    This video, imo, by far is the VERY best I’ve seen online so far regarding the Hellcat Pro and the Hellcat original. Earlier in 2023 I bought the Pro but afterwards I felt I couldn’t hide it well enough for conceal carry…and this was after buying several IWB holsters. So, two months later I bought the Hellcat original as well bc I wanted a more compact 9mm. I can’t ‘feel’ ANY difference between the two when shooting…only weight-wise when carrying of course. But, I ‘do’ conceal carry the Pro occasionally just so it doesn’t feel cooped up in the house! 😂 I even carry 15+1 mags in the original also with no difficulty hiding it under my clothes with the extended length of the magazine. Recently I’ve been looking at Glock (Geez, I’ve become addicted to handguns!)…two of my neighbors (one of which is a retired Harris County Sheriff Captain) are Glock freaks including my landlady (retired Houston Police Dept). And, now ME with two guns! On our property of eight houses I’d say us seniors have this place pretty much protected! Thanks for such an enjoyable, no fluff, no BS, and, ‘to the point’ video! Happy shooting! ~Jim~

    i bought the glock 48 planning to carry 15 rounds with S15 mags. however, i had failure to feed issues, stove piping issues, and sometimes mag seating issues. i gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking there was a "break-in" period. after spending 500 rounds later at pandemic costs, the issues did not go away. at that point i figured it was not worth trying to figure out the issue as i might as well buy a new gun with that cost in ammo. currently running with glock factory mags. i'm sure a lot of people are in my position and would like youtube reviewers to do more comparisons with the glock 48/43. the hellcat pro is really the best solution for a glock 48/43 replacement that carries 15 rounds

    The Glock 43X (and 48) measures 5.04" in grip height while the Hellcat Pro measures 4.8", almost 1/4" of an inch which is often noticeable in IWB carry. Conversely, the Sig P365XL (and 365X) also measures 4.8" in grip height but that is at the inside finger location. The angled grip angle reduces the back length by approximately 1/2". I have both the P365XL and Hellcat Pro and these are my "go-to" carry handguns.

      @Sirgromulus 2 года назад +11

      @@bradpowell843 That would be a hard choice. If I want to run a red dot, then the Sig is my choice. If I opt for iron sights, the Hellcat would be my pick. While many would pick the Hellcat since its iron sights can cowitness with many optics, I have different criteria. I am picky about my red dots and have settled on Holosun for my handgun and rifle applications. I like the durability, reliability, long battery life, "Shake Awake" technology and battery tray (eliminating the need to remove the optic to change the battery). I especially like green reticles instead of red and the dot/circle reticle of the Holoson 5XX series. The 507K will direct mount on the Sig but would require an aftermarket mounting plate for the Springfield, negating the ability to cowitness with the OEM sights. While the Sig's factory tritium sights may be better for slow fire accuracy and longer range shooting, my old eyes pick up the Hellcat's sights much faster which is an advantage for concealed carry. The Hellcat front sight is about the brightest (day and night) I have seen, short of my Night Fision aftermarket sights. While Sig is slightly softer shooting with a two hand hold, the fuller grip on the Hellcat better facilitates one hand shooting for me. It also makes it slightly easier to get a good purchase when drawing from a holster.
      Again, both great choices for most people and if you have the opportunity, I would test fire each one...or at least see which one feels best in your hand.

      I am very picky about my optics as well and this is what I did for my Hellcat.

    First I had the G19 gen3, and was looking for something more EDC friendly. So I transitioned to a G48. It was a lot easier to EDC but, I hated the trigger, the plastic sights were hard to sight align for me, the grip lacked, the magazine does not flush fit, and lastly it only had 10 rounds capacity. (I did not trust the shield mag's from all the negative reviews).
    Some how in my discontent mind I discovered the Hellcat, more specifically the hellcat pro! This EDC checked off all the wishlist items I did not have in my G48 and G19. Once a Glock fan boy, to a big fan of Springfield!

    I would love to have a g43 or g48 with the Shield Arms S15 magazines! And then I did some basic research and realized those S15 mags turn the most reliable pistol into the least reliable. Sure there are plenty of folks that have no issues with them, but there is a shockingly large number that do. Worse yet the shield arms unreliability may "only" manifest as a jam of some sort every 200-300+ rnds. Do your research and decide if that is worth the risk on your defensive pistol...

    Well, I've been carrying a G48 since they came out. But I had to install night sights and I have to use Shield mags for the 15 round capacity. I don't use a dot so it's not that big a deal for me that I have it pre-cut. So I don't know, if I didn't have all of that already, along with my favorite holster company Tulster making a light bearing IWB holster that works perfectly, I would probably be looking to get one of these, since all of the above except for the holster is already there out of the box. I like the smooth finish in front of the trigger guard of the Glock, but I don't like the Glock's magazine baseplate sticking out unshrouded - I feel that's a snag point. I like the shrouded magazine baseplate of the Springfield, but really don't care for the light rail in front of the trigger guard - I wouldn't mount a light or optics on my carry firearm. The Glock's slide release is small and hard to actuate to me - I would have to change it with the Pyramid lever, plus to use the aftermarket 15 rnd magazine in the Glock you have to change the release button because of wear issues. Springfield is a bit smaller if not a few ounces heavier. I think I'd take the Springfield.
