The S in Salvation’s Grip stands for S Tier
If you don't main Salvation's Grip, you are not a valid human being.
The b in salvations grip stands for bad
Salvation's drip stay on top
And the g stands for God killer
S for shit
something about Bump in the Night not a lot of people know about is that there is a unique interaction with chill clip and wolfpack rounds. The wolfpack rounds have their own individual chill clip, which basically means that the target is constantly being frozen/shattered. It makes for some solid dps
Thats actually dope af, did not know that
do not tell this to Bungie
Bump with Demo/vorpal es great for damage in solo activities with builds that are able to get their nades fast (Don't tell bungie)
Palmyra rocket rolls it too, plus you can craft whatever supporting perks you want with it. Right now I’m running auto loading/chill clip. Super fun!
@United States Department of Homeland Security Gjallahorn's exotic perk, cluster rockets on crack
Riptide is beyond underrated. Auto loading with chill clip is very useful for ad control. I got accelerated and charge masterwork so I can spam a few shots to freeze a champion and nearby ads and it’s very useful
riptide is love, it's amazing for adclear on all levels of content, only thing that can make it better is having demo chill clip like the one from VotD but guess we can't have that much power on a easily obtainable weapon
Deliverance is good but riptide can deal more dps over all. Auto loading means no reload plus rip tide has more in the mag and over 200 faster charge time so your landing more shots way faster then deliverance then u can swap back to a fully loaded rip tide
Was just about to comment this same thing. Riptide is arguably S tier.
@@JH-vb1wo the nice thing about the demo deliverance is that you can pair it up with a shade finder for a crazy amount of turrets
yeah chill clip is crazy good. i would prefer having the gl though
This is an awesome tier list. Very well done. I think I would only disagree on the Herod-C and Lunulata placements. I have a subsistence / demo Herod-C that I like for stasis grenade builds. I find it quite useful to that end. plus it has the added damage to stasis crystals thanks to the a Hakke origin trait. As far as the Lunulata, headstone shatter damage can stun champions provided that an anti-champion bow mod is present on the seasonal artifact. Which, you can just use a fully drawn arrow to do that, but the added utility is kinda neat. I mainly like it for triggering whisper of shards from across the map on harder content. I do wish it was a precision frame, though. I think I'd just bump those two up to B tier since they do have some practical and niche uses and functionality depending on your build.
A bit late, but I think something that is overlooked a lot with Herod-C is that it is also a Häkke arms weapon, it breaks stasis crystals in 2 hits often instant shattering its own headstone crystals in mobs
If built into, Recurrent Impact can replace your primary weapon for end game content. Using enhanced field prep and double reserves mods, I can get like 760 rounds, with enhanced headstone being my damage perk. Pairing it's origin trait with Precious Scars dramatically boosts your survivability. Running double special is a ton of fun with this gun and it's served me well
Chain of Command belongs in A tier IMO. The Osmosis/Demo combination works amazingly well in dual-special setups on nearly every subclass. I mostly use it on starfire builds with witherhoard and a fusion or wave frame, but it's been solid for me on arc as well.
Bro you are honestly my go to guy to see if I’ve got a good role on stuff! Thanks so much for everything you do for the community :)
I love stasis a ton. It synergies so good with weapons
lingering dread and new purpose gotta be swapped… adaptive munitions on a kinetic slot weapon is huge and chill clip on a breech gl is good in theory but it only procs on direct impact and it takes 2 shots to freeze. if it worked w prox nades or smth similar it could be good, and the concept of it is super exciting but it isn’t good given how chill clip works on GLs
I managed to get something new with feeding frenzy, headstone massively decreasing the reload as well as a reload masterwork with flared magwell I got it the day before summer solstice ended so lucky!
I do agree eyesluna is 100% go to but fun to pull out something new during weekly strikes and mess around.
I actually think 360 autos feel really good now with high stability. False Promises and Chrysura Melo hit REALLY hard. They just shoot slow. But if you’re in an activity where there is range involved, they’re not a bad option.
