oh my god! This was a solid 10 minutes of old school lore, I was hooked! There's so many names, so many memories, the old heroes, the old villains, all polished to a degree I never thought I'd ever see. I honestly don't have enough compliments to give this incredible team. It's as if the lore of the original WCII and the books has come alive with today's RTS standards. I'm just flabbergasted at how incredible (and resembling!) these characters look and sound!

I am glad that Warchief Doomhammer understands how economics work in Azeroth and how much Stormwind treasure is really worth, otherwise goblins would take all of it from him without him even realising it. Before he would find out he was duped with some useless junk, the goblins would be on the other side of the planet on some tropical island on vacation, sending their "best client" a postcard about a pleasure doing a business with him, enough for him to become completely enraged and hate them even more than Gul'dan himself.

Did they also add in the assault on Gnomeregan mentioned in the Chronicles books? If so that’s amazing! I love how much they’re adding to this telling of events.

Also now that Blizzard Entertainment is free from Activision-Blizzard's former leadership and from Bobby Kotick in particular and with Metzen back at Blizzard and having leadership over Warcraft I do hope that we would finally get Warcraft IV and that Metzen would see to it that its made with respect to Warcraft RTS lore and RTS fans, that the story and campaigns would be built so that anyone who has never even played WoW could play Warcraft IV in terms of story and lore.

Pretty freaking great but one lore inconsistency: Teron'gor would be dead at this point, killed by Doomhammer when he killed most of the Shadow Council. The only Warlocks who spared were Gul'dan, Cho'gall, and Nekros Skullcrusher.

I am sad about the WoW Hobgobs I always liked the more long armed simian almost ghoul postured hobgobs from the cancelled WC3 concept art better. WoW ones always seemed just plain redundant with Ogres.

Definitely a way more interesting interlude between acts 1 and 2 compared just seeing a grunt burn a post with dead bodies hanging from it.
