Thank you sir. My father was a Postal Worker as well for 35 years.. How do we send you photos...I just finished a Live Edge Breadbord end RV dinner table...
Hey Ronnie. I just turned 60 and I have been woodworking for 40 years, but just as a hobby. Your videos have inspired me to take my hobby and try making money at it. I have a nice shop set-up in my garage and I have made numerous pieces over the years. Everything from CD racks, bathroom vanities. bookcases, blanket chests, etc. And I always get compliments on my work. But I am getting tired of the corporate life and really want to try this. My question is other than Facebook Marketplace, are you using other platforms to advertise and sell your products? I hear Instagram is popular, but I am not on Instagram. Thanks for your time.
Scammers tried to scam me saying they want my product although i didn't even had one cuz i made them on demand. They can't come to collect cuz they're busy, they will send a chrono post ( mailman to collect). Didn't ask anything about the item.
Yeah, it's annoying. First thing I do before I even respond to an inquiry is check out their profile. It it is just a pic a don't respond. If there's a history of posts, have friends, etc, it's usually legit. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the honest advice Ronnie. One thing about Facebook for me is that I can't boost posts on my profile. Thats a long story, but just know its irreversible. So thats a disadvantage for me. Do you ever list things without boosting?
@@RonniesWorkshop Thanks Ronnie, I have sold other things like a mower, and some other equipment with success without boosting, but I haven't put a piece of my "work" up there yet. I have some planters I made, and I made a large 3 x 5 ft canvas frame (my wife likes to paint, and I make these frames for her). Just haven't pulled the trigger on listing them yet. I also plan on making some Fall / holiday related items too.. wish me luck, thanks again!
Hey Ronnie! I’ve started trying to sell my handmade furniture on marketplace this year because of your videos! It’s my dream to stay home to work so I can be around my wife and son. I haven’t sold anything yet but I still have hope! Thanks!
Thanks for your videos on selling. I've never sold anything on Facebook Marketplace. I'm just wondering: After the person buys your item (especially if it's a large piece of furniture) how do you get it to them? Do you ship it or are they require to come pick it up? Just not sure how it all works.
Hey, thanks for watching! I only sell locally and require the customer comes to pick it up. It's up to you, however you want to deal with it. You could write in the description "pick up only", or something like that. If you're willing to deliver then state that. Something to watch for on FB Marketplace is if you get a message right away. Check the person's profile to see if it looks "normal". If it's just a profile pic and no other info don't even respond. These are scammers trying to get personal info from you.
I use 2 1/2" screws amzn.to/351BAl4 and 1 1/2" screws amzn.to/3uULv6I The 2 1/2" are for working with 1 1/2" thick material and the 1 1/2" are for 3/4" thick. Thanks for watching!
I remember this video and i got same issues lately on selling on facebook marketplace. I made new photos and new advertisement but somehow the algroritm of facebook doesnt show my product to other people that good anymore :(

Thanks for watching, Steven! I have not tried other platforms to date. It’s worth giving it a shot. Go make some money!
Can you make a video on pricing?
Wah kerja bagus 👍👍👍

I'm not trying to make bread & butter. I'm trying to make scratch!
Have you tried building seasonal stuff like Halloween or Christmas decorations? I might give that a shot this year
I am thinking of that as well. Go for it!

@@RonniesWorkshop Thanks for the info and tips on the scammers
Hello,
What size Kreg screws do you recommend that I buy in bulk? I'm planning on diving in and start making these benches.
I use 2 1/2" screws amzn.to/351BAl4 and 1 1/2" screws amzn.to/3uULv6I

Do you use the boost option?
@@RonniesWorkshop yes i did one time with little results
It's definitely not as easy as it used to be. I'm still selling but it takes a bit longer. Don't give up!
Exactly, 90% of the time after youve posted your ad you cant find it anywhere.
@@RonniesWorkshop Why would you need to boost anything? Oh ye, i forget thats what FB wants you to do.