I have yet to try Age Old Bond tho…
Great list! but to be honest this list just highlighted to me that even after so long after stasis' release we have a HUGE scarcity of stasis exotics. All the other subclasses have so many energy exotics that synergize with their subclass (alot more that should. (looking at you polaris lance not applying scorch). I hope bungie starts to add more to this starving exotic type.
Nice to see Krait so high. I got a subsistence headstone roll Krait near the start of witch queen and it's still my go to legendary auto rifle.
Left click attacks with cold steel on Zephyr procs grim harvest for Hunters. There's certain loadouts where you can get overshield/ability energy while running around stabbing stuff.
Thanks for the tier list. Just rolled back to stasis on my hunter so was very helpful!
I actually use(d, back when Gyrfalcon’s wasn’t disabled) Fractethyst in PvE! Stylish Executioner + Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk + Trench Barrel is a ~2.33x damage multiplier, which actually lets you one-shot the Blightguards on Totems.
Yeah, gotta agree with this. I have the Trench barrel, lead from gold roll and for master content I really don't see it having much competition. The precision frames bring a big chunk of extra damage over lightweights and still feel sharp unlike the high impacts. Radiant+Trench barrel allows for a two tap on those knights as well which when xeno users where having to spam 4 shots made me appreciate how much damage they can put out
i cant wait for the algorithm to really pick you up, your content is so thorough its super reliable and some of my favourite in the community
Awesome video sir! In reference to heavy GLs not being great for a while, you forgot about the 12 hours at the beginning of the season where they were getting insane damage from the accidental over-buff lol. The only time since I've started playing I've pulled one out 😅
Weirdly enough I love Fractethyst, slideshot with opening shot just destroys alongside my Stasia build, honestly I will always love it
Fractethyst is one of my favorite shotguns for PvP tbh. It just all around feels great
My biggest qualm is Lunulata; If you're using a bow rate of fire is basicly the last thing you're worrying about but has the role of a primary sniper. With Headstone, on most red bars you end up killing in a single shot, and can detonate the crystal on your own at any point. Then add on Rangefinder, and it gains more accuracy and helps it feel better. Also with the Viest Stinger origin trait, you can get really quick shots if you actually want a faster draw time.
I had to check and see where you put Ager's, it's amazing, started using it in kings fall, and after realizing it was pretty good decided to make a stasis build and it's been great
Good time for this. Feel like without the hype of 3.0, a lot of people will experiment and go back to stasis and realise the amazing PvE play of Stasis still
stasis feels like such a sleeper pick surprisingly. it’s extremely good in end game pve.
@@FAUXCUSpd good in endgame, which not all subclasses are.
And extremely fun I find.
@@silverwolf2761 ice flare bolts 😩
Just checked my subbed feed good to see your still making vids! I watched ur stw stuff AGES ago best of luck on your RUclips career
Dope AF! Thanks for putting this together
Added thing on Ager's its quite useful in vault of glass during most of the encounters. Not many know that about it an wasnt mentioned as good portion of that raid i run the scepter. As using Will of its own, from catalyst, you can melt any wyvern solo without help on cost of your super.
I have a Krait with arrowhead/accurized/ subsistence/headstone/range and I threw a backup bag in it for 72 total starting mag, and then I just chunk thru entire groups of ads with headstone, constantly refreshing my mag with sub and triggering stinger over and over from the amount of bullets down range and I swear I did an entire Altars wave without stopping firing ONCE.
I think Herod C is A Tier. It has the damage and range. With vorpal, it shreds champions.
It has a hard time killing trash enemies unless you freeze them first. But, you're hopefully doing that anyway.
eyesluna with unrelenting headstone is my fav weapon in the game, it was my first roll of the weapon i got and it’s just amazing. you can use it in literally any activity and its probably imo the best primary
Hey it was my eYasluna first drop as well! I knew I just skipped a whole lot of extra grindy hours to get this weapon for free lol. The way it paired with HoiL and behemoth was just a thing of concentrated beauty… I’ll never delete mine
Haven't watched any more than the intro, but I respect and support the grind man. Liked, already subbed, and here's the comment. Big fan of stasis so I'm here for the whole vid, let's get it.
