YOU ARE AWESOME! I stupidly got sticker paper jammed in there and couldn't do anything to get to it. Hubby watched your video and took it apart down to the middle roller. He even put it back together correctly! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
Thank you Wanted to pull the 2nd cartridge without taking the whole thing apart. Has a bunch of torx t10s out and was manually turning gear to no avail. But a min into your video my problem was solved. Thanks!
Great video! I had a paper jam issue on my HP Envy 4520. I finally found the torn piece of paper, but now I can't put Humpty Dumpty back together again. The problem includes the paper path cover (I can't get it to snap in place so the scanner cover will close), the thing with the white sprocket roller on it, and a little plastic curved piece that I believe has something to do with double-sided printing. I hope this makes sense since my technical terms are a bit lacking. Thank you!
Hi. Thank you. I'm sorry you are having trouble. The paper access cover should be able to snap in place. You can also check the area on the right. There is a little plastic piece that snaps into the top portion to avoid it being open too much. Check to make sure that's in place
Amazing video! I just needed to know how to take the ink cartridges out with a powerless printer, thank you for taking the time and showing some extra steps besides taking the printer apart!
Thank you for this video. Did successfully dissasemble a hp envy 4525 with your instructions. It has a communicating problem with the scanner. But I was not able to find the problem. I guess the scanner unit is damaged somehow. Do you by any chance know where one can buy a spare part?
Thanks for sharing. I have some stripes when scanning, I presume the scan sensor is dirty. Is there a way to open the glass and access the sensor without opening all the printer?
The door open error how its solved ? Can someone tell me the minute where i cand found the sensor ? Sorry for my bad english and thank u for all. Have a nice day:)
One cartridge tray is just refusing to read any cartridge I put in. Old used ones (refilled) or new ones.... On closer inspection it looks like one of those small 'connector balls' that makes contact with the circuit on the back of the cartridge, is not sticking as far out like the others... I just found your video so I'm hoping I'll have a better idea of how to deal with this... Thanks :Colour works fine but black wont read and asks that I remove and replace...
Hi. Does it do that when you put old cartridge in? If not, the new ones you bought may be wrong cartridge number. Check the contacts area on the carrier to make sure there isn't a piece of tape or ink stick to it. You can just clean it by wipingh with paper towel and alcohol. Even if you do not see anything, try cleaning to see if anything changes.
@@303electronics Hi, yes I can use an old black cartridge that I have refilled and emptied many times with no issues until now. The colour cartridge was working fine until the black cartridge became unreadable, now nothing will print and the error symbol is only over the black cartridge on the display. I purchased two new black cartridges but the error symbol remains over the black... I will give all connectors another good clean today both on the cartridges and the printer. Hopfuly it will work this time, thanks for the suggestions
Isn't there a ink reservoir to catch ink when you do a print test or when you do a print job? ( so that ink won't dry on the cartridges). I fill all my cartridges for the last 5yrs. Sooner are later won't it over fill?
I doubt I will get a response, but I will ask anyway. I'm short on time at the moment, but can you let me know where exactly you get to the printerhead? I believe mine is clogged, I put in new ink cartridges, but printing is still fitting on both colors. I would like to see if it can be manually cleaned without having to tear the printer apart.
I'm sorry. It is best to watch video fully before trying. You can make a better judgment on how you want to proceed if you get a whole picture. Sometimes, you don't need to take a lot of parts to get to where you need.
@@303electronics The problem with a lot of these "disassembly" things is that there are lot of different invisible fasteners, etc.. Something you don't know until you do it once and break things in the worst case. Your video tutorial looked like you were a pro and have done it multiple times. After the fact I was surprised when you tried to remove those 2 screws close to the latch. You could have broken it right there. If you took that latch off like you did it later then taking those 2 screws off would have been much easier and that would be the right way to do it.
thank you for posting this - I read through all the comments, @4444kingskid is going through the same thing I'm dealing with where I cannot for the life of me, get that plastic, covering, curved piece (covering the paper path roller) to snap into place, do you have any tips for that? thank you!
I apologize for such a long time to notice your message. I have read through more comments and have noticed many people have the same issue. I will be sure to post a video and show how to do that. It goes into slots inthe back and the front snaps in when you push down. I will update you as soon as I post that video.
I ordered an envy 5055 it arrived with a cracked scanner bed. I have a Canon pixma with an intact scanner bed. I already took the glass out and I'm thinking about taking apart the envy to see if the Canon glass will fit it. I already made the mistake of touching the back of the glass though. Ugh. Or maybe I should try and mend the hp glass that cracked off with some kind of glue.
I have a HP Envy 4502 printer. The little strip that moves my cartridge unattached and there is a spring that's out of place as well. I don't want to make matters worse by trying to service it myself, so I have decided to take it in for repairs. It appears to be a minor fix but I am not able to do the job myself. If you know of any service centers in Houston, Texas, please post here that information here. Thank you very much.
How do I clean the print head if its clogged by ink? My prints doesn't have black ink and most prominent reason for that is clogged ink header according to the internet. Any help is appreciated thanks. I've tried poring a lot of alcohol on the printer head, I haven't tested it yet. I'm waiting for the alcohol to dry off.

Hello. Thank you..Cardstock may be too thick for this printer. Have you tried cleaning rollers to improve paper flow? Also, you may need to load just one cardstock paper at a time.
My HP black cartridge isn't communicating with the printer. (7155) I am thinking the problem is in the contacts. I have tried 3 new black cartridges and all get the same response. How do I check this out?
Hello I have a question when the scan is not emitting light, how can I proceed to fix it? Will the LEDs be damaged or will the ribbon have to be replaced? Is it the card to which the scanner is connected? Please do I need your help if possible? Thank you very much and for your video that helped you to disassemble.
Thanks very much for this! I have an HP Envy 4500. Sometimes the scanner lamp moves into position at top of page and gets stuck there. If I pick up the printer from the side an inch or two and drop it, it will start working again. Am thinking I may just need to re-seat the scanner connector, and wondering if you had any thoughts. Also kinda makes a squeaking noise on power up. Maybe carriage needs cleaning or lubrication? Thank you, this was very helpful for disassembly!
Thanks! One reason for scanner being stuck is one of the teeth by which the gear moves may be broken and makes the skip. It may also be a bad connection like you said. Regarding the squeekiness, the rod can be lubricated, or just wiped clean. If it isn't too loud, it shouldn't be a concern, but since you opened up the printer, lubricating some parts may help get rid of it. Good luck! Thanks again for your feedback! Have a great 2021!!!
Thanks for the video tried cleaning the rollers still have issues with pick up think paper like card stock an sticker on the envy 4500 . Can we send printers to you for repair .
