I’ll mention him again but Bradley Hughes has a great video on hand path. Out is down, down is stuck
You should have a conversation with John Erickson about the Hogan swing

Yes, I've talked to Brad on the phone and it'd be a great convo. I should reach out to John Erickson.

According to Moe the move into the left knee creates the vertical drop. more lateral move?

      Thanks. I’ll explore that. 🙌🏻

I agree 100 percent! The facts are that the preset sitting on the stool with heavy buttocks allows for the lateral springy knees for both Ben Hogan and Moe Norman to fascinate the 20 degree clockwise vertical dropping of the trail shoulder thus immediately dropping their club head into its plane to be squared at least 4 inches past their ball. Christopher now throwing his club head down at his ball causes him to immediately exit left or digging down too much into the ground giving up his original 4 inches of his club head being squared past his ball. 😢

Really like this exploration and effort to refine. Do you still feel the throw down along with the swinging around your body? There was one day on the range mid-summer this year where I feel like I was doing what you're talking about here. It was after the Fitzpatrick content. He really rolls it open on the way back but gets vertical later, I think. Maybe, a deep dive comparison of Hogan and Fitzpatrick to determine similarities and differences would be interesting.

Christo, check your understanding of toe hang vs face balanced putters. The toe hang putters have more weight in the toe which adds inertia to the toe to slow the radial closure rate for more severe arc type putters.

Hi Christo why are you giving up your magical square club head 4 inches post impact from your ball by trying to immediately exit left now? It makes no sense to me😳
Your video clearly shows Ben Hogan initiated his downswing in his a sitting position with heavy buttocks and springy knees In conjunction with a vertical dropping of his trail shoulder 20 degrees down clockwise ( not over counterclockwise). Those two conscious moves together shallowed his club into its plane of action against his ball and kept his club head four inches square post impact from his ball. Cheers

That first clip is Hogan at Oak Hill1956
His '53 swing....the most efficient ever. IMO
Swing at the 9:30 mark is the 67 Masters....Hogan is 54 years old at the time. (shot 30 on the inward 9)
Hogan bent his irons 4 degrees flat, so I've heard.
Knuckles down lead hand (supination) tips the club out and covers the ball....prevents chicken wing
Knuckles down and cleared lead hip...the winning combo IMO

Certainly and for sure....Hogan is on his lead side at the top of the swing......loaded left, braced right

Have you done any vids on green side chipping. Hogan’s technique, your thoughts on chipping? Maybe I missed it.

Nice! What handicap are you playing off now? And are you able to take this swing to the course!

When I do the Hogan 'roll', going back and through, I do best when I continue to roll 'open' going back while I transition my weight and lower body going forward. So I'm going two directions
at once in the transition. I have the feeling that I'm still going to the right in the 'upper' while moving target-ward in the 'lower'. Always the emphasis is on achieving supination in both arms. The two direction feel 'flattens' the shaft.

Have a look at Stan Leonard videos … he was Hogan’s partner in matches when Ben plated up North.

Check what you are doing with your left wrist when you are almost at the top. This is the crossroads. You are shutting down the blade or clubface more like a Trevino action. You have missed the under part of the swing that Mr. Player talks about. Mr. Hogan had a banana shape divot and very thin as you have picked up. It is that point in your current swing that needs to be examined. I am not your teacher paid or not paid but a teacher and one of your subscribers. That is the only thing that you need to work on. Mr. Hogan and George Knudson used a different lower and upper body setup that the Modern teachers use. I have written about this and have told you about it. That is ok. You will get this. Your swing will be sterling. Just commenting on your development of your great action. Hang in there Christo.

Thank you, and always appreciated. I hope you can appreciate receiving this level of instruction from half a dozen highly knowledgeable Hogan folks constantly. It's very challenging to listen and try to implement everything I'm being told to do.

Stop what you say is the Hogan Roll. You got it now. Keep one swing. Your iron swing with your longer clubs. You got it. Don't bow the left wrist consciously. You will shank. I did mention this to you some time ago. You are really doing beautifully. Hang in there. Do that little baseball swing that you mention. It is not in front of you and around, it is more like a Cory Pavin or what I have written about and told you as the inside up and under with the concept of the inside figure 8 shape swing. When you get this, you will be unstoppable. I have over 60 years of study on this topic. I may come off arrogant. I don't mean to. I am cheering you on. You are a extremely hard worker. You are one of the very few that have thought about these things and have the capability and resources to perform and teach these concepts. I applaud you all the way.