I found squilliams terminus surprisingly good in pvp lol. Random red box I was leveling felt solid
Great video, thanks for all that you do!
demonjoe: *Puts Recurrent Impact at C*
Me with my crafted level 50+ god roll with enhanced Sub and Frenzy with a Gambit memento: Excuse me wot? How dare you.
Cool video. Can't wait for the other elements.
Only thing I will actually disagree with here is the Deliverence not being S-tier or A-tier. The combo of Demo/chill clip synergizes so god damn well with a warlock stasis build and makes turret spamming actually viable in endgame content. Remember that on special weapons, demo gives 20% grenade energy instead of 10. pairing that with chill clip to ensure either massive super regen, stasis shards for more synergy or rift energy to give yourself even more grenade energy and survivability, I’d say it should be at the top of guns being should want to get crafted.
It makes me happy that at least someone out there is able to say that Salvation's Grip is only bad in combat.
As much as people say it sucks as an exotic and was only useful in two missions, it's not a bad weapon at all.
I don't use it to DPS or fight like most players would like an exotic to do, but instead I use it for defensive and supportive building.
It's a lot more fun to use that way, just as anyone else would use Divinity or Tractor Cannon. I'll swear on my account that it's helped saved lives and at least boosted one random in an event at one point (I wish I kept the message they sent, but I was an idiot and butterfingered the F11 button instead of screenshot).
If you told me "it's not useful *for* combat uses", then I'd agree. It lacks any form of useful damage, even for add clear (which isn't all bad, but could be bigger like Riptide or Ager's Scepter could).
If you told me "It's not useful *at all*," then I'd call you a liar and will stand my ground.
The community can hate me if they'd like, but I'll be the one guardian who keeps others alive with the barricade building and stasis boosts.
That aside, I do feel like a fool for not giving Blood Feud and No Reprieve weapons a shot. I thought they weren't as strong, but I'm happy to learn from Joe that I've been neglecting some A-tier weapons this whole time.
And Krait almost feels like it should be in the S-tier for how many times it saved my life with the Veist random reload! Needs more appreciation!
But abilities can do everything the gun can a better and without using heavy.. not hating on you just interested. A hoarcross z Titan will have constant up time on crystal nades and barricade and apply both faster than the grip can shoot
@@minkernator As a genuine response to your comment: I mostly play warlock (and have a titan without stasis), so having this as a backup when I know I don't need heavy DPS is surprisingly doable alternative.
You are correct, though. Titans (And at most times the Headstone perk) can do better than SG in terms of generating stasis. It's just funny to see other guardians look at me when I use SG during Plunder and Dares. XD
Joke response: "But.... But meme gun!"
@@TheMrMayo I'm a huge fan of stasis and tbh this conversation has reminded of the existence of Salvation's Grip so I'm gonna have to take it out for a spin!
i use a feeding frenzy/vorpal riptide pretty often in pve and its super fun
My favorite roll on something new is Stats for all/ headstone. Get the shatter damage onto two other targets got sfa active. Helps boost everything that feels bad about 120s. Literally my fav PvE 120 ever
Thank you for your hard work, it was on point.
Personally think bump in the night is underrated, really good with demo/chill clip with a young ahamkara tripmine/gunpowder gamble build
Golden Tricorn is amazing on the bow! Wish you would have given it a try especially if your spamming abilities on enemies
Great stuff Joe. Thank you.
As a fan of Stasis this is super helpful
I love the videos and streams keep up the hard work
I have so many clears of duality that I have the God roll for every other single weapon and got the exotic multiple times but still haven't seen a single lingering dread with chill clip even without blinding and a bad 3rd column perk
Great video! Really polished script! My 2 cents: I'd move Peacebond up, I dislike most sidearms, but honestly love this one. I'd also maybe even move Krait up to S-tier, lol. Question: with the recent balance changes, do you think Syncopation might move up a rank?
