    I am 62 years old and have been playing golf for 12 years and have watched hundreds of videos, no one explained this simple method to make an efficient golf swing. I was an 11 index 3 months ago, now an 8 index by just tucking in my elbows to my body as Mr. Hogan explained and today i played with visual sticks like you explained for each of my shots and scored one of my best scores of 75. Thanks for explaining Mr Hogan's swing genius so effectively.

    Chris - this is my favorite video on your channel! Since following you, my handicap has dropped 3 strokes but I still couldn’t figure out the downswing sequence and how to rotate the torso. I tried it this morning with the 90’s and nailed it. Flush shots, one after another. Your channel fills in the gaps. Well done!

    Thinking about "getting the right shoulder moving", I totally forget about the hands and don't try to manipulate (the hands and arm). Very good "trick" feel.

    Hi chris. Had one session this morning with the 90's. Amazing result. Hit about 50 ball with 5 iron. Best ever for me. Lots of power. Flush. Baby fade. High shots. Hands came thru automatic. Been trying hogan for over 20 years. Never consistent. Following you for couple months now. Steady improvment and now this!! Thank you. Hope it lasts. I think it will. I have a clear idea now what to do. Cheers. Daryl de bruyn

    I have to give a big shout out to Chris. I threw those 90s down on the driving range today and just like you said, I found myself thinking, “Hmmm … that’s interesting … OK… That made a real difference.” I did just what you said and faced down the line and acted like I was swinging a baseball bat. Then I turned to the right and did the same thing down the 90° line and I felt exactly what you were describing. My right shoulder just naturally turned down to get into the right position to come up and meet/strike the baseball. Then when I turned back down the line and swang the club, I kept that same feeling of my right shoulder coming under and damn if wasn’t hitting the ball more consistently than I think I ever have. Then at the end of the day I went out onto the little executive course near my house and ended up shooting a 43, which for me is great! The whole turning the hips to the left and shooting the gun down the line, pointing the pistols to set the grip, letting my arms and wrists roll back naturally after the initial take away, and all of your other great ideas are really making a difference for me. You are the first person that has ever explained all of these things in a way that makes it easier for me to feel like the swing is more natural and that my body mechanics are working correctly. For anyone reading this, I just want to say that Chris really knows what the hell he’s talking about. Thank you, Chris. I’m really enjoying your videos, and I’m definitely learning a lot. 😊

    Like #152 here,,,, I’ve been waiting for someone to implement baseball swing elements into the golf swing. I just started about a year and a half ago at age 49 - lefty - and old baseball habits would rear its ugly head A LOT. I didn’t know how to combine the “golf” swing and my natural baseball instincts. I love this approach and will keep watching your videos,,, hopefully with good results to report soon. Thank you !

    I recognise when somebody has, shall we call it, special ability. Chris Hudson is one such person. If you listen without preconceptions you will come to realise that what appears to be complex is actually clear and concise. I’ve been a Hogan devotee since I can remember and the desire to be the best I can be is still strong. This is the only thing in my life I’ve persisted at. Now I finally have clubs 2 degrees flat that fit me and this site I am hopeful that at the age of 67 I can return to mid single figures once I finish my short game programme with a well known short game coach. I tell everyone about the only two coaches one needs.

  • @davidmcnamara3243

    This is very relevant.
    But I strongly believe that Hogan only had one swing feel
    And only one swing thought
    The thought was to feel his arms traps, delts, traps and pecs, so heavy in transition.
    The move was to keep his back to the target, as long as possible, with a rotated mass, just off balance.
    Then everything is automatic, controlled by the reactive brain!!!!

    • @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan
      @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan  9 месяцев назад +1

      He might have had only one swing thought, but all I am trying to help golfers do is establish the correct feels here. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

    • @edwardj3070
      @edwardj3070 9 месяцев назад

      yes but there are no moving parts to that swing separate from the rotation so that the back is only facing the target really before the down swing begins.(??) if the lower body starts it, the upper body follows immediately there isnt an unwinding from the bottom up it's all one piece.
      gotta say: I am 65 and i have never seen swing analysis like this. this will amaze my old golf teacher if i ever get to show him

    I used to attack the target line from the top which made me ott.
    But when i try to attack your trail 90 degree from the top, my brain boils on how square the club to the target 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉 and also straight follow through 😮
    Thank you chris ❤

    10:15 from this angle yes looks exactly how Hogan looked in transition... like the perfect posture to be able to generate power....but not obvious is the role of how you use your right shoulder here. i don't see how anyone would ever figure this out by themselves.

    Chris, 1. When you play, do you play "Hogan" or do you use another swing? And 2. With normal clubs (normal lie angle), don't you get a lot of dirt drag in the heel area of the club?

    I understand I am in the minority but these ar my feelings. I have been watching your videos for about two months and was almost convinced to join your program. I believe you are committed to what you teach, but understanding all he talk about the 90s, 8-6 and 6-4, and other such angles when I don't see any angles on Hogan's swing. It's probably my bad but it's going to take a better explanation to understand angles in the swing. I have been practicing about an hour a day for a month, but my scores are rising instead of going down.

      Chris, you should have million subscribers. Please keep on producing your video. I have watch hundred of RUclipsrs. They all great, but the swing was not sustainable . Some day I could swing the way they taught, the next day it’s different. I just found your videos 2 days ago and in the past 2 days for the first time I could hit the iron solid 90% already. Need to work on the driver next. Is the driver has the same swing? You know many RUclipsrs out there teach how to hang back, hit up, weight on the back foot and all kind of theories. Please advise. I am done listen to everyone else, I’ll stick with you now.

    Amazing feeling that feels natural. Sounds weird but moving the lead left foot forward vs. moving the trail right foot back just clicked for me. The angle concept made perfect sense especially comparing the baseball stance vs. the golfers stance. I've tried moving my left or right foot back in my stance but never attacked the right angle. Once I attacked the right angle, Bingo, the light bulb went on. another one of those aha moments Thanx Chris. 👍👍👍👍👍

    From top of BS to Impact is less than 1/4 second. No athlete can
    consciously control hands, arms, shoulders, hips etc etc during less than 1/4 second
    From top of BS to Impact can only be a subconscious , complex chain action initiated by a singular intention.
    Remember how effortless your ideal shot... Like driving a vehicle... it is subconscious.

    • @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan
      @NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan  8 месяцев назад

      What if you could be so precise and actually understand what your subconscious is seeing, how good could things really get? I know you might think I am crazy making a statement like that, but there is a true way to make it happen. way.

    • @dtgps
      @dtgps 8 месяцев назад

      Our brains process up to 11 million bits of information per second. Our conscious mind 40-60 bits of information per second. A complex chain action motion, repeats when initiated by a singular intention.
      Change any link within the chain action and the intention has to change.
      With over 200 bones in the body and countless muscle, no one can consciously initiate complex chain action movement.

      Let me guess: natural athlete all your life, excelled at all athletic endeavours.
      You dont need a degree in medicine, just google search:
      "The subconscious mind can process 20 000 000 bits of info per second. The conscious mind can only process 40 bits of info/sec. So the subconscious mind can process 500 000 time more what the conscious mind is able to."

    Like your stuff but not this one. The 90 degree rods are great but drop all the baseball but not really baseball swing stuff. It totally confuses and not everbody knows how to swing a bat anyway. Way too long and repetitive. Just refer to the rods and your trail shoulder . That's enough to absorb in 1 session
