Just bought a cream legbar rooster. He is very attentive, pretty tame with us (even toddlers), and is a good breeder. He was comfortable right away with us too.
I have had 5 cream Leg bar hens for a year now. First of all I admire them. They lay a medium size Very blue egg. Lay rate is about 4 to 5 per hen per week. They actually seem to be efficient as they seem to eat very little. They are about 3.4 lbs weight. They are very quiet. They are not avoident in temperament but are not friendly either they will approach me for treats but other wise they keep their distance. They are all healthy. I keep them in a 20 by 10 pen. Otherwise they would be eaten in a day by varments. So, on a friendly scale of an buff Orpington being a ten, I give them a five. On a laying scale with a Austrolorp being a ten I give them a 6. On a scale of being a blue colour egg, well I give them a 10.
One of my rare assortment chicks looks like this, but thought she was an egger of some sort, has the crest and the blue feathering - very unique voice too. But I think Eggers share the same blue-egg parent.
"Eggers" i.e. easter eggers, are mutts. a more correct term would be to call these a "strain" of just regular chickens, and work on the traits you want to refine.
I wanted to confirm. I buy them pricey and i thought they dye it. Silly me. Lol Their taste are lovely though. Thank you for the video, very informative esp for someone like me born in town and have no idea about farm life
I have a hen of medium size which is a poor layer, nacked necked and has a clearly visible crest I live in India so can you please tell me which breed is this
I'm so disappointed of her personality, very shy and distant, I just can't make her trust me or make her eat from my hand I'm selling her because I want only friendly breeds in my backyard

A lot of websites say, that they don't breed at all and some say that they rarely do. How come my cream legbar did only after a few weeks?

I don't actually own these animals. Do a DuckDuckGo.com search to find a breeder in your region.

Is yours loud/noisy like this video said?
My Legbar is the sweetest bird in my flock. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
I have 4 chickens ,only one cream legbar, she was nervous at first but now shes very friendly. She has a distinct voice and is quite a talker now
Did you get her as a baby or a full grown hen as that makes a huge difference