I actually recently discovered Agers in a search to boost the underwhelming damage output of Titan stasis. I found the super also kind of lacking so this with icefall mantle makes an interesting pairing. Icefalls give stasis surge stacks and upon activation provides a max tier of stasis surge. Agers also seems to deal with all 3 champions pretty well. Definitely a sleeper weapon for sure.
I had a Overflow Focused fury thoughtless to drop, and I never felt the need to farm and craft it lol It kinda slaps
Ager's (all trace rifles) also got the primary exptic buffs. Made an already fantastic gun a beast
Didn't even know unrelenting headstone was the godroll combo for eyeasluna. I've been low-key salty I never got the outlaw headstone but this changed my mind!
Thanks for this list Joe
Hey, just curious where verglas curve falls on this list here now that we have that. Trying to find a stasis exotic that I like for my hunter. I enjoy Agers for my warlock since warlock’s super is kinda mid anyways, so hoping to find a good option for my hunter. Considering the sidearm exotic, but maybe verglas is the play with a shatter dive hunter.
I love the Vulpecula, New Purpose, Lingering Dread and Ager’s Scepter so much.
good video bro, proud of the effort
Now... moving onto the stasis subclasses. What to focus for memory fragments? These quests are extremely tiring and I'm just 1 month into the game and have no idea on where to spend. Theory crafting will be much appreciated, along with some gameplay. Thanks! Also, any place where we can download the tier list?
I’ve got an eyesluna with unrelenting and headstone plus the masterwork is range too. It’s such an amazing roll for both pvp and pve. Definitely S tier for sure.
Thanks for the info.
Just found your vids after returning to destiny from D1. GOOD SHIT MAN
Thank you! 🙏
The first krait I got was headstone and it hasn’t left my inventory since
Excellent video as always senor demon
Zephyr is definitely A or S tier imo. Cold Steel + Grim Harvest + Elemental Shards + Font of Might + Elemental Charge + Lucent Blade is a *crazy* strong combo - boosting your damage over 60% *and* you can keep it up nearly indefinitely. Add in the ability to get shields from shards and it has high survive-ability as well. Mix this with Ager's and a fusion or blinding GL in the middle slot and you can kill something from a distance, get shards, and then run in and begin the slaughter.
Also about the bow - it's the only primary ammo weapon that can generate headstones and then pop them in a single shot with out needing the extra fragment. Not sure that moves it up much, but it pops headstones slightly faster than other kinetics due to that.
Love the stasis - nice job 😊
What shader do you have on chain of command?
great video as usual. demonjoe GOAT
I agreed with all of your picks including your feelings on 110 HCs, High-Impact Pulses and Rapid-Fire Machine Guns. Deliverance however is an easy S-Tier for me. Using Demo/Chill on a Quick Charge + Firepower Osmiomancy Turret build is easily the most busted thing you can do on a Shadebinder. Use it with Special Finisher as a Primary, I can put out 4+ turrets in Master and GM content with very little effort. You 100% need Deliverance if you want the spammiest turret build possible without having to sacrifice Iceflare bolts.
I know High-Impact autos are kinda trash but I really enjoy Herod. I have a Subsistence + Frenzy roll and it is a fair bit of fun.
Man, I love the diversity of Stasis weapons we now have, but I still have a soft spot for Peacebond.
First Iron Banner of Season of the Lost I got THE god roll, basically my first ever headstone gun and I abused that gun for 6 months straight. It felt sooo good.
Peacebond walked so that future stasis-kinetic weapons could fly.
Nice video I would rank typhoon higher however there is a niche stasis build that uses agers and typhoon for dps. A youtuber named Imagine made a video on it showing it can do 2.4m damage on 1 dps phase of warpriest. It's very niche but it puts out damage so I'd say B tier
You might want to redo that frac shotgun now 😂 love your builds.
Tbh salvations grip could be pretty good with a titan build but the thing is its both an exotic and power so it can even work for that because since its exotic no agers buff wnd no reed regret buff for power
I love the krait! I just got back into D2 and it's my favorite auto rifle
I knew I had a good roll!!! The stasis launcher with chill clip and auto loading!
