When the lights go off you can turn them on, but it is all green so you can not see exact colors
Army Knife: Item
This item will randomly spawn in a storage room. Whenever you pick it up, you gain a 15 second immunity to the Impostor. If you are attacked by the Impostor then the knife can stop them. A way to bait an Impostor into revealing themselves.

Crewmates:
-[1] Smoke Bomb:
Creates a cloud of harmless gas. Slowly grows with time, but bigger clouds will be less effective. Lasts 10segs. Stuns for 2segs and disables Sight for 4segs. Affects everyone except the user and on the entire space on where it is used, but open areas render this weapon useless. On smaller spaces the cloud will act and grow faster. If used on a space with a Vent, all Vents are rendered useless until the 10segs pass. Crewmates can steal remaining smoke bombs from the corpses of other Crewmates. Impostors can't use this weapon or rob it, but can destroy them as if they've 'collected' it.
Impostors:
-[1] Camouflage:
Consume a Crewmate's corpse to activate this skill. On use, Camouflage's clock will start at 10 and decrease to 0 as long as this skill is being used. Only one Camouflage effect can be active at all times. When you stay still, you will be rendered invisible to other's Sight, but technology can still affect you. Consumed corpses will leave behind a Reportable pool of blood, and traces of [color] clothes. But, doing this will destroy any usable stuff on it.
Ghosts:

As a Ghost Crewmate, nearby living Crewmates will do Visual and Timed tasks with increased speed. When a Crisis occurs, staying in that space will grant a speed bonus to all players. Stay still inside a Sabotageble space to increase it's Crisis cooldown for all Impostors by 15%. Maximum to two Ghosts effect.
As a Ghost Impostor, each time you pass by a blockable door, speed up it's Sabotage gauge by a small amount. Stay still for one sec nearby or above a Vent to temporally make your Ghost visible and inflict Fear on all nearby living players. Has Short range. One Vent for Impostor. Everyone inflicted with Fear will be Stunned for 2segs and can't be 'Feared' again until 20segs pass. After the Stun, Crewmates weapons can't be used for 10segs. If a Crewmate ghost and an Impostor ghost are too nearby; cancel each other's effects, but neither of them will know the role of the other.
Everyone:

Rechargable at O2, Labs and Storages. Considered Optional Common Task. Does not fill up the Task Gauge. For 10segs the user will use it's back to have +0.5 to it's movement speed, but Sight is halved. If Stunned, loses the ability and must recharge again, but if killed, remains on the corpse until stolen by any living player.
-[1] Coffee Break:
Rechargeable at Caf and Offices. Considered Optional Short Task. Does not fill up the Task Gauge. For 30segs the user will have an added 10% bonus to Sight and movement speed. Being Stunned will negate the effects. After the 30segs, 10segs of -25% to Sight and after that, another 10segs of cooldown. Stackable to other effects.
-[1] GPS Chip:
Recharable at Communications or Labs. Only one can be present in each game. Considered Optional Long Task. Does not fill up the Task Gauge. The player makes a chip that acts at Short range. Upon contact with any living player, it is marked as a red dot on the map permanently. Only the maker knows the details. The effect lasts for 20segs. Effect lost inmediately if in contact with a Smoke Bomb, corpse consumed, used a Vent. The chip must be remade then.

“Shields”
Funcionality:creates a small radio around you for some seconds that keeps anyone away and cannot allow imposter to kill you
the bad thing is that your view will be somewhat decreased
Not-tested-potion: when you pick it, you have 50% of going a bit more fast than before for the entire round and the other 50% a bit more slow for the entire round

Armour: if the impostor tries to kill you, instead of dying you lose the armour, u wouldn't see the animation and next time you would die normally
But you know who the impostor is so it wouldnt fit the game

Timer:
Impostor item
When placed in electrical, reactor etc, after the timer runs out, a sabatoge will begin. The sabatoge has double effects/less time.
Reactor/Seismic Stabilizers: Less time to fix it
02: Less time and code changes from time to time
Lights: More dark
Communications: Cameras still aren't active for 15 seconds after sabatoge is fixed.
Mira hq vents : exists and are op
Me with wood: you picked the wrong map fool
What if you could throw a pokeball at a dead body and bring it back.
There would be a medic role and they would be the same as a crew mate but have only one pokeball
That would be broken. The impostor gets a clean kill, but the victim gets revived and rats out the person who killed them.

The Dead Ringer
Based on TF2
Can only be used by crewmates
Can be used once, when you are killed by the impostor you will appear like a normal ghost, but you have 30 seconds to respawn wherever you choose, when the 30 seconds expire or someone calls an meeting during the 30 seconds you are completely out of the match. You are not able to chat but can vote after using this item.

