I look forward to seeing your thoughts on Glasgow.
Hello Lynne, Thank you kindly for sharing this valuable information (its great for other viewers reading the comments) - its very interesting indeed! Greatly appreciated 🥰
I do remember seeing the cone on the statue outside Register House in the early 70s when visiting school friends in Leith. Maybe it was just a student thing everywhere, that Glasgow has claimed, like the multiple origins of Tikka Masala?
@@brok328 you could be right, I know that the Duke of Wellington one in Glasgow has pretty much been a permanent addition since the early 80’s, so was probably something that started much earlier. I know that it seemed a pretty common sight for there to be traffic cones on statues throughout my childhood and youth…I was born in the mid 70’s.
I grew up 16 miles west of Glasgow on the south side and your right its stunning but very over looked, your right about the cone, the council kept removing it but it would just appear as if by magic.
Edinburgh's, "New Town" is over 300 years old. Our idea of "New" is slightly different from most other countries lol. I'm glad you enjoyed your wee stay in Edinburgh. It's a really welcoming city (as all cities should be). Plus, you must have felt quite at home cos half of your countrymen/women work in the pubs here.
Heya John! Yes Edinburgh is a brilliant city, wonderful people (didn't meet one Aussie there would you believe it!) architecture, history, parks, food etc we'll definitely be back! Thanks for watching 😀
3:10 That street is Cockburn street is what J.K Rowling based Diagon Alley on in Harry potter. She wrote most of the initial books in Edinburgh. Wife and I spent a few days in Edinburgh before a driving tour of the highlands few years back. We both really cannot wait to go back.
@@KristyandSteve Get Steve to try The Glenlivet Nadurra neat. It may be cask strength, but it is so smooth that no "pretend face" is needed. One of my favourite Scotch whiskies. As for Irish whiskey yes, very very good, but a long time ago I had a youngish Irish couple who always brought me a bottle of native brew poteen or poitin distillled by an old hand when they came for their 6 monthly checkup and that was magnificent. Smooth rocket fuel that I really adored. 😅😅 Needless to say the checkups were free!!
Haha we're from Melbourne so used to 4 seasons in 1 day 🤣 We were blessed to have such great weather throughout our month long stay in the UK, think it only rained 1 or 2 days for a few hours each time. Thanks for watching guys 🤗
Edinburgh is amazing! Anja used to live there for 5 years. We think you guys did an amazing job of showing how majestic it is. It really is such a fairy tale type of city. And totally agree..haggis is delicious..😋 Totally jealous of all that Scottish whisky. Whisky is actually my top choice. Does that mean I'm becoming old and refined? 😂 Cheers, guys! 🍻
Heya Brandon & Anja! Thanks so much, really appreciate it! Oh its such an extremely beautiful and photogenic city so we really didnt have to do too much to showcase it, spoke for itself❤️ Haha yes, absolutely you are (I wont say old) but certainly refined 👌🏽🥃 Thanks guys!!!
Very nice film you both come across well .I eat Haggis once a week sometimes from the chip shop /sometimes from my local butchers who all have their secret recipe also Black Pudding once a week .and porridge a couple of days a week .
This popped up on my recommended, so glad you had a good time! ❤️ From Glasgow but been through to Edinburgh many times For viewers at home, alongside the haggis was turnips (the orange), and mashed potatoes. Haggis, neeps and tatties usually come together. The sauce was peppercorn sauce that you often eat with it - it’s sort of spicy/milky in texture 😊 Highly recommend!
Hello! 👋 Thanks so much! We loved our time in Edinburgh, cant wait to go back one day and see more of Scotland 🏴 Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment ☺️
Great food and drink tour guys. Haggis is morish to eat and your face Kristy. We remember your Japanese food exploits!! At least this one was clean except the Bog selfie.
Americano white, always, if I can’t get a filter coffee. You hit it just right this September. It was a little windy, but mostly (and untypically) warm and sunny, without big summer crowds.
Love the different coffee variations around the world! We would never order an americano with milk in Oz, so interesting! Yes the weather in Scotland was absolutely perfect. We got very lucky, such a breathtakingly beautiful part of the world ❤️ Thanks for watching Steven!
Does it not make you wonder, how they built the churches and stuff 900 years ago, with no machinery, having to get the stone carve it, put the roof struts in place, I think in todays world, with all the tech, whether they could build that today, with the same detail, and in the same time span
Its absolutely mind blowing isn't it! The preservation and maintenance of the buildings over the years is one thing, but the planning and design methods of them in the early stages is so incredibly fascinating and interesting. We were frequently overwhelmed just strolling around the old town, its magnificent!