Riptide is soooo good, I’ve been using it so much and tried switching to deliverance it’s been soo weird to get used to
Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for info.
Thanks for the video
Commenting to raise engagement, keep it up man!
Amazing video, but I found the forenic nightmare bit very funny. "is a good smg but finds its shortcomings in the form of its archetype, stats, and perk combinations". Thats literally everything about a weapon except for its element lmao
Typhoon gl5 I got strange roll: demolistion and wellspring.
Im curious to see what these rankings would like after the recent buffs.
I tried the Herod-C and after the buff the gun feels nice, definitely lower A or higher B tier. Might be because my roll has 92 range
What I call the Luna hand cannon got even better. Thing hits red bars like a truck.
I actually really like cryo. I started using it recently and actually really enjoy being able to freeze everything.
Chain of Command is also fun with osmosis, and volitle rounds, Kinda shreds
I think Eyasluna with outlaw and headstone it's a pretty damn good combination, been using it for a while now 😉
Indeed it is. The unrelenting headstone combo is not as great as he thinks. Unrelenting is just not enough of a health bump to forgo outlaw which gives you quicker reload to continue fighting. Also with hand cannons you can go in out of cover like in pvp to get your health regen.
Salvations grip is less a weapon and more a tool for your stasis subclass.
Its trash if you rate it as a heavy gl but its good if you build into the shatter.
That being said it needs a way to shatter the walls from range, switch grenade type or even do something completely unique.
I wonder if you'd rank Zephyr higher with Stasis Stronghold Titan?
And 'Something New' could be a minor slayer with Feeding Frenzy Heastone. Headstone plays into its Origin Trait perfectly as well. If you were lucky enough to get Armor piercing rounds as well the weapon is very powerful. I haven't taken it into GMs yet, so maybe not as viable there? It's also only one of two weapons with demolitionist wellspring.
I disagree with the something new rating but I can kinda see it as you need a super specific role on it. I have demo, wellspring, flared mag, reload master work. Takes the reload up to 50 and stops it from feeling so trash and makes it great for ability builds.
oh and btw for most plunder weapons enhanced surrounded+surrounded spec, is the highest damage perk in the game.
IMO Zephyr is S-tier for stronghold titans you can become an absolute avalanche of stasis with diamond lance, cold steel Zephyr, and Ager’s Scepter.
Can you maybe do and updated one for this ? :)
I had a friend say he had build using zephyr and he said he could put dps Lament with it I said prove it and got my arse handed to me at ghalran in duality
The only one you got wrong was riptide that thing is S tier, my lead from gold chill clip with a charge time master work is my favorite special.
Deliverance with chill clip/demo on renewal grasps revenant hunter clowns on every other stasis weapon. Grenade energy access to shards at will with chill clip allowing for use of elemental shards far more often. Also it's damage is quite solid, however if you hate build crafting and want a fusion to shoot thing with in the kinetic slot, riptide is the play. Both are S teir IMO, and deliverance being in B is defintly a stance I disagree with.
What's the build you used on titan for most of the stacis weapons? Looks like a lot of fun.
Hoarfrost w/ Elemental Shards, Time Dilation, and 3 Fonts 🧡
Thanks a lot!
Why am I so obsessed with your videos?
enhanced surrounded with surrounded spec is insane on no reprive btw
Salvations was an experimental weapon for how stasis weapons would work, and failed spectacularly. If it got a buff where it could cycle between stasis grenades, that would probably make it a better pock than it currently is.
Vulpecula feels so good on sticks. This is a B tier weapon
Ager’s scepter is still one of the most fun and unique weapons in the game, also riptide go brrrr🥶
It’s the only trace rifle I care about. Using it with stasis subclass feels like power
“Ladies and gennelmen, this vid-“ *already likes video* amazing content man. You’re such a great voice and asset in the D2 community!
Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a ton 🧡
Nice list