Hmmm how about.... Shrinking Pill: Can make the crewmate smaller so he can travel thru the vents and the crewmates get a notification when someone uses it like [ Purple used: Shrinking Pill] (also make the crewmate become mini crewmate lol

use: can be placed for more venting options and can be vented from Any vent and can be used by other imposters (if there you have a imposter teammate
another item idea: item box randomy opens to put down items
Number of items per box: 2-5
Interaction with players: when not yet opened players can push it around but you will be slower when doing so
but it cant block vents
Idea: portal
Only crewmates can go through portals and spawn at different locations and bring you to a different location aswell
Idea: Sniper. The imposter can kill any crew on the map at any range without the kill animation. Can only be used once.
I think the ghost traking one is too overpower the ghist can be near the imposter and yea

If someone is chasing you, you can use this item to shoot them(to kill them you need to shoot three times)
If you use this item you glow yellow.
the wood is good item you can block the vent in electrical maybe can save your life

U can fly out and in the map,and under or over the map
Useful for:
Seeing if imposter is in vent.
See if someone dies from out of the ship.

Paint:

Change your color. Is automatically activated if you kill someone and then another one reports instantly.

Item Idea : Shield
Can be used for : Crewmates
- Use this shield to protect yourself, if an Impostor tried to kill you, you won't die
- You only have 1 shield, it will be gone after a meeting, use it wisely
If you're lucky enough to find another shield, well, NOICE.
Lantern:
Creates a light aura around you, other crewmates can see it and take advantage of it, useful during a blackouts. (30 seconds duration)
you should make a trap item to put on venys so when imposter vents out they get stuck for 5, 10, 15 seconds, and a crewmate will be noitfyed that a imposter have fallen for the trap

Only used by crew mates
What it does:Once you wear the crown at any emergency meeting or report,and vote somebody,EVERYBODY will vote that person.
Item Ideas: Wires and Screwdriver
Wires: Found throughout the map, only crewmates are allowed to pick it up, can be attached to camera system, unlocking more cameras
Screwdriver: Found occasionally in weapons, only crewmates are able to use it/pick it up, allows you to unlock a door multiple times when they're closed
Imps only:extra vent
Description:Imposters can use this ability to start a vent any where and end a vent anywhere.This ability can only be used 3 times and has a 5 second cooldown.

How it works:lights up the fire work and it explodes in the air

Metal tracker: tracks Impostors in vents BUT has a 75% chance of failing
bat: allows you to stun somebody for 5 seconds on demand.
the thing is however, it breaks after use AND is weaker then the combatant's stun (since it's an item, not a special ability dedicated to your role)
Weapon : light bomb
Can be used by Impostor. Impostor can use the light bomb to make crew can't see anything,can only be used 1 time.
Idea: Wand: When used it blocks the impostor's sabotage for 3 secs and makes longer the kill cool down with 3 secs but these can be modified in the lobby settings
My idea: time bomb (imposter)
Allows the imposter to put an undetectable bomb that will explode after five seconds, can only be used once a game when they are maximum players
A Cell Phone that allows you to see admin even if you aren’t at admin table Or you can do the same with vitals security or doorlog

Idea: Portable Camera
Using it will give an extra camera in the security screen, seeing more around the recorded area. You can take down the camera. Impostors can sabotage and destroy it. This can only be used once.
Ghost/dead body tracker is useful in 0 meeting situation bcz if you know, who impostor is, you may tell all who it is.
My idea: life crystal (yep terraria /:)
This item is very rare that u may finish the game without finding one and only ghost can see it/use it. It can be used to make ghosts back to life and u can use it on other ghosts or urself

Task faker:
Can be used as an impostor, so when a crewmate is whit you, you can use this to make the task bar go up as many as you want to (short, long, or common task)

Its a computer it can be used to see cameras and have wider range and more camera
It only work in 20seconds u need to put the code for it to work

