@@ebonylyn6104 it'll take more effort. For example you have to move the plant indoors during cold periods. This is quite easy when the plant is small but once it grows big, it becomes cumbersome. You even risk breaking off some roots in the process. But if you're determined you can pull this off by using a cart. If you have a greenhouse you can grow them without any worries. Hope this helps.
Thanks. The containers I use are about 2.5 gallons and they work very well. A bigger container will be better but if you plan to be moving the plant during cold weather then a similar size container or at most a 3 gallon container should be used.
You can water over the top at all times but only water through the sides when they're big and there's no chance of dirt splashing into the growing tip.
Hello sir I'm from the Philippines i plant more pineapples and grow well but i wonder the pineapple plants didn't produce slips. What's the problem with my pineapple sir?
One thing you should know is that not all pineapple varieties produce slips. Some produce only suckers and other produce both. Be sure your variety is the type that produces slips.
So growing a Pineapple is SO MUCH harder than I thought. I do not got ANY fertilizer, nor flowering spray and plus climate's mostly cool out in my area. Tried planting one last year, but died due to fungus (Was growing pretty good for no fertilizer until fungus took over.), and this year already drying up sadly. Let's see how it goes this year, if not, then will retry again next year!!!!

Thank you! This was so helpful! I am teaching my young son about plants and we are going to try this!

Thank you for this video, what if you live in an area that has all four seasons of weather? Is it worth planting pineapple?

Great video thank you
You're most welcome. Thanks as well.
I am trying to grow pineapples in containers because we get freezing temperatures here. How big are your containers? 3 or 5 gallons?
Very good video.

@@dr_obisgarden thanks!
We use cloth pots and slow release fertilizer
I'm not sure if you want me to water over the top of the pineapple plant or the sides?
Thank you

Hi Sir... Will pineapple grow over 35 degrees centigrade and over? Thanks
The best temperature for pineapple is between 20-30C. Although the plant can survive and grow at 35 C, fruit development will be affected.
Pull off lower leaves to get more roots

Put holes in plastic pots to let excess water out so roots won’t rot
Bruh, you have a very unorthodox technique that gave me ideas for my bugaloo plant (weed). However, I must ask... can your plants grow any bigger?

And taking care for parasites and infections, man, too hard for me. (But I will NEVER give up and KEEP ON TRYING!!!! That is the spirit!!!!)
I don't like or join because there are no subtitles in Hebrew.
