My printer head was locked and no power. Finally got it to power up by plugging it into another outlet after changing power supply. Then got several error messages (OXB..... & reflash 1 2 3 4 5 ). Was able to guess it was a printer head/cartridge issue. Was able to remove one cartridge, put tape over bottom of it, remove tape and reinsert. Powered off and on again and head moved (finally) Removed black cartridge and did tape trick. when reinserted said not HP cartridge. Did tape and q-tip cleaning, now it seem OK. Your video gave me the instructions I needed to get familiar with my printer. I could not have done it without you. Love my printer and can't find an acceptable replacement. Thank you so much.
Hello...I rewrote my comment since I decided to poke into fixing my printer before buying a new one. I have had my Inkjet 4630 over 10+/years and been good to me. Your Video did help me on how to remove the top part of the printer. I finally found my Star Screw Driver which made the last two screws easy to remove. Thanks for this and the ease I did gain knowing how to remove parts off this 4630 printer. Just have to go buy a 2032 CMOS battery that was on that Formatter Board I noticed when you held it up. Thanks Again and Much Appreciated.
I m facing same problem. Checked in inbuilt power supply .This is dual dc voltage of 32 and 12v And 12 found at 0.5v.Replaced with new spare and found same issue. Can you guide.Ligic/ control board could be faulty?
a great video! thank you so much for sharing. my 4630 prints great, but it just stopped scanning and copying I just get 2 tones when I try to do either do you have any suggestions as to what might be the problem? and where I can purchase parts to repair it? I think this is one of the best printers HP produced, but they do not support it any more. :( again thank you, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Jimmy
My printer won't turn on. If I open the top like you did at the beginning of the video to take out the ink I can see green light that shines through the bottom left side where there is what looks like a battery cover screwed on the bottom left had side right above the power button. When I unplug the power cord the light goes away but when I plug it back in it lights up so it is getting power but not powering on. I just want to know should I try to get this fixed or just buy a new printer at this point before I trash or recycle the thing.
I have an HP 4632 AiO. A few days ago after selecting print for a document, the printer's display illuminated in grey and showed an error code, and then shut down. I was not able to note the code before it shut down. It would not power up. I disconnected the power cord from the printer and from the wall outlet, let it sit for about 15 minutes, plugged it all back in, and still no power up. It will not power up even after having been plugged into a different wall outlet. I bought this printer new in 2013 or 2014 (the warranty is obviously expired) and have not had any issues with it up to now. HP Support requires payment for any repair options. Do you think it could just be a bad power module that is inside the printer? Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
If the cardridges dont slide over at 5:55 you have to turn the wheel that is a few centimeters behind the cardridges in order to unlock them from this position. The you can easily move the cartridges to the left
@@jxsilicon9 I don't remember it exactly, but i think the wheel was on the right side behind or next to the black cartridge. Turning the wheel lifted up both cartridges, so that it was possible to slide them over
The wheel located on the right. It's sort of behind the black cartridge. The wheel is white and about an inch in size. It has a black plastic threaded spindle right above it (looks like the tip of a mascara wand). If you move the spindle in a clockwise direction, it should unlatch the stuck carriage. I think mine was stuck because of leaky cartridges that eventually glued the ink carriage in place.
Ok. I'm sorry. I should have pointed that out. No, do not break it. There is tab that helps with ammortization of the top. It just pulls away or some models will have a screw. Do it bfore removing the guide I removed right before that piece snapped. If it breaks, it is not a big problem though. It is not a sensor of any kind.
@@cvplayandgrow3276 Try another wall plug. Sounds silly but that may make a difference. I think that it may be a cartridge issue. Mine were half full, but the printer decided that it did not like my black cartridge. If you can get the cartridges out and clean them, that may help. I had the go through the power on cycle several times before it powered up and allowed the cartridges to move. was able to remove the color cartridge which then allowed the carriage to move on the next power up. Try one cartridge operation. It also made a difference. Let me know if it helps. I'll help you through this if I can.
My printer gets the error code "OXC4EB827F HW MICCI2 C" every time I turn it on and it doesn't go away. No noise is heard and the cartridge carriage does not move. There is no paper jam and the head cleaning carriage is well positioned. What can it be? Thank you
I got the ink cartridges out the old fashioned way. Pry, bend and distort fingers to get cartridges out. The magic door is the screw under the label. I tried to get to it but no way does it come put as easily as he does it. As we always say “ you loosened it for me”.
When you earlier said check comment above are you referring to the HP scan doctor tool. Do I need to connect the printer to my computer or will the scan doctor work wirelessly.
I just took mine apart after it died from a power surge, most of the screws holding the case together at torx T10, also found some T6 holding the PCB for the display/keypad.
My hp office jet 4632 stoped powering on?? Then gave code 0x83c0000A nos_loader_app? Can this be fixed? & why are these printers $399-499 online when I only paid like $150 for it new? I guess because no longer made? Please help?
What's the point opening it up? What are we trying to fix here? This stupid app on the home screen of my printer doesn't work. ERROR CODE 0X83C00000A NOS_LOADER_APP.
There is most likely something in the way of the ink rest mechanism. Sometimes ink build uo is causing the carrier to be stuck. Shine some light into the area and youmay see what is preventing the carrier from moving.
Is there a fuse in this printer somewhere? My one wont turn on. I've removed the power supply and i can see the green light come on, but the printer itself wont turn on
There is and HP scan doctor tool you can download. It helped me fix some issues. also I find that I need to scan document from my laptop, not from the printer menu. Good luck.
hp4630: no support. sporadic error codes, then no power up. a new power cord not the answer. to rescue ink cartridges one must remove 10 screws as demonstrated herein. will throw away as it is a pos.

Hello. The best thing you can try to do now, is to warm the screen with a hair fan and see if buttons will start responding after that.
Same issue here.
@@luisneely I ended up throwing mine away. Buying a replacement laser printer in the future.

I took mine apart but I got frustrated and just took the motors and everything I could use for my projects and threw it away

What is the size of the Torx screwdriver you are use? I try to buy the right one.
It is T10 or T-10.