Hi Steve and kristy, Steve i would have been the same as you in the Cathedral bumping into people as the ceiling was breathtaking and the stained glass, I must go up there one day, I'm about 35 miles south of London and about 5 miles from Windsor Castle, I've been a butcher now for 28 years and i have to say that i love haggis we don't make it in our shop but we order it from a family business in Edinburgh, glad you got better quickly Steve and kristy you do a brilliant job doing the talk over and obviously the research, stay safe guys and god bless 🙏
Thank you so much Sean! We were really surprised how much we enjoyed the haggis. We tried it again in a meatball form whilst visiting Inverness (in next Sundays vlog), wasnt anywhere near as good as what we had in Edinburgh though.
Have you been to York? When I visited the city. I stood in a place called the Shambles, I could swear I was transported back to the 18th century and could see the people of the time going about their business.
Funny you said about Haggis and Auz meat pie. My long lost relly moved from Scotland to Auz and started the biggest meat pie company in Auz, so thats why they are similer probably.
Trying to find out not easy with me being the oldest in the famly. I was born in Perth WA. I do know after the Jacobean rising in 1760 3 sons were given 500 sheep and a set of furniture and told to start new. One went to Canada, one Auz and my one went to the Falkland Islands. We still have a HUGE desk from then, its bean to Argenteana, Canada, Auz and back to Scotland, but where are the other 2? Also my Clan is the most masicard Clan in Scotland and we cant use our famly crest its too ehummmmm. Actualy apart from my body keeps trying to kill me its amazing im here anyway.@@KristyandSteve
“I’m just looking at…, I’m just looking” “Do you want an ice cream ?” “I don’t know…maybe”. 😂😆🤣🥰 Loved this bit. Great video as always from you both 👏🏻👏🏻
best way to think of Haggis is ignore the list of contents and think of it as a 'loose' meatloaf' incidentally for those squeamish about black pudding, Scottish White Pudding is basically the same recipe but....no blood 😇
Haggis are actually small four legged mammals. They've evolved to have legs shorter on one side than the other to run around mountains. I'm not a Scot, so don't know whether there are seperate species for clockwise and counterclockwise
Great dish isnt it (especially with the whiskey sauce!) We've had fried mars bars many times in Australia - they're very popular at our fish and chip shops ☺️
@@KristyandSteve Yeah, I managed to get a full English here in Taipei, but it's not the same, close enough but they have to use a few substitute items and no black pud. I have only ever tried a fried mars bar once and it was more mega than I ever expected.
Edinburgh is my 2nd favourite city in the UK, the 1st being Liverpool, but thats because it's my home city. Dont know if you are still travelling around the UK and will visit Liverpool at all.
Hello! We didnt make it to Liverpool unfortunately. We were considering taking a day trip from Manchester but realised a few hours wouldnt do it justice. Thank you for watching 😀
I’m sure ( as a Glaswegian ) that the cone on statue started in Glasgow. The statue of the Duke of Wellington outside the Stirling Library in Queen St has had a cone stuck on the old fellas head for as long as I can remember ( probably pissed up students started it ).I think the authorities tried initially to remove the cones ,but they were soon put back up again.I believe now it’s been totally accepted and you can find postcards and T- shirts etc with the image on. I design and sell t shirts myself and have used the image. Great vid. Cheers
We LOVE the UK pub culture! The history of some of the pubs we went to, was incredible. The dark wood, low ceilings, timber beams and warm(ish) beer feels so cosy and inviting and I think the culture of pubs in the UK reflect more of a local and community feeling. Although a lot of pubs in country Australia are like that to, its not really the same - we do have some pretty awesome beer gardens in Oz (probably due to the slightly better weather than the UK)
For the uninitiated, Haggis is definitely a mind-set thing. For Americans. a lot of the ingredients, like the Pluck, Offal etc are banned by their FDA (mainly due to their Food Safety being so poor). so their immediate reaction is to turn up their nose, before appreciating the richness of the dish. They also dont eat a lot of lamb, so their palates arent used to the earthiness and richness of the meat and the spices. For those of us in the UK & Australia, lamb/mutton and offal is more commonplace in our diet & we are used to the more savory aspects of dishes. Plus we have a harder mindset, so can see past the ingredients to just enjoy the dish
anyway great channel great vlogs great editing as well, and a lovely couple enjoying the world, great stuff. if you ever find yourself in the north east, give me a shout,
Haggis Neeps and Tatties. Haggis. mashed Turnips. and mashed potatoes. Called Scotch Whiskey as it's made in Scotland mabye you will visit one of the many whiskey distilleries during Ur tour if Scotland Enjoy 😅😅😅
A Haggis is actually a very tiny English person that we hunt in the winter here in Scotland , they look like Hobbits and taste so good , i like extra black pepper on mine , with the best in world Scottish Whisky , tasty little things ,
Steve. Look up Richard paterson. Top whisky man. He will show how to engage. Nose. Taste. Drink. Ever tasted a £2m whisky. 1 guy did. 65 years old. Great videos guys.❤
That’s funny. I’ve been to the Harry Potter castle where Hogwarts is located and they filmed the race on witch’s brooms-It’s Alnwick Castle in England.
