been better without.
Looks like mop and glow stuff. Can’t use on my hardwood
It doesn’t work
Great job. Carpet is a terrible invention.
OMG .... Please don't use this on your hardwood floors. We are just going to have to charge you more when we refinish it. #refinishhardwoodfloors
This absolutely ruined my floor. There is a white film on my floor now after using this Rejuvenate. My floor is plantation hardwood floor. I have scrubbed my floors and it doesn’t come up. Please do not use this product on your floor. It will be shiny as long as you keep applying it. You absolutely cannot mop your floors or it will be ruined. You won’t be able to stop using this product. Just keep caking it up. It’s a no for me. Ruined floors!
Foolish! This is floor wax! Don’t use water based waxes on wood! Major mistake! Rookie
Don’t use that stuff!! I’m having a hard time getting it off my hard wood floors. Will never use again. I had to call a professional in to remove and it cost me $500 to do my kitchen, foyer and dining room. I do not recommend this product.
Why are you trying to get it off?
@@xtermnation7654 because the buildup was really bad and has turned the original color of my floors dark. Where my chairs were on the floors it scratched the rejuvenate and there was no way to fix it except remove the product entirely. Now my floors look 1000% better.
Don’t use this stuff on your floors, it makes recoating and refinishing them later much more difficult. It’s considered a contaminant and will cause polyurethane finish to not properly adhere.
Rejuvenate sucks and I do not recommend it for anything, took me a month to get the crap off my floors.
I’m looking to buy this product and I see many people saying what you’ve stated but not the reasons why. What’s bad about this product?
@@itkahsramal4983 It doesn't go on even and you can't go back and touch it up to make it look right, you can't clean it without it spotting and it takes a lot of scrubbing to get it off. I was told this before I put it on but didn't believe it and now I'm a believer in not using it.
@@thomastr3 wow, now I’m wondering if that’s what’s already on my bedroom floors (New house) the former owner rented it out! So I’m sure something like this would’ve been used. It’s like a cheap clear fingernail polish very dull though and scrapes away easily. But I must say you took advice about this product the same way I took advice about Morning Glories 😭
@@itkahsramal4983 I ended up mixing vinegar and alcohol together to get it off my floors, then I used Murphys oil soap to bring it back to life. good luck with your's
You do not put wax on hardwood rejuvenate is no more than wax sooner or later it has to be took off you may get a few months The cost of having them stripped by a professional is not cheap don’t ruin your floors I know because I am a professional
What about Murphy's oil?
So you would come in with a hand sander seal, refinish and polyurethane. Would the added step would be having to use stripper for the wax. My question is how would he ruin his floor, I’m considering this too but don’t want to ruin the floors.
You are so right @Cleve Edmonson. I used this stuff on my hardwood floors. It looked good for a while until I started to get buildup and the floors turned dark and just looked dirty. I had a professional come in and remove the wax to the tune of $500. All I’m going to clean my floors with going forward is vinegar and water! That’s it!
It's still polyurethane, just not a poly-finish... definitely not wax...for a pro, you should know it's not floor wax.
I have nice honey colored ( I think) hardwood floors. Now I have black stains from acidic dog urine. Help!
That stuff is a nightmare to remove. Get your floor retreated and finished. DO NOT USE THIS CRAP!
He could’ve just recoated with oil…
This is a temporary "fix". Don't be cheap. Do it right. This product is garbage.
He mislead so many people with this product. Most people are not going to want pay to have this mess stripped from the floor
Porquería de producto !! Terrible producto, let stains on the floor that is imposible to remove !!