Magnet: if an impostor wants to kill a crewmember /mate with a weapon wich made from metal the magnet takes the wepon
Turkey: makes you have explosive diarrhea and can be use on imposters to not be able to see vents
The Crowbar imposters could use it to take out the wood in vents and players doesn't see it
Distraction dance (lol) idea: stuns the impostor for 10 seconds
Bed:Can be used to respawn crewmates lol 😂😂😂😂😂
On one hand, items could be interesting to use, but on the other hand, Among Us is a pretty simple game. I can understand new roles and maps, and even gamemodes, but items i feel would make the game too complicated for the premise of being a simple who-dun-it game.
Yeah you have a valid point I kinda makes them with the idea that you can turn them off like in the game settings. My thought proteas that if I add “items” it would give the game more game mode potential and a fresh new way to play for content creators and players
My Ideas:
Uno Reverse Card *(Legendary)* (Only used when you are a ghost)/(For both crewmates and imposters):
When this is used, the imposter that killed you, will turn in to a ghost while you turn into a crewmate, If you are an imposter and you get voted out, you will be a ghost, but as an imposter, if they use the Uno Reverse Card, they can turn themselves back into an imposter, they can also switch colors with other crewmates, (Example: Red, Cyan and Lime, Red was the imposter(Who just got voted out), he uses the Uno Reverse Card and he turns into lime, that means cyan and Lime can vote out Red(Who used to be a Crewmate/Lime), Lime(Who used to be an Imposter/Red) will still be an imposter. Since this is extremely overpowered, it must be bought with money, it costs $7.00 for 1 round/$15.00 for forever.
Hammer *(Rare)* (Only for crewmates):
When this is used, it will destroy the vent that you choose, when you equip the hammer, they will give you the entire map, it will show you quotation marks(Which shows where the vents are) and you can break one of them(THERE ARE ONLY 3 PICKAXES EVERY ROUND)
Item: Sorcerers Stone
Use: They automatically get used if you pick it up. It only lasts for 1-8 minutes. If you use it, it doubles up your speed and it give you immortality. They can also be used for detecting sus/Impostors.
Item: Lucky Block
Use: You can block out vents with them, and for Impostors they can use it to put barriers on doors. They can be used to get a lucky Victory for Impostors/Crews.
Item: CamCorder
Use: Its a recording camera and you can put it anywhere you want and you will have access to it (only you) in Security. There are 7 cameras you have when you pick only one up.
Item: ???
Use: It is the more rare, unknown item. It is almost Impossible to find one. Some say its use is that it can give you higher chance of finding Impostors, some say they can be used for detecting dead bodies. The truth is, you can use it for making you have the full power of it. It gives you protection for atleast the whole game.
Item: Lucky Vote
Use: When someone or if you report/Emergency meeting, you use the Lucky Vote. The Lucky Vote tells you who and which to vote with a written reason on it, that was because then people will also vote [insert colour].
Item: Time Table
Use: It brings you back in time into any time you want.

I have 4 item suggestions
1. Metal: Basically like the wood but with the crewmates, it blocks you from doing tasks.
2. Chemical (Blue): as impostor this could put you in danger if somebody is in a room, but very useful if nobody is in the room, after the impostor picks up the blue chemical he will get a blue chemical at the bottom left corner, once he uses it, the room he used it in will fill with blue chemical. This blue chemical will make the impostor invisble for 20 seconds after stepping in it
3. Chemical (Green): After the impostor picks the green chemical up, he will get a green chemical in the middle left. After the impostor uses the green chemical he can fill up the room with green chemical wich kills any crewmate.
4. Chemical (Purple): Pretty much like the green chemical but on the crewmates side. Kills any impostors instead of crewmates. (Appears in the top left corner)
Time clock:
You can set a portal down
When used you teleport to that portal but can’t see for a few seconds (for both roles)
Tablet:
You can use the admin map at any time even when far away from it
If the tablet runs out of battery it dies and you can’t use it anymore
Tablets start with 30% battery max battery is 70% and batteries can be found around the map to regen battery (only crew mates can use this) (collecting a battery regens 10% of battery life)
Flashlight:
Let’s you see a certain area in the dark when lights are out (can’t affect crewmate or imposter vision) lasts for 20 seconds or until lights are back on (only crew mates can use this)
Cost of Items:
P. Invisibility=4 gold
P.Cool Down=4 gold
P.Harming =5 gold
Ender Pearl=1per piece
P. Swiftness =3 gold
Green Grenade =7 gold
Bed=5 per piece
P.Luck=8 gold
T3TRT Booster =17 gold
Debris=13 gold
Army Knife =Free for Armys
Blue Grenade=8 gold
P.Night Vision =10 gold
T3TRT Stall (Lv.2 Upgrade)=30 gold

Decoy Bomb:
When used makes a fake copy of your character
if killed the decoy will disappear and the body won’t show up
this can only be used once (for both roles)
Add a minecraft Potion of Invisibility:
1.Can be used by both crewmate and impostor.
2.Makes them invisible for a short period of time.
3.Imposter only:The invisibility wears off if the impostor kills.
Edit: 4.If the crewmate uses the Potion of Invisibility with the Super Star,Increases the duration from 6 to 8