re 18:55...... - Scotland has six whisky regions, Highlands, Speyside, Lowlands, Campbeltown, Islay and Islands. - Speyside is by far the most extensive whisky-producing region in Scotland !
Youre a little bit late for enjoying the best of Scotland. Weather can be an issue, sure, but it's not the main reason that attracts ME to Scotland. At midsumner, it's not "how long is your day" - it's - "how long do we have in bed before it gets light again". After your evening meal, you can STILL go out travelling and see everything.! So you get to see twice as much.!
1:40 Never mind milk in an Americano; you should try it with pouring cream. Delicious! This video was great. As someone born and bred in Auld Reekie it’s rather easy to forget how lovely it is and take it for granted, so it’s nice to refresh my vision through others’ eyes. Most of it’s lovely. Just don’t mention the street side of Princes St! They ruined that and now it’s lost forever. It reminds me of a mouth full of gappy, bad teeth. Check the old photos to see just how architecturally harmonious and beautiful it was just 100 years ago! 👍 (Edit: not sure if you’ve done much touring around Europe but there are just as beautiful - if not _more_ beautiful! - ‘filmsetesque’ cities. Off the top of my head: Seville, Segovia, Rome, Prague, Salamanca, Avignon, Arles, Krakow, Florence, Lucca etc etc. Italy, France and Spain literally have dozens of towns/cities easily on a par with Edinburgh. I _will_ say this about Reekie, though: it’s one of a kind in terms of how it looks!)
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! We completely agree, there are some incredibly beautiful cities dotted throughout Europe ❤️
be REALLY careful around gypsys, theres a lot of nice ones but theres also a LOT of not nice ones that pretend to be nice to rob you. just always be careful and aware aroudn them. @@KristyandSteve
Its amazing how things have changed in Scotland. The Scots used to cross the border to fight the English, now they cross the border to speak there mind. Scottish men used to wear there kilts with pride in parades but pride parades have a different meaning these days.
I was definitely there in 2005 main street flinders Street and passing through the airport in 2006 my uncle lives in wollongong nsw about one hour on a train south of Sydney
Hi Robert! We stopped by Glasgow to pick up a campervan (back in September) - great city from what we saw of it! Would love to come back and see Glasgow properly 🏴 Is that where you are from?
people are so strange about foods like haggis haha, they hear a story and assume the worst when half the food they eat at fast food is battered meat paste made of all the leftovers. Chances are if you take animal meat and cook it, its going to taste like animal meat.
At the start, when you say you feel like you're walking through a movie set, that was actually the street that Digon Alley was based on. The Elephant Room, that claims it's where the first HP bok was written isn't exactly true. They pay a lot of money the her estate, to say that. most of it was written down the road, at a place called Spoons. Interestingly, both places are just by an area called Potterrow. You must have been staying close to me as I can see Summerhall, just behind you, on the Meadows. I've lived in Australia and I think you have it right, steak and pepper. offal is an amazing and cheap food, Haggis is very peppery. Eat an animal ear to tail. Don't waste anything. It only tastes bad due to social conditioning.
The cones on the heads of statues is normally a sign of disrespect/ a silent protest. You generally find them on the heads of people who historically are not to be celebrated such a wealthy merchants/lords/dukes/generals etc who for example made their money from slave trade or perhaps were notoriuosly cruel or callous iñ battle not only to the enemy but also to their own soldiers.

I think you made the right decision in not going to Edinburgh castle. It’s all about military history. Stirling castle is better for history of folks and royals.
Yes we were happy with our decision to not enter Edinburgh Castle. Craigmillar Castle was fabulous and we absolutely recommend to visit here if anyone is travelling to Edinburgh. We'll have to check out Stirling Castle next time we're in Scotland ☺️ Thank you for watching!
Neeps and tatties are turnips and potatoes. Haggis is essentiqlly a sausage, but too herby for me. And im not a fan of organs and offal. Anyway, got a sub from me! Hello!
long black is espresso into water.. The americano is water in espresso and in my opinion questionable therefore barristers will offer milk as it shows a lack of taste :)
Edinburgh is a lovely city with all the old architecture. Unlike Cardiff, where the council likes to give permission to tear down historical buildings so that companies can build modern day, ugly monstrosities in their place. 🙄
19:30 It's turnip (or Neeps in Scots), the whole thing is "Haggis, Neeps and Tatties", by the way, whoever gave you a sauce with it should be deported.
Going to Edinburgh and just standing outside the without going inside is like going to your best friends house for dinner eating the starter then leaving after half an hour. You'll miss so much👎
Oh we missed A LOT! Impossible to see such a big, beautiful and interesting city in just a few days. Didnt even scratch the surface. We will definitely revisit in the future ☺️
Love haggis and your reaction - BUT that steak thing was not a pie ! A real pie has pastry all the way round and is not a dish of stew with a pastry lid. It probably tasted good but not a pie.
Hi Martyn! Yes we thought a pie was fully encased in pastry to, must have been a modified version or something. It was really tasty nonetheless. Thanks so much for watching 😀
Unfortunately this ‘modified version’ has become very popular, due to being easy to produce. There are a few places left where you can get a genuine pie but they get fewer and fewer.
The waitress should have told you that malt whisky should have a very small dash of cold water added just prior to drinking which takes away the 'egg in the throat' feeling
Thank you for liking my home city.

Cheers Aiden, will let him know! ☺️
Great video! We went to Edinburgh a long time ago and loved it except experiencing 4 seasons in 1 day was a bit much 😂
Haha we're from Melbourne so used to 4 seasons in 1 day 🤣 We were blessed to have such great weather throughout our month long stay in the UK, think it only rained 1 or 2 days for a few hours each time.
Thanks for watching guys 🤗
Thanks for sharing your Edinburgh Scotland adventures exceptional New SUbscriber here 👍
Thank you ❤️
Edinburgh is amazing! Anja used to live there for 5 years. We think you guys did an amazing job of showing how majestic it is. It really is such a fairy tale type of city.
And totally agree..haggis is delicious..😋
Totally jealous of all that Scottish whisky. Whisky is actually my top choice. Does that mean I'm becoming old and refined? 😂
Cheers, guys! 🍻
Heya Brandon & Anja! Thanks so much, really appreciate it! Oh its such an extremely beautiful and photogenic city so we really didnt have to do too much to showcase it, spoke for itself❤️
Haha yes, absolutely you are (I wont say old) but certainly refined 👌🏽🥃
Thanks guys!!!
Kristy for someone who doesn’t like whisky your face when adding the whisky sauce said otherwise 😋😄
Haha I dont mind a slight "infusion" of whiskey...this sauce was spectacular 🤩
Single malts are the best and are very distinct via barrel type , locality and age ! , nothing will warm your cockles like whisky ❤️🏴
One year one and Steves still trying to acquire the taste for whiskey 🤣
I have baxters beetroot with my haggis, never had it with whiskey sauce, thats a bit posh for me, love from scotland.🏴
Could imagine beetroot and haggis being a good combination - Maybe you're on to something there!
Thanks Belinda 🏴❤️
hey folks ! welcome to Edinburgh !! - and thank you for your comments !! Great to see you !! XX
Thank you so much! Absolutely LOVED Edinburgh, incredible city ❤️
Parsnip and sweet potato. Bless you!
Thanks so much! 🙏❤️
Lol 😅
You should try drizzling a little whisky over the haggis. Often, it is served with a whisky sauce , but neat whisky is a good substitute.
Ooh sounds interesting! Would definitely give it a go 👍🏼
Very nice film you both come across well .I eat Haggis once a week sometimes from the chip shop /sometimes from my local butchers who all have their secret recipe also Black Pudding once a week .and porridge a couple of days a week .
Thanks so much! You're lucky to live in such a beautiful country, we LOVE Scotland so much! 🏴❤️
This popped up on my recommended, so glad you had a good time! ❤️ From Glasgow but been through to Edinburgh many times
For viewers at home, alongside the haggis was turnips (the orange), and mashed potatoes. Haggis, neeps and tatties usually come together. The sauce was peppercorn sauce that you often eat with it - it’s sort of spicy/milky in texture 😊 Highly recommend!
Hello! 👋
Thanks so much! We loved our time in Edinburgh, cant wait to go back one day and see more of Scotland 🏴
Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment ☺️
8:37 the ceiling is the national flower of Scotland, the thistle
Thank you 😊
Seeing the advert in the shop window made me think you should try some of the deep fried chocolate bars
Absolutely would have if we saw it! We've had fried Mars Bars before , some fish and chip shops in Australia have them - so good !
Loved seeing around Edinburgh ❤
Thanks so much Karen, appreciate you! ❤️❤️❤️
omg you went to cult coffee!! it's soo gooood
It was great! ❤️
Loved meeting you’s ❤
You guys MADE OUR DAY! So fun, thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I used to walk past Craigmiller castle every day on the way to work in the hospital.
What a beautiful walk you had! It was so incredibly surreal for us to see in person 🥰 Thank you for watching!
Great food and drink tour guys. Haggis is morish to eat and your face Kristy. We remember your Japanese food exploits!! At least this one was clean except the Bog selfie.
Hahahahaha it was a non-negotiable clip Steve just HAD to add in at the end 🤣 couldnt help himself
@@KristyandSteve thankfully he wasn't sitting down. 🤣🤣
Oh trust me, the raw footage showed more than anyone wants to see 🫣
Americano white, always, if I can’t get a filter coffee.
You hit it just right this September. It was a little windy, but mostly (and untypically) warm and sunny, without big summer crowds.
Love the different coffee variations around the world! We would never order an americano with milk in Oz, so interesting! Yes the weather in Scotland was absolutely perfect. We got very lucky, such a breathtakingly beautiful part of the world ❤️
Thanks for watching Steven!
@@KristyandSteve oh great I'll look forward to watching that 😊, stay safe both of you 🙏
Cheers Sean, have a great day ☀️ 🤗
Have you been to York? When I visited the city. I stood in a place called the Shambles, I could swear I was transported back to the 18th century and could see the people of the time going about their business.
Hi Neil! Unfortunately we didnt visit York this trip. Its definitely on the cards for when we return to England though
Great fellow Outlanders. 👍🏻👍🏻
❤️❤️❤️
Funny you said about Haggis and Auz meat pie. My long lost relly moved from Scotland to Auz and started the biggest meat pie company in Auz, so thats why they are similer probably.
Oh wow seriously? That's impressive! Which company? Definitely tastes similar, even down to the texture and spices - so yum!

Great video as always from you both 👏🏻👏🏻
🤣 Was a hard decision!
Thanks so much 🥰
Yeah I like you guys.
I'm gonna subscribe.
🎉
Thanks very much Patrick! 🥳❤️
best way to think of Haggis is ignore the list of contents and think of it as a 'loose' meatloaf' incidentally for those squeamish about black pudding, Scottish White Pudding is basically the same recipe but....no blood 😇
Wish we got to try white pudding while we were there! Would have been good to compare the two different types.
Thank you for watching ❤️
@KristyandSteve there is also one I don't quite get...Scottish fruit pudding not forgetting the Lorne or square sausage
Im going to have to google these ones hehe
Haggis are actually small four legged mammals. They've evolved to have legs shorter on one side than the other to run around mountains. I'm not a Scot, so don't know whether there are seperate species for clockwise and counterclockwise
Thought you were pulling our leg here until we googled it! Had no idea 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks for letting us know & watching 😀
I love Haggis, neeps, and tatties and I wish I could get them in Newcastle when I go home, shame you didn't try the famous fried Mars Bar.
Haha the fried mars bars are INTENSE hey! Taipei has some incredible food doesn't it, enjoy! We miss Taiwan a lot 🥰
Great vid.
Cheers
Woahhh really? Thats interesting! Very unique. Thanks for this info 😋
Thanks.
Enjoy your travels .
Just curious, what do you think about the UK pub culture, compared to where you guys are from
We LOVE the UK pub culture!
Castle tour can u pay the day of OR do u have to plan days ahead??
We just paid on the day, it was brilliant and well worth the visit ☺️
Love your positive outgoing attitude have subbed. Loved the look of that haggis & neeps dish. But definetely far too big a portion for me!
Thank you kindly, Anthony! Appreciate it 🥰
Very nice video.
Thank you Murray ☺️
Ach you guys should have come through to Scotland's best city....Glasgow!
We only had a few hours and from what we saw, we loved it! We'll have to revisit 🥰
@@KristyandSteve You'll have worked out I'm biased of course. E'burgh is a lovely city of course, we just don't admit it much to the Eastcoasters. 😂
Were you jet lagged when you recorded this hen? Edinbrum! 😂

@@KristyandSteve Just ignore me pal, I'm just a cheeky auld Glaswegian. 😜
Haggis is a great dish! You're correct in saying its a mind-set thing. Tastes like a meat pie from back home, absolutely delicious 👌🏽
anyway great channel great vlogs great editing as well, and a lovely couple enjoying the world, great stuff. if you ever find yourself in the north east, give me a shout,
Appreciate that Sean, thank you very much ❤️
Haggis Neeps and Tatties. Haggis. mashed Turnips. and mashed potatoes.
Called Scotch Whiskey as it's made in Scotland mabye you will visit one of the many whiskey distilleries during Ur tour if Scotland Enjoy 😅😅😅
Cheers Chris! 😀🥃
you should have tried Scotlands other drink irn bru :P
We tried it in our British snacks video ☺️
A Haggis is actually a very tiny English person that we hunt in the winter here in Scotland , they look like Hobbits and taste so good , i like extra black pepper on mine , with the best in world Scottish Whisky , tasty little things ,
Mmm wonder if tiny Aussies are just as delicious?- we'd put vegemite on them though and enjoy with a Fosters lager 🍺😅
Awesome couple and Humour , lots more for me to watch ty
Cheers Jonathan, appreciate that!
Steve. Look up Richard paterson. Top whisky man. He will show how to engage. Nose. Taste. Drink.
Ever tasted a £2m whisky. 1 guy did. 65 years old.
Great videos guys.❤
Cheers for the suggestion Malcolm, will check him out!

Amazing! Thanks for this information, Grant. Very much appreciated! Cheers 🥃
That sounds wonderful! We'll have to visit a month or two earlier next time (this was filmed start of September). Thanks for watching! ☺️
We completely agree, there are some incredibly beautiful cities dotted throughout Europe ❤️
yeah thak you for informing of my city that i lived in all my life okay
You're welcome, thanks for watching the video 😍
Would u recommend your airbnb??
Yes absolutely!

The trick to dragging your luggage over cobbles is having staff & preferably horse & cart ... Remember folks, don't be a convict (Australia)

i think those folks you met where gypsies, they sounded more irish than scotish, but im tired so may have misheard
Yes they said they were gypsies - so so lovely! 🥰

Its amazing how things have changed in Scotland. The Scots used to cross the border to fight the English, now they cross the border to speak there mind. Scottish men used to wear there kilts with pride in parades but pride parades have a different meaning these days.
Where you from australia I have travelled a lot of australia in 2oo5 , 2006 , 2007

I was definitely there in 2005 main street flinders Street and passing through the airport in 2006 my uncle lives in wollongong nsw about one hour on a train south of Sydney
Are you going to Glasgow to see the Glaswegian people
Hi Robert! We stopped by Glasgow to pick up a campervan (back in September) - great city from what we saw of it! Would love to come back and see Glasgow properly 🏴 Is that where you are from?
@@KristyandSteve no I am a proud English man from the west midlands
people are so strange about foods like haggis haha, they hear a story and assume the worst when half the food they eat at fast food is battered meat paste made of all the leftovers. Chances are if you take animal meat and cook it, its going to taste like animal meat.
Ha valid point!
You are lucky to live in such an incredibly beautiful city. Edinburgh blew us away with its spectacular architecture, loved it! 🥰
jk rowling was inspired by Edinburgh to write harry potter
Makes sense! Thanks for letting us know 🥰
The cones on the heads of statues is normally a sign of disrespect/ a silent protest. You generally find them on the heads of people who historically are not to be celebrated such a wealthy merchants/lords/dukes/generals etc who for example made their money from slave trade or perhaps were notoriuosly cruel or callous iñ battle not only to the enemy but also to their own soldiers.
Oooohhh right I see! Thank you for letting us know & for watching our video 🤗

Oh we missed A LOT! Impossible to see such a big, beautiful and interesting city in just a few days. Didnt even scratch the surface. We will definitely revisit in the future ☺️
@KristyandSteve the castle and its history enables you to make sense of the rest of the city and country.
Noted for next time, thank you !
Good to know this for next time, cheers Col!
